I remember when he first shared this song to the world, my brother was dying of cancer. It reminded me it was "never to late" to remind him I loved him. The title of the song could apply to many contexts, but this one was mine.
Having lost a beloved brother to cancer, I share your pain -- and I hope that this amazing music provided some relief from it.
Bless you brother 🙏 Tommy Emmanuel sure has some awesome, emotional and inspiring compositions.

Wow, your comment hit me hard!!! First off, I am very sorry for your loss. I am also familiar with the dreaded "C" word...I lost my beloved momma last fall after a hard-fought 30-yr/3-bout long cancer journey; the grief is still so raw. I was just listening to his Lewis & Clark from the "Let Us In" performance, benefitting the Women in Cancer Fund (specific tribute to Linda McCartney), then came to this one, first because of the song's title, but also because I grew up in a town near another small town called Cumberland ;-)
This song is another beautiful piece. I wasn't familiar with Tommy Emmanuel - at least, by name - but he has swiftly become a favourite; what a talent!!

I’ve loved seeing Tommy play live, from the Epping Hotel in the 80’s to Pier 1 in the 90’s to Warburton performing Ars centre in the naughties, and now he’s in the USA, still a treasure to watch and listen to. Just close your eyes and go there. Thanks Tommy.

Well Tommy, you are loved in Australia where I have watched you blossom into the world's number 1. It was a beautiful journey I've travelled with you, and I'm pretty sure you've heard my thanks already. I lived in Sydney 24 years but moved back to the Surf Coast in Victoria last year. Your music is always in my heart. I last saw you play at the Opera House. I am swinging off a 325c, but am eyeing off the Er90c. Although an 808 would have to be immense fun.
Your music empowered my well-being, all my life. Guitar would not be anywhere near as beautiful without you in my life mate. One request, could you please nag Lari Basilio to do some music with you! That would be extraordinary.
