Was ready to purchase. Decided to look for user videos exactly like this one. I intend to use this for racing. Woulda been pretty upset if I plunked down $500us and then found myself fiddling with buttons instead of the race about to start. So grateful for a candid and well spoken review
Great honest review Rob. I think I will stick with my array of GoPro’s. Switch them on, hit record and away you go. Been using them professionally pretty much since this they were first released and never really had any issues, apart from the odd user error.
Thank you for your honesty. I was looking to buy one of these for racing, and after seeing some footage from those cameras I was strongly considering getting one. But I definitely do not have time to be sitting there messing with it when a race is about to start. Especially at an autocross, when I don't turn the cameras on until I leave my grid spot to go to the starting line. I think I'll sit this generation cambox out, but I can't wait until they can make one that's easier to use. As soon as they do, I'll be all over it.
You were very polite and patient with it mate! Great concept, however not sure why they released it when clearly they are well short of what would be expected from an action camera.
Thank you mate. There is the possibility that my unit was faulty or human error. But for Action Cameras I believe simplicity Is the key and reliability
Wow, really didn’t see that going that way Rob. Your early enthusiasm for me caught up. I even started to cancel my GoPro 9 order…… but alas, it appears too good to be true. Thank you for your continued honesty when it comes to reviewing products.
Ok that is a great review mate. If it wasn't black and white. I actually think it would be solid footage. If they can get the little things out the way properly they will have a game changer for sure. Great review mate.
Thanks for your honest review. I have watched a lot of videos on youtube, and amazed me how good the video image and audio are , but in some many others videos, the quality is terrible. I feel I can't trust first half of the videos, seems like paid advertisements. And everybody only repeat the same info, like if everybody is only repeating the script.
They may have improved by now. I did this some time ago. I am very impressed with the concept and I truly hope they make it work, it could be an amazing product for us riders and drivers
@@ThrottleDownunder yes, definitely! Seems they are getting there, hopefully next update will be the good one, and if yes, for sure I would enjoy having one. Thanks again!
Thanks Rob was a bit excited about this But too hard for me... I would have smashed that . .. thanks for honesty... I'll wait for Cam Box to do your imporvements ... back to Go Pro,. Ozmo action and all the other shit I have
I was really disappointed. I wanted this to be great. I accept there may be an element of human error here.....but let's face it......most of us motorcyclists need things to be simple 😉
Very disappointing in every aspect, I’m sure they are better than that but if there that tricky to work out I’ll stick with my GoPro on and off switch 😀👍
My 1st time seeing this camera on fb and was getting excited...but now..think I'll stick with my insta360. For the price...wow..expensive for 2 days use. Not even sure how long the battery last
Great review!! I agree, good concept, poor execution. They have a lot of work ahead of them. If they can't get close to a GoPro level of quality they just won't sell.
I have a Shark Skwal 2 helmet. Looks like where the adhesive velcro strip goes, it would have to stick to the breathable material in my helmet. Do you think this’ll be a problem? Hoping to hear the OS issues are sorted before I buy one though
good review. not a bad product but ….. velcro is the only way to fasten it ? now if go pro could solve the freezing up issues it would be great. even with new SD cards and firmware updates. still freezes ! frustrating Robbo. GP 7 and 8 black ! arggggh. lol.
Rob from what I saw online they are marketing it to equestrian riders. This might be them trying to break into the moto market. Perhaps in a few years they will have all the kinks worked out.
seems to me you had trouble reading the directions before using it? All I want is a simple camera with a remote. 3 buttons: power, photo, video start/stop. No fumbling buttons with gloves on. And I won't wear one of those Teletubby looking f*cking go pros on my helmet.

Definitely do your research Dan. Many other reviews seem to love it. It frustrated me but I can't find any that had the same experience as I did
Thanks for this!!! Hubby and i were about to buy two….think we will wait for now
That’s a really good review Rob. I was excited too. Bit of a let down for sure. But you gave it some good comments too. Well done 👍🏾👍🏾💯
Thank you Outback Outlaw 🤙🤙

I'm the same Ross, touch wood I've been trouble free too, other than human error haha
Those streets are familiar, you really are very close to my office! ✌️
Not far at all 🤙🤙
Man if they can get that thing working right it would be a GAME changer
It really would be for sure
This is an awesome idea. As an open face helmet wearer..I WANT ONE !

Haha Brett, definitely the GP is still the way at the moment. But technology is heading in the right direction though

I think my GoPro hero 4 has better footage.
@@hachewie I know my 9 does 🤣
@@IronDundee Absolutely.
Amazon reviews are few but bad. Thanks for sharing this video.
That is a great review with a good response. It will be good to see what they can come back with
I just hope they can improve. We need this product in the market place
@@ThrottleDownunder Agreed
Great review, Thank you!

Cheers..

Seems cumbersome to use but looks promising. Will wait for the next generation Cambox
Thanks Rob good honest review for sure. Hope they get it sorted out. The B&W looked a bit grainy. GoPro needs some good competition..👍🏻🇦🇺
Yes mate I want them to be amazing. I hope they do make some changes
A flashing LED at eye level seems a problem!LOL

That's it mate. As I said maybe it's human error, but after spending so much time messing with it, it frustrated me
I'll stick with my Gopro for now until this product is improved. I like pressing the button and knowing that it will start/stop recording.
GoPro for the win 🏆
I think they have a hell of a long way to go mate with that yet great review mate some people would not be honest about it .
Thank you guys

I like the idea too but refining these things take time money and feedback like this great vid mate goodonya cheers
It's a tough market place going up against Giants. That's why I wanted to be constructive.
@@ThrottleDownunder that’s it bro I hope they keep developing it there’s great potential in that type of camera for our consumer group time will tell

Thank you mate. I hope they nail it, because to be honest, I want this to work great. I want to use it
@@ThrottleDownunder It would be nice to have a discreet, high quality action cam to use wouldn't it.

Thats definitely where is sticks for sure. I'm yet to spend anymore time with it but I will update it soon
Not feeling the love ... yet. Good review
Thank you Sidney

I haven't had any GP issues yet. I'm must be lucky

They've given me some more information. So I'll probably do a follow up video too
I have one of these and I had NO idea that the green blinking light was recording! Why is it green!? Why isn't it red!?
Were you actually able to film for more than 10 minutes at a time?
No I did not know that
eh ....quality is equal to my gopro 3 man and its clumsy
bugga, that's a bit disappointing ....
Your too kind … absolute rubbish product for something trying to compete in 2021.. just like there drones (parrot) not the best ..
good review champ
Thanks for you message Tony 🤙
Wow. What a shame huh. 😤
Luckily it didn’t scorch your hair in your helmet with all that heat from it..😋
Haha true. Actually the if that heat occurred whilst riding it could be dangerous
