How to make a Lilypad

LaDara McKinnon, a Clayworks teaching artist shows viewers how to create a little dish shaped like a Lillypad with a flower using a clay slab. This video is geared toward a younger audience and includes vocabulary words of common pottery terms that relate to the project.

This video series was created during the #coronovirus pandemeic when schools were closed and students shifted to learning from home. Clayworks has a long history of working with the YWCA after-school programs. And, this year, when our programming was cut short by the pandemic, The North Carolina Arts Council, who funded this year's 90 after-school programs was gracious enough to allow us to use the remaining funds to create videos for the students.
