hint for when your ship gets stuck, try switching the save to creative, copying it somewhere nearby and remove the original and then change it back to survival, that should keep all inventories the same but without being inside your station, hope it helps :D just incase it ever breaks seriously.
I'm surprised you got that multi hinge solar panel setup to work in the 1st place. Any time I tried recently with more than 1 hinge I got the same behavior but without even trying to merge.
If you've got shared inertia tensor enabled on the hinges, they might be trying to stay in a certain position that doesn't correctly update when you merge to another grid. Also, since power cells aren't something you can craft, would it be worth snagging the batteries from unknown signals while you're taking their canvas? Merge them to another ship and they'll no longer despawn from what I've found
I don't think I have share inertial tensor on, but I'll have to check. I actually did take batteries from unknown signals back at the start of the series. I might start again if I ever find myself far from stations and needing parts, but for now I should be able to get to trading stations to buy the parts I need.
Yeah, water is cool, but hopefully the new engine is focused on making the gameplay smooth first. I don't care if there is pretty water if my ships are exploding.
Subgrids are a ticking timebomb on servers.
They've been playing nice so far, but it's just a matter of time. :D

I'll keep this in mind for the future. Unfortunately it won't work for this playthrough though. I'm playing on a public server (which is not my own).
Need to tell people who join to make sure to make parachutes so you can steal them later. Great video though. Those solar panels were flipping out!
Hahaha, I should promote parachutes more. I hear about people crashing all the time. They could save us all a little trouble.
Your ship looks great 👍 My heart sank when I heard that explosion. Please remember to make a blueprint!
Thanks, and yes, it is blueprinted. I do that religiously as I build things. :)
This is one of the coolest builds I've seen on youtube. Love the hub. Looking forward to the next ep. more modules and another hub.
Thanks! Glad you like it, I've been having a great time working with the small grids.

Interesting. For the most part it has been really stable for me. I'm surprised nothing exploded this episode though.
With the outside hinges they should have SIT on the solar panels on the rover ship
A big docking module with a bunch of places to dock all your ships would be cool
Something like this is near the top of my list. It would also let me dock more modules.
You always say we need to never do that again, but always do. 😱😅🤣😂😁
Haha, yeah. It only sticks for so long, then I need reminding. XD
Nice work Shifty!
The Lifter looks pretty nice btw.
Maybe a few armour blocks around the thrusters you blew up? 😬
Looking back while editing I thought the same. It could use some safety armor.

I also might start repurposing unknown signals entirely, because they don't count towards my PCU.
Always bringing the storms 😂
Hahaha. True, in every playthrough.
19:25 I think connector is bigger than merge block and Clang doesn't like it
It normally works perfectly. Though, since this incident I've found that reducing the connector strength to zero helps when merging on the same side.
@@ShiftyshadowTV it's enough if that happens once to lose all of the progress
@@DmytroBogdan Yup.
And they are planning to add water with physics in SE2. Make you wondering with glitches like this😂

@@ShiftyshadowTV will most like be the latter
There is a reason none is making physics based multiplayer games
