Those aren’t shoes, she’s bare foot. She’s wearing a jewellery piece called Ghongroo. Which had a beautiful sound. Used while dancing any classical Indian dance.
When you're a western (as I am) at first the only thing you can think of when watching bollywood is about how beautiful and opulent all is. It's impossible to catch all of the small gestures Madhuri does, to appreciate the exquisite abhinaya. You need to study and have a lot of knowledge to catch all of The references.

I usually like ur reactions but not this one. You don't know the amount of thought hardwork and dedication went into creating this masterpiece. She isnt saying she is flawless. She is telling a beautiful story through her dance and expressions. You missed out on it coz you were busy making nonsensical comments throughout the video. I see so many critical/hate comments on this video. When folks dislike a culture, that's unacceptable. When they like and enjoy another culture but don't fully grasp the concept of it, that's also unacceptable. Sadly it is not. It disrespects an art form, which was actually BANNED during english occupation in India. To sing or do the taals, it can take years to perfect and to dance as well. This is an art form called kathak and karnatic. This video is heavily disrespectful and shows what the western world sees in the culture of minorities, a great example would be how they called her princess jasmine (the most heavily sexualized princess) just because of her clothes, which are traditional and are not sexual, and this is not even mentioning the fact that jasmine is ARABIAN not indian. These people continue to ridicule art forms simply because they do not understand them. It is not funny.
