Over 50 years ago now, I remember my dad sitting in his chair crying to this song, sung by Edit Piaf. It obviously held a lot of meaning for him, coming home from the war. I was just a stupid young kid at the time, so couldn't fathom out why he would be crying. I'm 65 now - and understand perfectly!.
