In the beginning of the drama, it WAS just teccy trying to spur more CCs to speak out about the garbage rewards in GI. My read on the situation is that Hoyoverse wanted to get the rewards drama off the radar as fast as possible, and their CC management teams called Atsu and told him to attack other CCs . Who knows, they could even be playing both sides against each other, though Teccy doesn't seem like he's owned by Hoyoverse the way Atsu does. He's too critical of Genshin to be on their payroll, regardless of how positive he is about HSR.

Honestly creator like Tuonto, like Atsu, Like Dish and like Anthony just do not play the game anymore but are just there to roll. I can't remember the last time i saw something event or story quest related on their channels. Good examples of creators who do play the game are Jeikage, Mistahfeet,Rednasyo, Agro, Itspaikon and Zyox( 2yox since his main channel is for guides). They regularly upload videos about the game, it's events, character building and/or story quest. And are in my opinion the more enjoyable Genshin streamers since they actually play the game

However, you think that, i think that, youtubers like biimow think that, and we all know that we're thinking the same thing. But in reality, most genshin players don't think that way. They love the game for what it is and don't think it needs any change. Hoyoverse sees that and thinks "the people are happy with what we're giving them, so let's keep giving them the same".( that's just an assumption, i can't know their exact thoughts obv.) So then, are people who enjoy the game for what it i, wrong? Are they wrong for accepting updates being only story and events if it makes them happy? Are they stupid for not caring about more changes or permanent content? I don't think so.Their opinions are just as valid and important as ours since they have also played and invested into the game. I can only assume that the game director should be able to greenlight ideas for endgame content and qol changes and have devs keep making time limited events and story quests at the same time. Biimow, for a very long time i had given up on genshin adding big changes. But it was your video that changed my mind. Convniced me that even i can try to do something about it. I'm not doing youtube, so other then filling out genshin's surveys, commenting on videos and popular posts or making my own posts that 10 people will see, there's not much i can do. But i will try. And when the next boycot fails, i will keep trying. Because, most boycots fail, but if you never try then you wouldn't have those few succesfull ones that proves this can work in the first place. I checked out one of tectone’s videos and he made a great point about the people in the genshin thinking the boycott is failing because they want instant gratification. They expect change to happen immediately and if it doesn’t they lose moral. This is where I wish more content creators would step up and stand on business for once. I had a feeling that some of the cc being funded by Hoyo purposely tried to keep the drama alive to deflect from the boycott and my assumptions seem to be right cause now a lot of them are back to doing business as usual. So I saw a poll on the Genshin app asking what # Lantern Rite this was for you. It ended with around 150K votes. 61% were on their first or second. Newer players do not feel the pain because there is a lot of content when you first start. There is a lot of hope when you first play. Eventually there won’t be new players to replace the lost ones. How stupid do you have to be to make Billions and say, nah I don’t care about money, let’s just let the cash cow die. Hoyo is the dumbest company in the world.

People say 4.5 will get new banner where only event character will be available but they say it can only be pull by Genesis crystal. Basically a new gacha banner for only p2w players and it is also been said that it will have more sh*tiest pity system then what we have now.

Hopefully by this uproar and CN officials they can get it together. It’s also hard to make change when everyone who played Genshin has now went to Honaki, Mihoyo’s beloved baby. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, it’s what they want. They started out with Honkai and it worked some but Genshin took off and I don’t think that’s what they wanted to happen. Our only saving grace at this point is the fact that Mihoyo isn’t responding like CN officials are saying so obviously if they aren’t addressing anything then they clearly are not seeing the problems Luckily with the big creators moving out of the way it makes room for new and upcoming creators which I hope helps. I wanna shout out another CC that makes actual content - Soluna! He has multiple accounts with different challenges/restrictions, and I like that he walks the audience through his thought process for why he wants to try certain team comps and strats.
Another type of content that i see alot are these challenge videos with gimmicks/punishments to create content feels awfully similar to pokemon where the games themselves are a mess but people will still make nuzlocke's to self impose challenge into the game when theres nothing challenging in it. feels similar to genshins videos with these challenge gimmicks what are not my cup of tea since so many are random with the punishments like c6 bennet or rolling on standard banner.
This whole CC drama was pretty confusing, ngl. It is the result of conflicts that have existed pretty much since the release of the game, and I'm glad this got some kind of resolution. But it completely diverted zttention from the 3 wishes situation and the state of the game that started it all on the ifrst place, barely anybody is talking about it rn.

