- About Vantastic: We are a happy couple who got rid of everything to travel the world. We make vlogs sharing our daily lives in a camper van, our ups and downs, and our adventures around Europe.
What camera equipment do you use?
We use GoPro10, Røde VideoMicro with a dead kitten, Ulanzi tripod mt-16, Ulanzi cage G9, Ulanzi vl49 light, DJ Mavic Pro drone and Adobe Premiere Pro to edit the vlogs. Our electrical power set-up in our camper van allows charging our camera and laptops to film and edit.
What is your van?
Our camper van is Fiat Ducato 2015, Adria Twin conversion panel van. We have done only minor upgrades and mods to our camper van, we pretty much love it as it is.
How do you afford your nomadic lifestyle?
We live on a true shoestring budget. We travel economically, we cook all our meals, we dont visit tourist traps, we enjoy being in the nature and hiking in the nature. We worked traditional office jobs for years and now we live on our savings and investments. We dont believe you need tons of money to to pursue your passion. However, we have learned that you do need to sacrifice comfort, consistency and safety, but that it is possible, very worth it, and the only lifestyle that makes us truly happy!

Great video and really useful information. I wonder how many negative reviews are actually strategic in order to protect the camping spot for the reviewer and convince people to look elsewhere…?
Yes, I think it happens too. Also some gorgerous spots have reviews like "Vans only" "dangerous road" and "4x4 needed". And when you arrive the spot, there is normal motorhome enjoying the place 😆. Or maybe some people just need perfect paved tarmak road to everywhere? 🤔😄

People have been very nice, I drove down thru Italy, and had freezing temperatures in the south, so decided to go over.
Been here a couple of days, and it's great here.
Winter is like a nice Norwegian summer, especially if you find a place out of any wind.
And it's completely empty. 🎉
Roads, I don't mind that things are only open in season, it just means that the parking lot next to a closed restaurant on the beach is empty.
It means that I have the whole beach to myself.
First time her, and I am loving it. ❤
So glad to hear you like beign in Greece. Greek people are amazing, very friendly and laid back. And here is so much less people than in Italy! Let's enjoy the solitude and empty beaches.

-15⁰C and 40cm of snow here in Finland 🥶 just saying. Ps. Buy digestive enzyme which has lactase enzyme, it helps for intolerance and constipation, then you can keep enjoying Greek Feta 👍

It is always best just to go and check the place with own eyes and make own judgements. And trust your gut and rest is just a bad luck if something goes 🤷♂️
I love the scenery and music combinations you create. Great job. I have a question - how did you keep the dogs safe and happy whilst driving? Did they sleep on the bed or in a special place in the van? I’m curious because my pets hate travelling in the car.
Thanks for watching our videos. Our dogs were just sleeping in our bed while we drove. They did feel narrow zig zag mountain paths a bit stressfull, but then we took a lot of coffee and pee breaks. I guess we were just very lucky they did not complain or puked, they were born to travel I guess. Happy travels, hopefully your pets adapt to it!

Yeee we fed and watered those same dogs , the paret dogs, last summer. Glad to see they are ok. Diferece betwen camping and parking is the awning and the chairs. Living on the edge of the law😊 the best

I have seen that ref the comments that on park4nite too, I went to one place in Spain (winter time) just next to the camp site (which was closed when we went there) the the only negative comment about been fined and police moving you on was from a person who has never been anywhere else or commented just once, Anyway we stayed there and it was peaceful and no problems. 🇫🇷 😉
I think record is 12 comments from same person to most of the areas park4night places. Its an art to intepred comments, sometimes even normal users leave absurb comments. 😄

Have You thought to buy a Starlink system ?
Starlink is not for us. Way too expensive, no unlimited fast data, works better than cellular only in exact situations, you still need 4g contract when you are driving to list some.
For example in Finland 1GB of priority data costs 2,2 euros on top of the monthly fee.

They have soooo much better deals during summer months it seems
