Why does Vogue Call every breathing Female a SUPER MODEL?? That word has now lost its meaning.I didnt even know who this was until Vogue carelessly used the name SUPER MODEL AGAIN AND AGAIN
I love how she clarified the Shalom Harlow "takeover" moment. Ultimate grace and class and friendship w/ her fellow model sister!
Shalom pretty much said the same in her own video. 👍🏻
Younger generations dont realize how big amber was in the 90s and 2000s. Even if you may not know her name you surely know her face. Im so glad shes getting the recognition she deserves now.
I’m 42, never heard of her
@@bf5497 Allegra Cole?! You've never heard of her? 🤯
@@bf5497 Obviously everybody don't know about her. Mostly fashion fans know very well her career

it's so refreshing to see a model that was so present in their career. Often times when vogue does these sit downs with models to go over their careers, there is almost an 'oh, ya.. I forgot about that until now' vibe.
I love that as soon as she turns a page she's so thoughtful and engaged, and remembers everything in front of her like it was yesterday.
I love her reaction as she flips a page. You can really see all the memories that come back to her as she sees the picture.
She has gotten even more beautiful with age, if that is even humanly possible. I love seeing a woman embrace aging with confidence, not trying to look 20 or 30 forever. I would love to see her in beauty campaigns again.
some asians look 25 at 50 and they are people who look 37 at 56 till 65
That's what we call "Supermodel"
She and Shalom Harlow the BEST Supermodelo Friends example
Yep… a different breed!
Amen!
Nope not everyone can be a supermodel y'all need to stop throwing it around for anyone lmao.

An actual supermodel.
Don’t end Shalom like that
@@limpflute3559 they didnt
Oh she is so unfairly gorgeous on the outside but also on the inside. Such a complex, beautiful character.
She isn not only a supermode, but a great actress, just like Abbey Lee.
She was amazing in Hitch!
OH MY GOSH SHE'S ALLEGRA !!!!!!!!! it was on the tip of my tongue !!!!!!

See "What Lies Beneath".... 😮
@@KingoftheRoad-2023because she’s literally one of the OGs she walked with naomi and shalom if you watched the video you would at least know about the latter
Side note: not only is Amber iconic in the fashion industry, she's also iconic in horror. One of the first times I saw her was in Dead Silence (a James Wan film). I remember thinking how stunning she looked not even realizing she was a model. We love a multi-talented queen ✨✨
Haven’t seen it but saw her in What Lies Beneath with Michelle Pfeiffer and Harrison Ford.
It’s labeled as a horror but it’s not- it’s just suspenseful.
Yes!!!!!😊
I liked that she spoke a lot about others and not only herself. ❤
Amber is a class act all the way!
Her voice … her attitude it’s soooo classy ❤ love that vogue is bringing the OGs
That Shallom anecdote is such a perfect 90s supermodel story, I love it
Wow, this was so beautifully expressed. I love how Amber showed incredible respect and appreciation for all of the opportunitie given to her and people she worked/collaborated with.
Amber is sensational and more beautiful with each passing year. It is also fantastic to see the Shalamber duo back working together.
The 90’s supermodels were like none other period.
So articulate and well spoken, most of the time I just go through video quickly, but I very much enjoyed Amber talking about her looks.
A beauty inside and out. I was honored to have worked with her and she was and is 100% sincere and lovely. I’m so happy to see her making waves of sustainability in Fashion. Thank you Amber! ❤
What a lovely, lovely interview. I remember those early magazine covers! Her green eyes, so gorgeous, she totally "burned the camera lens" in that amazing model way. And yes, that Tom Ford show she opened was HUGE, instantly iconic. Much admiration for Amber Valletta, her person and her career. THANK you Vogue.
I love how she expresses herself and the gracefull way she gives this viedo so much substance and shines a light on everyone.
Great job!
I really love this series! I grew up with the original SuperModels so having them reflect on some of their iconic looks now is just so much fun!