Almost every time theres ever been a drama they drop a new waifu and it just kind of fizzles. These waifu/husbando characters can have an insane hold over a lot of players and a good chunk of the gacha business is built around that. Unfortunately it can create tribalism and anti social behavior as well
Nah, it is not that, hoyoverse killed genshin with empty patches, and don't come at me saying that looking for 200 chest every new region is content because it is not. The game is so dead that the most focus has been gained by cc's of the game, this is not a game anymore, cc's are affraid to lose their money maker in favour of trying to make it better for the players, they don't care if the game is better or there are better conditions for players in the most predatory gaming system. Gambling addiction and fomo are being fueled by this, if you ever had family loosing it all to this you know how bad it is, and the worst part is that it is legal for minors. I don't see myself playing Genshin unless Arlecchino comes out or they fix the game fr, and even if I pull her I'm probably quitting until Natlan and then quitting again. They need to get their act together, I thought of like getting my free Gaming or getting the Xingqiu skin since I have every 4 star free skins but idrk, whenever I think of booting up the game I just get stressed or massive burn out even tho I haven't played it in a bit currently. It's just I'm much happier on Granblue Fantasy Relink and Star Rail rn and I don't see myself playing Genshin anymore fr.

somthing that rly annoyed me about that drama was how Mtashed, since ig he has some loyalty to Ratsu, downplayed the whole thing and said there was no facts anywhere. When both Ratsu and Brax were in agreement that he (Ratsu) was explicitly keeping Brax away. It doesn't matter if Ratsu actually deliberately soured contracts for Brax. He went out of his way, knowingly being at the top of the Genshin CC Foodchain, stopped Brax from being around him in any capacity; which hurt his career in many ways, isolated him, and limited who he could be friends with. How Mtashed just glossed over that really pissed me off. Sad cuz I always try to feel for Mtashed, but he went and got biased smh.

I think you are wrong on Genshin "dying" the fact that HI3 is getting a pt 2, says a lot, they even stated prior to launch or right arround launch of Genshin this is the Teyvat chapter meaning likely after Snezhnaya or even Celestia there may be more. I do also think after ZZZ Hoyo will continue making more games on top of that, further diversifying their portfolio of titles and income streams.

There's a lot of big genshin streamers in eastern part of the world but sadly they not speaking English. Their community is much better and they have a lot of views and subscribers than westerners genshin streamers.

Frankly, content creators are unrelated to the health of the game. Such a tiny minority of Genshin’s players are even looking up content about it to begin with. They can all move on and the game will be just fine.

