I love how Ghidorah's theme isn't so epic like Rodan and Godzilla, but his theme like was made to be scary and terrifying. They could make a horror movie about Ghidorah.

The use of traditional Japanese instruments and chants and the gorgeous blending of original Toho music with new. God, he hit it out of the park; Bear truly knew how to honor the past of the franchise while still adding his own stamp. Legendary/Warner Bros. if you're listening, please include a commentary track with Bear on the home media release!
Thank you for noting that this used Ikufube's original theme as the backbone. Most people seem to be ignorant of that fact.

Never stops being funny
I don't even remember music from Endgame. This grabbed my attention several times during the movie. You know critics are garbage when not a single one mention music in their review. It's like they only pay attention to one thing and can't keep up for long. This is why so many said it was "boring".
It's like they went to opera and are disappointed that it wasn't sock puppet show...
Cmiiw most of Marvel movies doesn't even have memorable score.

The film was made by godzilla supefans it's not like 1998 where they jus got some random dickhead who only wanted to make a jurassic park rip off. The people they got to make this film are fans and give gojira the respect he deserves. The same goes for gidora radon and mosura they are all given the love and care that should have been put into the 1998 godzilla or zilla. Also I apologise for using the Japanese names I just watched ghidorah the three headed monster and because of that I've been using the Japanese names

This is the only one of the three Legendary Godzilla movie soundtracks that I own. I REALLY wish McCreary had come back for Godzilla Vs. Kong; his score for KOTM is beyond fantastic.
His work on KOTM made for arguably the *BEST* soundtrack of the Monsterverse to date!

Critics don’t realize we’re going to these movies *for* the monsters...
The problem is that critics tend to rate a movie in comparison to other genres, rather than rating it based on how well it captures the best essence of its own genre.
To put this into perspective, it's like giving Looney Tunes a 4/10 for not having realistic character development, and then giving The Walking Dead a 4/10 for not having constant witty humor.
Spectacles should be rated on their spectacle, just as a drama should be rated on its drama, or a comedy its comedy, etc.
What's the point of having different genres, if we want to narrow down creativity into specific fundamentals? I don't read H.P. Lovecraft expecting a romantic comedy.

it's a soundtrack for an awesome kaiju movie, of course oscar won't even consider it.
3 years later, and im still listening to this soundtrack... this is by far, in my humble opinion the second best Godzilla soundtrack we have, with the first being Akira Ikufube's Gojira score

Bear McCreary REALLY did justice to the past movies of the Godzilla franchise. The revamped version of Godzilla and Mothra’s themes is just incredible, and the themes given to Ghidorah and Rodan is just amazing. This guy needs to compose more music for the Monsterverse should it continue (Please Toho, let Legendary continue using Godzilla so we can hear more amazing music like this 🥺)

Why cry? When this score rolled up in the theaters I was bouncing with excitement and giddiness, I felt like a 4 year old watching Godzilla vs Gigan (my first godzilla movie) for the first time. This was such a respectful nod to Godzilla and Ifukube
The reverence and respect this film has for the Godzilla franchise is incredible.
I’m kinda bummed out about the negative reviews the film is getting. Always about how the human drama isn’t up to par with what critics expect.
They continue to miss the point that the characters you are supposed to be invested in the Kaiju genre AREN’T the humans, but the monsters. What the humans do is supposed to be wholly inconsequential. The Godzilla series in general is “Man Vs. Nature” where the driving force and emphasis is on Nature overcoming Man, not the other way around.
Bombard the critics with negative reviews of their reviewing techniques. ;)

Actually, it's not that there's no human drama. There is, and it's actually perfectly balanced with all of the kaiju actions, and it fits the theme of the movie.

I’m sorry but if all of these critics sat down and actually watched every Godzilla film ever made, saw their plot structures, their human characters, the kaiju’s personalities over the course of the films, they would have a better understanding of how the Godzilla franchise actually works instead of having a pre-conceived notion of the franchise just over watching one film and we all know what *that film* is (cough “the original” cough)
If they understood the franchise they would quickly realise that this is one of the best in the whole damn series, even up there with Shin. For a Godzilla film, the human characters are fine and I don’t get why some critics think the plot is overtly ridiculous or “hard to follow” because it’s fairly simple and so what if character motivations are on thin ice sometimes, we as humans are very fickle ourselves and can change motivations at a drop of a hat at times. The plot itself is perfectly fine and drives the film forwards to its climax with the only criticism you can honestly give it being the forced humour when really if they kept it down, the humans would be better for it.
Honestly they aren’t the worst humans, if you really want the worst human plot ever, go watch All Out Monsters Attack, the English dub of Destroy All Monsters or Godzilla vs King Ghidorah, then your minds will be broken if you think this is a bad film.
King of the Monsters is an exceptional *GODZILLA* film and an incredible example of a kaiju film done right (looking at you Pacific Rim, yes, I hated Pacific Rim with a passion.) So if critics can give Pacific Rim a higher score than this film, they’ve missed the entire point of it. King of the Monsters is hands down the best things the West has ever done with the kaiju genre and probably ever will do.
So sit back, relax, hate the critics and watch the damn movie so we can have more of them
In 2018, Bear gave us the God of War soundtrack.
In 2019, he gave us the GODzilla 2 score. The man makes the symphony of gods! What a legend.

Godzilla King Of The Monsters was by far the best Godzilla movie i have ever watched..Not only a successful movie but also a love letter to many old Godzilla fans out there
This Movie was so unfairly hated
KOTM has its advantages on monster entrance and of course, the music score while GvK has its advantages on clear fight scene. I love them both but i prefer GvK a little bit more

This is in my opinion the best film score ever made. It is awe-inspiring and supreme in ways I can’t describe.
I love how Ghidorah and Rodan's theme sounds like something demonic which makes them look way more deadly
There better be tons more behind the scenes stuff on the score when the Blu-ray comes out!

Bear had payed the ultimate tribute to the Godzilla fans around the world, he has truly remastered classic music, and brought it to a new generation of fans a generation I am proud to have my son who has seen this for the first time and knows what song goes to what monster.
Thank you sir, for doing a very good job and I know there are two smiling down from the heavens. Not even John Williams could pull something of this magnitude out of thin air and bring tears to those who have grown up hearing these songs.

McCreary is a prime example of what the music should be. Its the perfect mix of the original themes and some new ones, unlike what JunkyXL is doing. Akira Ifukube is probably turning in his grave after hearing Tom's music.

This is passion at its finest ladies and gentlemen. Incredible. Custom made themes for all four monsters. A lot of detail went into this movie in every aspect. And the deeper I dig into every aspect of the movie the more I cry at the effort that was put into it. Amazing.

Agree 100% I don't know why so many people dislike this movie but for personally as a True Gojira Godzilla fan I preferred this movie Godzilla King Of The Monsters 2019 Film rather than Godzilla vs Kong 2021 film plus in Godzilla King Of The Monsters there were more Classic Toho Kaiju Monsters. As to Godzilla Vs Kong there wasn't so much Toho Classic Monsters

My favourite scene when mothra came from sky and it is the most beautiful lighting ever i saw.

ゴジラの初登場シーンの音楽、old rivalsで平成ゴジラのテーマの冒頭が流れた時は鳥肌立った。