I'm glad she overcame her tough battle with drugs and alcohol! She's a strong beautiful woman. Very inspirational 👏
I know everyone talks about Linda Evangelista as being the best of the best, both on print and runway but AMBERRR , her face, her expression, her fierceness is force to be reckon with.
The ICONIC picture in black and white of her with the angel wings shot by Peter Lindeberg is MAGNIFIQUE… her body language and face just really translate beautifully in any image.. and I love her.
I think if anyone can give Linda a run for her money with facial expression it’s the likes of Amber and Kate Moss… imo. Just natural storytellers you know .. something we sort of lack now a days.
I couldn't agree with you more! Well said! 👏👏👏👏👏
I agree about Linda and Kate, but I think you should include Kristen Mc Menamy too.
That Peter Lindbergh editorial with the angel wings in New York is one of the most iconic photoshoots in fashion history.
We can all agree she's just so entertaining! Like if you support her!!💞✨
She is so classy & beautiful. I love how she clarified Harlow moment gracefully.
Such an inspiration to see Amber working towards an increase of sustainability in fashion. Bravo!
Timeless beauty. Loved Amber.
Timeless beauty and so classy ❤
❤❤
What an incredible career and talent. Thank you Vogue for featuring these stories-I teared up when Amber was sharing that tribute to Albera
Amber has been my favorite supermodel since the early 90s. She continues to inspire!
What a lovely woman. That retrospective was very nostalgic. It’s funny that girls of my time had favourite supermodels. I don’t know if that’s still a thing. I’m not sure it is on the large scale it was for us. Amber was always one of my favourites and to see how many truly iconic moments she was a part of is impressive.
Love her! She’s truly one of the best models of all time!
Amber and Nadia were my two absolute favs in the post Christy/Cindy/Kate/Naomi/Linda generation.
Amber having had participated in a handful of important fashion moments is so❤
I absolutely LOVE Amber! She is such a natural, she is stunning but also always had something soo relatable and likable about her. She is so effortless and always looked like she was having fun. Back then they were called SUPERmodels for a reason.
Agreed miss the 90s supermodels
I love listening to her. She has depth in the way she describes each piece. Very vivid memory too!
She's very humble and graceful about the Shalom thing. Classy lady.
They should've also included the Fall 2000 Versace campaign with Georgina Greenville. That was such an iconic look.
I love Amber Valetta! So timeless, so classy. Thank you for featuring her.
Also, love those earrings. Are they David Yurman?
I would love to know the brand of those earrings, I thought they were Bottega Veneta.
Amber is a timeless icon! Literally one of the uber-super-models!!
She's so well spoken and elegant! ❤
First time I really saw her outside of fashion was in 'What Lies Beneath' with Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer. She has always been an actress for me. Then I found out she was an actual supermodel.
so beautiful and well spoken! ❤️
I love her, I’m so happy that she’s having such a successful career 💛💛
I’m not a supermodel fan but her what can I say. She still got it. Aging like wine 🍷 #BottomsUp
she’s sooo beautiful and also the commentary on this video such an icon and class act 🤍🤍🤍
This is truly a beautiful human being. It is not just about the way she looks. It is about the way she speaks. It is about her values and her beauty. I’ve always loved her as a model, but clearly you can tell that she is beauty incarnate through and through❤
I remember she used to be everywhere with her campaigns!! I’m glad she’s back and more active again these recent years ❤❤
She's such a beautiful and charming woman. I didn't know her before I saw her walking for Mugler this year and I was so mesmerized by her catwalk and now I'm a fan.
Her Versace looks are my favorite.
Thank you for sharing your memories with us👏🏽
LOVE that Versace look! The Ad Campaign is awesome! ❤❤
I remember watching you on the Transporter as a kid here in Kenya with Jason Statham, never knew you were a supermodel until I became an adult. You're still stunning and congratulations on your stellar career! That's you at the CFDA honoring Amina Mohamed our former Minister of Foreign Affairs at the UN.
Im 38 and she was everywhere in the 90s then Saw her in Hitch and she impressed me alot. As an actress, she had everything and her timing and ability were the most natural.
