every day skyblock mods get closer to just being wynncraft
1.20 gameplay actually looks very clean. Where's the modlist? And is there any noticeable areas where the mods are lacking, aside from the lack of a calculator?
No modlist yet (skyblocker is the biggest though), and no honestly i havent missed anything besides chocolate factory optimizer but thats like brand new. And there is a mod for the calculator i just didnt know about it
@@Toadstar0 how much different is 1.20 compared to 1.8.9 and is it worth the switch (mod support and performance?)
It runs smoother although mod variety isn't alot

I got glacial scythe pretty early on my profile and it was amazing (my minions were too slow so i did most of the grind myself) and it carried me in dungeons for a while, it's also an amazing weapon outside dungeons
Toad never disappoints me with this amazing editing

there is actually a modpack called skyblockers or smthn slong that which is out there for quite a few months

Frozen scythe was actually one of the first items I got... And I love my decision! (I used minions super early on) it carried me through dungeons SO HARD once dungeonised 5*

Couldn't you build an ice farm on your private island using taiga biome stick and a weather node? I have seen some guides on it.

You could just spend a light 300 hours to get a second 655 so you dont have to swap gemstones
32:23 even crazier if you first click on the level of minion you want and then from there click on lower tier you just press back and craft them as you go up to the tier you want without going back to the first menu

21:25 It's because you're shifting. Ability doesn't work when you're shifting. I don't know if that's just a 1.20 thing or not because I only play 1.20, but I just tested it myself and confirmed that the sneaking is the problem.

Skyblocker is the big one, but theres a handful of others. Might make a modpack for people

Nope! This is actually a mess of 7 different texture packs I manually ported parts of each all mashed into one big mess lol. There are like 10 furfsky items, and arent even the modern ones, theyre old

My one issue with 1.20 is i like the 1.8.9 sword blocking with hype, if there is a mod for that i might start playing 1.20, and when you type in chat for commands i dont like the red text
Doesnt the enchanted ice/enchanted packed ice in the glacial caves count towards collection? You could have mined ice there for collection and gotten extra from the enchanted ice/ enchanted packed ice drops??
Yes but caves is far worse than lake

Yeah its not even close. Those drops are so rare it barely makes a dent. Lake is about 25% better if youre good at it

yes. The game runs SOOOOOOO much better and smoother, but stonking doesnt work
@@Toadstar0 crap, if stonking doesn't work then I'd only be able to use it for outside dungeons (I'm on my c50 grind rn, am c48 ATM) might be nice to finally get good frames tho, I have a monster pc capable of 2000fps on vanilla 1.20, but in sb I sometimes drop below 60 it's so annoying

Frozen scythe is like 3h of ice mining which is PAINFUL but yeti sword is BRUTAL requiring 6x the resources so GL WITH MAX MUSEUM

i also use 1.20 cuz well its newer so i get better fps yes i know suprising (and the aotv animation is different on 1.8)
I also get better fps in 1.20 because of sodium
I just get 100 fps consistent in 1.8.9 so ir works for me

im surprised to see that most 1.8.9 mods arent updated for 1.20.. with nvidium the performance just sky rockets on 1.20 but because of the lack of helpful mods other than Skyblocker its not as fun to play on, i wonder how hard it really is to just update the mods?

I tried 1.20.2 or 1.20 or 1.20.4 there were not alot mods for thoes version unless yk how to code
The number of mods isnt many, but the ones that exist cover everything you need, especially skyblocker

Nah honestly i just wanted to see what mods were like knowing foraging would be on newer versions, and the game is just unbelievably smooth compared to 1.8, i couldnt get over it lol

I tried 1.20-1.20.4 you couldn’t find popular mods for those version except 1.8.9 unless yk how to code and Majority all popular sb mods for 1.8.9

That’s just not true. Don’t spread stuff like that. If that was a real issue, it would have been patched faster than it would be made publicly known
Love the area themed PMD soundtrack thoughout the video! And I don't know why people would rather quit skyblock than switch to 1.20 because they think it's "unoptimized" and "laggy". Only thing I can say to these people is: You know nothing. Just try it out!
I cannot stress enough how much better minecraft runs in 1.20 when you put as much care into modding it as 1.8 (use fabric, sodium, all those helpful mods) it’s dramatically better than 1.8