You don't really play Genshin, you just talk about it. Been saying is for quite some time now and I’m glad that there are really more of us who share the same sentiments. You presented your arguments and delivered it really well. Techy is a good guy but this way of dealing with things diminishes the effectiveness and reaching the full potential. Atsu and Envi really milked this one, successfully making it about themselves instead of the game we want to improve. I’m glad that a lot of creators spoke out and the smaller creators got the spot light. I hope video sharing sites start considering pull videos as gambling. Looking forward to your next video! I'm... Actually slowly losing interest in Genshin. And pkaying less. One because I see it as a gacha FIRST and open world game second. So how good or bad the pull rates and rewards are something I consider when playing mobile games. So genshin not being good with either is already making me play less. Second is... I finally got my PS4 fixed and my back log of games I wanted to play has piled up. So now I'm playing it EVEN LESS than I already am. So... It may be hard for CCs to critique and play the game less. (Or just stop all together) I get that. I won't be able to relate to them on that level. But I think majority of players, like me, just need one more bad action from Genshin, and the allure of some great games- Like Nier, or tales of Aries games, or another mobile game regardless of the gameplay, and Genshin will start losing my more players. Mobile games are one thing, but console games, the good shit, are a bigger threat. Since they are given to to you COMPLETE. ... MOST of the time. Especially with games like Nier, because that was THE GAME why I even considered playing Genshin. They have a TON of similarities, (aside from exploration) even now. And it's just NOT a bad thing in my eyes. In fact, it's why I kept playing Genshin for so long. But with the way Genshin is now, and I FINALLY bought Nier Replicant, I'll naturally go to the game I KNOW I'll be satisfied with. And spend my free hours there. Because games like Nier have never disappointed me. Unlike Genshin.
No. ONE cc turned the campaign for having a better game into a personal feud. ONE. Tectone. The others made their own choices peacefully and without insulting anyone else that didn't join the crusade. Except ONE. The one that has been stirring up dramas out of thing air just to scrap some easy money.
If you think that you really haven't been paying attention, or at least looked into the available evidence, have you? If you haven't that's alright, but in that case make sure you make that you make that clear. Tec was not the one who made it personal; and it's easy to say that, "he shouldn't have responded to it," when it hasn't been your ass on the hot seat for over 3 years. Other people tried to bring his actual life and relationships into a genshin drama; specifically a little slime, who does have issues of their own, but that doesn't excuse them for their actions (especially since the messages are out for everyone to see that Tec did try and accommodate them), so I cannot blame Tec for putting all that above what is just a game at the end of the day.
This is gacha, and like MMOs, they die. And this is just fastening the process. If you like it, play it, if you hate it dont. And if you feel betrayed, desrespacted, cuz you dont get what you want, tought luck. Yes, a communitie can change a gacha game, but its like 65℅ to 35℅ that it will just kill it earlie. I kept waiting for you to to go in on the whole point of the title of the video and you barely scratch anything. An incredibly soft handed, sheepish approach to a genuinely big issue. You almost had it but I just don't understand why you make this kind of video so half heartedly. I know you say you were tired when making this video but all your yapping amounted to "Yeah they didn't help but what can you do?". You brought up the crux of the issue but failed to go really in on why this not only got out of hand but that everyone in the CC space actively made things worse and have likely permanently damaged any chance we've had to try and improve the game. I feel like this video can be classified as more of an observation than anything with depth. I was hoping with a title like yours that we'd finally see someone stand up to bring up the idea that we should probably reject the CC's outright in order to get back to the real issues with the game but the whole thing felt like it continuously fell short of making more substantial points than just them being a problem. That argument just can't be taken seriously, speaking as a person who literally only spent $70 between 2.5 and now and actually plays all the game has to offer (quests, exploration, abyss, co-op, teapot, and you guessed it the TCG). There is much more you can do as a CC, especially with the time they have on their hands, than whaling to get every single character. I don't think anyone would've turned their nose up to the idea of a "FTP pulls only" two week challenge to get Xianyun and Gaming instead of getting pull videos literally the day of release. And they could still make their guide videos on characters since they all have early access accounts specifically for that reason. AND EVEN THEN, what the hell is the bullshit that Genshin is their only form of income? They could've explored other gacha this time. Punishing Gray Raven, Arknights, hell Wuthering Waves with their new marketing and CBT2 dropping? They weren't worried about losing money. They were worried about losing opportunities with Hoyoverse, and they were worried about change being an active thing they had to do. After all of this, there are only 2 CC I still would watch and that's it. It was not a big ask at all to just not spend money on Genshin. Not playing it is one thing, if you really truly like playing the game. But money is literally what talks here. It's like their hatred for Tectone was so bad that they took "don't spend money on it" as "let's sabotage your 'career.'"

Long ago I wanted to stream games. People gave me the advice of doing Genshin. Not kidding when I say this: Even in 1.4 I didn't find anything to do and since I was in college technically I didn't have a way to whale in the game anyway. So I gave up. In the beginning of the drama, it WAS just teccy trying to spur more CCs to speak out about the garbage rewards in GI. My read on the situation is that Hoyoverse wanted to get the rewards drama off the radar as fast as possible, and their CC management teams called Atsu and told him to attack other CCs . Who knows, they could even be playing both sides against each other, though Teccy doesn't seem like he's owned by Hoyoverse the way Atsu does. He's too critical of Genshin to be on their payroll, regardless of how positive he is about HSR.

Honestly creator like Tuonto, like Atsu, Like Dish and like Anthony just do not play the game anymore but are just there to roll. I can't remember the last time i saw something event or story quest related on their channels. Good examples of creators who do play the game are Jeikage, Mistahfeet,Rednasyo, Agro, Itspaikon and Zyox( 2yox since his main channel is for guides). They regularly upload videos about the game, it's events, character building and/or story quest. And are in my opinion the more enjoyable Genshin streamers since they actually play the game

However, you think that, i think that, youtubers like biimow think that, and we all know that we're thinking the same thing.
But in reality, most genshin players don't think that way. They love the game for what it is and don't think it needs any change. Hoyoverse sees that and thinks "the people are happy with what we're giving them, so let's keep giving them the same".( that's just an assumption, i can't know their exact thoughts obv.)
So then, are people who enjoy the game for what it i, wrong? Are they wrong for accepting updates being only story and events if it makes them happy? Are they stupid for not caring about more changes or permanent content?
I don't think so.Their opinions are just as valid and important as ours since they have also played and invested into the game. And they also have the right to have their own opinions ofcourse. I can only assume that the game director should be able to greenlight ideas for endgame content and qol changes and have devs keep making time limited events and story quests at the same time. Like you said they certanly have the budget. But maybe not the time.
So maybe focus one patch for hardcore players, 2 or probably 3 for casuals since they are the main focus and biggest demographic. That's just one idia.

