Enjoyed your video much more than those cinematic films… Just down to earth real race. Thanks so much. Is it GoPro or why is the video so steady? How about the battery?…..
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I want to be personal and honest in sharing my running (and life) journey. Yes, it is a GoPro Hero 10, not the latest model but it works well with the stabilising function but you still have to hold it steady, especially when running fast or on uneven terrain. In low light and at night quality is not so good. I carry extra batteries. They last a few hours depending on how much you film. In cold weather battery life is definitely shorter. Let me know if you have any questions and have fun with your own adventures.
@@Up_and_running I will run Kolmården night trail now, just 9km but my first time with pannlampa. Next year planned 55k Sormland100. That’s when I want to use my GoPro, and want to make it similar to your video. Would be so nice to ask you 1000 questions on the technical filming part. I do vlogging and talking, so this running format is new to me.
I'm not the greatest expert but I'm learning every day. I'm happy to help if I can. Cool with Sörmland and Kolmården. I've looked at those but a bit far for me for a weekend race. Night trail running is different and special. I like it. A different feeling. Enjoy and stay in touch. (Jag kan svenska också, och spanska så klart 😉)
@@Up_and_running jag är rysk men min dotter pluggar spanska nu i 6 åk (hennes femte språk 😀). Night trail gick super bra! Inte sist längre! I mitten :)

You f***ing DID it Juan Pablo!!!!!! BRAVO BRAVO BRAVO!!!!👏👏👏👏 Massive achievement, including considering 634 DNFs quand même!! Thank you for taking us along with you for a most inspiring adventure!!💪💪🏃🏅💪💪🍾🥂
Wow, Bev! You surely are a master of motivation. Just reading your comment got me all fired up for upcoming adventures. 😄. Thanks for your kind words. Were you there too?
@@Up_and_running Not there no, but GLUED to my computer screen!!😂 I used to live in Chamonix (many moons ago) and I was in Courmeyeur for a holiday just 3 weeks before the race... I went to do my first ever intensive training with my first pair of running poles, so I know that climb out of town!! In 3 weeks I'll be doing the Boffi Fifty at the Festival des Templiers (South of France), by far the hardest thing for me so far!! Can't even imagine the CCC at this stage, but hey, who knows what a few more years of training will bring!!😁💪🏃♀💪
That Boffi Fifty sound great! I wish you all the best! Make sure you enjoy it regardless of the result. We come a long way with many small steps. For years the UTMB races seemed like som distant universe where some amazing, crazy people spent days and nights in the mountains. And suddenly I was there, it wasn't even a fixed goal. I put in the hours, I earned some stones, got lucky in the lottery…. I am 58 and it feels like I'm just getting started. 😄. Thanks for watching and for your contagious enthusiasm. 💥
@@Up_and_running THANKS 🙏🏻 So so true!! I didn’t even start running until I was 57, during Covid… I could barely run 2km!!😂😂 Now at 61 I’ve achieved far far more than I ever imagined, ever!!! The Boffi will be my 4th 50k just this year alone, with 3 marathons this year as well!!! 😁😁 Looking forward to following along your next adventure Juan Pablo!!🙋🏻♀️
Congrats on completing the race! A job well done! I got cutoff at Plan de L’Au and didn’t finish. Was really frustrated because the climb to Champex Lac was so misleading on the map to the point that I am convinced it’s inaccurate, but it is what it is. Hoping to come back someday and get it done.
Thank you! Too bad you couldn't finish. I'm sure you'll get it done next time. I've learned from many races that maps and elevation profiles don't give the full picture. I try to adopt a mindset that most certainly things will not match my expectations. I believe it makes it easier to manage setbacks, nasty surprises, frustration, and disappointment when they come.
@@Up_and_running Many things just didn’t go right for me on that day. Most importantly, I need to train more as this was just my second 100K. Not sure when I will return, but when I do, will make sure I get it done. Thx for the encouragement!
Thanks! I appreciate your support and encouragement. Of course you can run there too. Make up your mind, put in the work, and suddenly you'll find yourself in those beautiful mountains!