She was just brilliant in that role and just exuded warmth and sincerity that was simply wonderful.
She seems like that in real life and its actually refreshing to see a person grow more confident and embrace the process of becoming mature. Shes grown into a lovely woman who looks natural, and has a face that still moves and she seems really cool and fun.
I kind of wouldnt mind a night of some pool, a few beers and an open jukebox in a dive somewhere to have a drink and play some tunes and see what music she would put on to play pool and get drunk...
Shed be a laugh I reckon
So gorgeous, elegant and noble. One of the best models ever❤️
Love Amber. A true fashion icon and an awesome and strong person.
She's such a chameleon and looks so different with each look. I wonder how many times I've seen her throughout my 39 years on this earth not knowing it's her.
awesome retrospective … Amber has been my favorite Model of All Time since the first day I saw her on her first US Vogue Cover … does she now have 17 US Vogue Covers?
Amber is the true definition of substance, beauty, class ams intelligence!! Just amazing ❤❤
Ive always found her so uniquely beautiful and to have a beautiful energy since seeing her in 'Hitch'. Very excited that she was on here!
she’s the epitome of American beauty, not in the "girl next door" kind of way, just pure American beauty
Wat is pure American beauty?.......she's EUROPEAN..not real American
she’s of italian and british ancenstry
@@henriquearaujo9283 white americans are european
A highly intelligent, well spoken woman. Pure class
Candice Swanepoel should definitely come. I would love to see him in this series too.
See her*
Yes!!!
Him he is non binary now
Lol her. And no she is not “non binary”
Him??
she's an icon, she's a legend and she's a moment (and always be) ! now come on now!
ONE OF MY FAVES
I love her so much. The 90's models are my favorite.
By far, Amber is my absolute number one!
Truly super!
Hope to see Kristen McMenamy, Karen Elson, Guinevere Van Seenus, Jessica Stam, Chloe Sevigny, Kate Moss (!), and Ms. Linda Evangelista on this series!
Linda is already in one episode 😊 and Kate does one about “what’s in my bag” but in with you on Guinevere and Kristen - especially with the 90s edge they had! ❤
And Elle, but she’s a bit of a cooker nutjob now.
Love that she mentioned Hitch, she was absolutely adorable in it
One of the all time great beauties.
One of my fav model
I’m so proud of my fellow Okie. Tulsa, Oklahoma. Booker T! Amber always!!!
One of the or only multi faceted models, actor. Always classy n beautiful.
Love,love, love this woman❤
Life in Looks is always at its best when done with supers or seasoned artists
Such a beautiful soul
I am looking forward to more chapters, cheers.
she is so naturally beautiful
She's so ridiculously beautiful.
My fav channel
Very nice listening to her, brings back memories.
WOW!!! How crazy!!! You wore that beautiful dress first, however…. Jlo made it epic!!!❤❤❤❤❤
she has such a bright personality.
I was introduced to her by Revenge and What Lies Beneath, as I didn’t follow fashion. Love her.
“My best friend, Shalom”
Iconic!
Fabulous Amber I remember bk in 1996 or 1997 there was a special issue of Elle Top Model about Amber.I still have got it somewhere.
What an incredibly smart and articulate woman!
I would looooove to see Yasmeen Ghauri do one of these ❤️
6:19 - I only clicked for this dress. had no idea of who this model was (never heard of her). I wanted this dress so badly when I was younger. I LOVED it. still do.
She’s not just a supermodel as you can see she has a genuine, kind aura that you know you can trust her completely and transparently.
She is so well spoken and elegant. There’s an inner beauty and intelligence there that shines through in this interview 🤩
She's so fun to listen to
I love this series. So fun.
I like this lady a lot. She is authentic & compassionate. Both are great qualities to bare ❤
I love that Shalamber moment at Todd Oldham's show! I loved seeing her point of view in this episode! 😂😂😂😂😂
love her. one of my favorites.
How can you be so classy beautiful and talented for the assignment... I love you amber❤