Biimow, for a very long time i had given up on genshin adding big changes. But it was your video that changed my mind. Convniced me that even i can try to do something about it. I'm not doing youtube, so other then filling out genshin's surveys, commenting on videos and popular posts or making my own posts that 10 people will see, there's not much i can do. But i will try. And when the next boycot fails, i will keep trying. Because, most boycots fail, but if you never try then you wouldn't have those few succesfull ones that proves this can work in the first place. Or even better, our opinions and concers about the game will reach the people in charge of the game"s direction withouth the need of a community uproar.

I checked out one of tectone’s videos and he made a great point about the people in the genshin thinking the boycott is failing because they want instant gratification. They expect change to happen immediately and if it doesn’t they lose moral. This is where I wish more content creators would step up and stand on business for once. I had a feeling that some of the cc being funded by Hoyo purposely tried to keep the drama alive to deflect from the boycott and my assumptions seem to be right cause now a lot of them are back to doing business as usual. So I saw a poll on the Genshin app asking what # Lantern Rite this was for you. It ended with around 150K votes. 61% were on their first or second. Newer players do not feel the pain because there is a lot of content when you first start. There is a lot of hope when you first play. Eventually there won’t be new players to replace the lost ones.

It’s also hard to make change when everyone who played Genshin has now went to Honaki, Mihoyo’s beloved baby. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, it’s what they want. They started out with Honkai and it worked some but Genshin took off and I don’t think that’s what they wanted to happen.
Our only saving grace at this point is the fact that Mihoyo isn’t responding like CN officials are saying so obviously if they aren’t addressing anything then they clearly are not seeing the problems

I wanna shout out another CC that makes actual content - Soluna! He has multiple accounts with different challenges/restrictions, and I like that he walks the audience through his thought process for why he wants to try certain team comps and strats.
Another type of content that i see alot are these challenge videos with gimmicks/punishments to create content feels awfully similar to pokemon where the games themselves are a mess but people will still make nuzlocke's to self impose challenge into the game when theres nothing challenging in it. feels similar to genshins videos with these challenge gimmicks what are not my cup of tea since so many are random with the punishments like c6 bennet or rolling on standard banner.
This whole CC drama was pretty confusing, ngl. It is the result of conflicts that have existed pretty much since the release of the game, and I'm glad this got some kind of resolution. But it completely diverted zttention from the 3 wishes situation and the state of the game that started it all on the ifrst place, barely anybody is talking about it rn.

These waifu/husbando characters can have an insane hold over a lot of players and a good chunk of the gacha business is built around that. i tried to stop my whale friends from spending this patch... didn't go well at all. somthing that rly annoyed me about that drama was how Mtashed, since ig he has some loyalty to Ratsu, downplayed the whole thing and said there was no facts anywhere. When both Ratsu and Brax were in agreement that he (Ratsu) was explicitly keeping Brax away. It doesn't matter if Ratsu actually deliberately soured contracts for Brax. He went out of his way, knowingly being at the top of the Genshin CC Foodchain, stopped Brax from being around him in any capacity; which hurt his career in many ways, isolated him, and limited who he could be friends with. How Mtashed just glossed over that really pissed me off. Sad cuz I always try to feel for Mtashed, but he went and got biased smh.

I think you are wrong on Genshin "dying" the fact that HI3 is getting a pt 2, says a lot, they even stated prior to launch or right arround launch of Genshin this is the Teyvat chapter meaning likely after Snezhnaya or even Celestia there may be more. You presented your arguments and delivered it really well. Techy is a good guy but this way of dealing with things diminishes the effectiveness and reaching the full potential. Atsu and Envi really milked this one, successfully making it about themselves instead of the game we want to improve.

I'm... Actually slowly losing interest in Genshin. And pkaying less. One because I see it as a gacha FIRST and open world game second. So how good or bad the pull rates and rewards are something I consider when playing mobile games.
So genshin not being good with either is already making me play less.
Second is... I finally got my PS4 fixed and my back log of games I wanted to play has piled up. So now I'm playing it EVEN LESS than I already am.
So... It may be hard for CCs to critique and play the game less. (Or just stop all together)

But I think majority of players, like me, just need one more bad action from Genshin, and the allure of some great games- Like Nier, or tales of Aries games, or another mobile game regardless of the gameplay, and Genshin will start losing my more players.

