I was greatly impressed by the depth of your analysis and the clarity of expression you bring out in those videos. I warmly appreciate and heartily congratulate you for the splendid work that you are doing.
In your video on Rajya Sabha elections, I have just one point seeking clarification. I could easily comprehend the fact that the candidate with the lowest number of votes is eliminated and all their votes are further appropriated to the other candidates as per the second preference. But in the case of a candidate having surplus votes, how is the surplus further appropriated? For example, if a candidate requires 40 votes and gets 44 votes, there are 4 surplus votes. But out of these 44, which four are deemed as the surplus so that their second preference votes shall be taken?
Hope my question is clear.
