- A quick review of the Gedore Tools S8393 Power pliers set. Included are a pair of 8250-200 JC Combination Pliers, a pair of 8314-180 JC Power Side Cutters, and a pair of 142 10 TL Adjustable Universal Water Pump Pliers, Which are very similar to the Knipex cobra pliers.

I also picked up this set on the Black Friday day. The patent for the Knipex original cobra design expired in 2015 so you will probably see a lot of brands copying their design.

Yup and I have noticed similar tools popping up from different manufacturers now.
I saw Ks tools, Toptul, Hazet, even knipex owned orbis has come up with similar pliers.
those pliers are badass. I don't have those, I have knipex but same design, I freaking love them, especially when oil filters don't want to come off the right way lol.

Just like knipex the gedore pliers are great stuff. you should also give Stubai tools a try. their pliers are high quality Tools for heavy duty usage and also made (even forged) in austria

I just got that set off Amazon for 26.76€ when it was on sale.
Very nice pliers. 8,92€ per pair - you can't beat that with an ugly stick.
They may not be quite as good as Knipex, but they are very close.
Good price they are £28 GBP plus for the set on UK Amazon. Still way less than the rather ambitious pricing US importers normally ask for German tools !
I feel like you payed $70 for the water pump pliers and got the other 2 for free. Those water pump pliers are badass.
Lol, I did really buy this for those. I originally wanted the knipex version but with me wanting to show tools others don't and this set being on sale, it was a no brainer.

Yes, I love em. They take pretty mush anything I can throw at them because either expensive or cheap I always abuse my tools, lol
