"I'm you, sweetie, just give it a little time," can be read two ways. The way the character means it is, of course, that she will end up like him. The foreshadowed meaning that the writers are giving is that he will return to being like her eventually.

I thought so too, but instead of foreshadowing him becoming like her, I interpreted it as how their narratives paralleled one another, that she would eventually find out the truth of the bombings the same way he did.