Especially with games like Nier, because that was THE GAME why I even considered playing Genshin.

I kept waiting for you to to go in on the whole point of the title of the video and you barely scratch anything. An incredibly soft handed, sheepish approach to a genuinely big issue. You almost had it but I just don't understand why you make this kind of video so half heartedly. I know you say you were tired when making this video but all your yapping amounted to "Yeah they didn't help but what can you do?". You brought up the crux of the issue but failed to go really in on why this not only got out of hand but that everyone in the CC space actively made things worse and have likely permanently damaged any chance we've had to try and improve the game. I feel like this video can be classified as more of an observation than anything with depth. I was hoping with a title like yours that we'd finally see someone stand up to bring up the idea that we should probably reject the CC's outright in order to get back to the real issues with the game but the whole thing felt like it continuously fell short of making more substantial points than just them being a problem. Maybe that's just me but I've been getting more and more irritated with how the CC space as a whole got to have their drama and we as players end up as the ultimate losers for their spats

That argument just can't be taken seriously, speaking as a person who literally only spent $70 between 2.5 and now and actually plays all the game has to offer (quests, exploration, abyss, co-op, teapot, and you guessed it the TCG). There is much more you can do as a CC, especially with the time they have on their hands, than whaling to get every single character. I don't think anyone would've turned their nose up to the idea of a "FTP pulls only" two week challenge to get Xianyun and Gaming instead of getting pull videos literally the day of release. And they could still make their guide videos on characters since they all have early access accounts specifically for that reason.
AND EVEN THEN, what the hell is the bullshit that Genshin is their only form of income? They could've explored other gacha this time. Punishing Gray Raven, Arknights, hell Wuthering Waves with their new marketing and CBT2 dropping? They weren't worried about losing money. They were worried about losing opportunities with Hoyoverse, and they were worried about change being an active thing they had to do. After all of this, there are only 2 CC I still would watch and that's it.
It was not a big ask at all to just not spend money on Genshin. Not playing it is one thing, if you really truly like playing the game. But money is literally what talks here. It's like their hatred for Tectone was so bad that they took "don't spend money on it" as "let's sabotage your 'career.'"
Once genshin died.. I'm not playing any honkai thingy or senseless whatever.

Even in 1.4 I didn't find anything to do and since I was in college technically I didn't have a way to whale in the game anyway. So I gave up. I still wonder to this day how aside from character guides you can do legitimately good content on the game. Because it's kinda shallow

Bro , genshin UA-cam/twitch cc’s are so irrelevant for most players , they are not ruin anything but their Own reputation . If anything they gave us something laugh about in the perfect window Olof the week before lantern rite and HSR 2.0 , we could not care less they have no affect about the game .
This, though some of the lore channels that actually play the game and pay attention to the story and do theory crafting and deep dive stuff are good. That actually takes effort compared to getting in front of a camera and scrolling twitter and reddit feeds while bloviating and intercutting every si often with an overused meme to keep the TikTok crowd engaged in the video

I've like only barely heard of the guy a little before the last couple weeks, but to hear some people tell it he's this shadowy mastermind that gatekeeps the Genshin CC community somehow and I'm still not really 100% on the details since I don't actually care enough about all the personal drama shit to go through already pretty biased towards Tectone people's hour long reactions to the event.
If you ask me it sounds pretty conspiratorial, much like some of the stuff people are saying about Hoyoverse faking it's revenue and social media numbers now based off of some 3rd party numbers I know to be fake anyway and have absolutely nothing to do with Hoyoverse. Like this one channel seems to think Genshin Lab and Sensor Tower are run by Hoyoverse, it's actually insane how many people have no idea what they are talking about anyway....

Anyway, I implore you to check out Final Fantasy groups, Persona groups (and by extension SMT) and things of that nature and then try telling me it's just genshin that has a shitty fandom online lmao you people rather use accom's razor to fuel a tribalistic narrative instead of actually checking out other fandoms to see they're all just as bad cause that's a much more convenient answer than actually doing your own research.
@@justsomeguy727 in my observations those fandoms at least have a semblance of unity and all of the toxicity only remains online, genshin on the other hand is so toxic to the point that it also affects the real world like the CEO of hoyo almost got assassinated, CCs have personal grudges, obsessed fans stealing character cutouts in fast foods, killing innocent cats just because of scaramouche and the list goes on.
Or maybe it could be because genshin is one of the most main stream fandoms and the others don't get much spotlight.
