Very much like my own experience with the little Ancheer scooter: fun to ride for errands but not a commuter bike. Eventually, less than a year, the battery would not charge. Ancheer would not sell me a replacement battery. I tried after market batteries but they either would not work or were not durable. I bought a Swagtron Pro. So far, it is working well,
I had one similar to this except it had pedals so you could still ride it home when the batteries ran out. Also, for weaker e-bikes like this, if you do a moderate zig zag when going up steeper slopes you can usually make it upwards without issue. Cheers!

It will be unplugged for shipping reasons because of the battery, probably something they should translate in the manual. It’s how the seller circumnavigated the laws about shipping lithium batteries
Here is the reason or a theory why the cable wasn't connected: In some countries like Germany it is forbidden / regulated to use throttle on electric bycicles. So Ancheer always has the throttle disconnected and expects the buyer to install the throttle himself plus connecting the wire. Seems like the dude that assembled this got confused or this shipment or some parts weren't meant to be shipped to the US. The control box seems to be identical to my Ancheer ebike. Seemed to me you went pretty much everywhere at full throttle. And re the unplugged motor, most videos I've seen on UA-cam getting bikes shipped from China, they're all like that. No consumer would have known what to do is an overstatement since the bike didn't actually seem broken, just not fully assembled, and seeing as how the throttle could not be disconnected in the package, that might have been unplugged for safety.
It's perfect for my RV. Gets me into town on a regular basis. I have the one with the pedal assist though. Fits right in my storage compartment. Don't have to leave it hanging off the back of the rv to get stolen. I get about 12-15 miles comfortably. No real inclines but about half of it in dirt. Without pedal assist.
I purchased the Ancheer 500W 14" ebike and received it last night. I assembled it without even looking at the directions. I can't believe the pre-assembled cost was around $165. I can't wait to ride it. I totalled my Ford Explorer and while searching for the perfect replacement I thought an ebike would help cut the cost of insanely high Uber rides. Uber now charges $50 for a 2 mile ride in and around Santa Monica and Beverly Hills.
20:57 I wouldn't call it "broken", for that means when everything is setup correctly it still doesn't operate as it should. BTW, even though I get you were just playing around, 0:36 had me cringing hard.
mostly battery terminal connections are disconnected before shipping, if not then shipping companies do it for safety, some customs officers will do it also to avoid fire accident and electric shock.
Did you try kick starting the scooter ebike or downloading the Bluetooth app to change the settings? The kick to start mode on the scooter ebike might be on as a safety feature.
Standard power control disconnection when delivered this is no surprise a factory standard it stops the battery being drained to 0Vdc which kills the battery. After sales service should know this and tell you to connect the disconected plug.
It's actually pretty fun. But if it's for commuting there's definitely better ebikes to be had. Plus this is a scooter, not a real bike so you're stranded when it dies.
Many electrical devices are shipped with the battery undone to prevent a chaotic incident from happening due to a malfunction from being bumped around during the trip. It's a SAFETY precaution. Most have a plastic tab sticking out of the battery compartment that gets pulled out by the consumer. It keeps the battery from making contact with the post/terminal.
I got my ebike from walmart for $99 on sale. It has 3 speeds, runs a max of 15 mph for a total of like 25 miles. It has a full digital speedometer, and front and back pegs, a front headlight and rear headlight with turn signals and a horn. It really looks almost exactly like yours, just yellow instead of black.
Maybe you already found out about this but if you go down a steep hill. It's got a built-in rechargeable system,it'll charge the battery up as you're going down to steep Hill.

Lots of customers have returned the wireless keyboard and claimed that it didn't work, it turned out they didn't remove a piece of tape that covered the batt terminals, it was there for safety and regulation reason. Lol.
That battery cable disconnect is definitely on purpose to prevent fire hazard during shipping. QC issue is in the lack of instruction for customer to connect before use. Apparently, seller didn't know details about their product.
I'd been looking at this a long time ago... well versions of it. There are like 5 or 6 different brand names, but I believe it's originally DYU that makes them they make versions with pedals and slightly larger wheels as well.. A slightly stripped down version sells from Jetson (occasionally as little as $250 at Costco but you only get one brake). The quality can vary quite a bit, but Ancheer seemed to be one of the better versions (seems like they changed the horn because before you had to blow the horn _before_ the light would activate). It's possible if it really came from China directly that they might have been told to disconnect the battery for shipping so that it doesnt turn on in the box and explode or get damaged in some other way (I've seen Electric unicycles do something similar.) It's been said that if you have the DYU app you can unlock a higher speed, I think about 18 mph is max but obviously range takes a hit. Rides like this, you should always bring your charger.
Due to the fact it doesn't weigh much and can be easily carried, I'd imagine that's a thief magnet. I certainly wouldn't want to leave it unattended for any length of time.
But the beauty of it is you can lift and carry into places where you couldn't a real bike. I have a lock and chain as a back up if an outlier says you can't bring that in and I need a quick item.
I've noticed with cheap Lithium Ion batteries, they will say they have charge, but they won't output anymore. I have seen it in everything from RC car batteries, to E-bikes, and vape batteries.

It’s common in electrical devices shipped 7642 miles away to not connect the power source. It can cause a fire under unventilated shipment. I'm European as well, and I have seen a lot of scooters that sport 120kg use a 40kg rider for range tests. If they don't say the weight of the rider, you can assume it is 40kg or less.
When he started fanning himself with the gun.... f@kin lost it!!!! The🤣🤣🤣🤣
No consumer would have known what to do is an overstatement since the bike didn't actually seem broken, just not fully assembled, and seeing as how the throttle could not be disconnected in the package, that might have been unplugged for safety.
Oh shoot!
He actually tells that the servicedesk told him to do it... so after sales was pretty good ;)
Great video! I had it saved on my cart but after this video, it just seems like its more suited for kids.
It's actually pretty fun. But if it's for commuting there's definitely better ebikes to be had. Plus this is a scooter, not a real bike so you're stranded when it dies.
@@TheInja Im loving my Segway Ninebot max but i have my doubts for snowy weather. Got soaked twice and it handled it like a champ though.
The inja and Lord for one night only 😎🤣😂👍🏾this was a comedy sketch 🤣 I could have done with this bike when I broke my foot
Lmao loved that intro bro 😂🤘🏽💯
Many electrical devices are shipped with the battery undone to prevent a chaotic incident from happening due to a malfunction from being bumped around during the trip. It's a SAFETY precaution. Most have a plastic tab sticking out of the battery compartment that gets pulled out by the consumer. It keeps the battery from making contact with the post/terminal.
Stop buying electric! You are a jinx. I have had 4 60v 5000w scooters shipped to me via alibaba in perfect working order.
I have the other problem with customer service refusing to get someone technical on the phone for high end equipment.
Do something with the controller, make that hit 30 miles/hour
Not broken, just incompletely assembled .... nice fittings , just a little small ....
Does it still work?
Maybe you already found out about this but if you go down a steep hill. It's got a built-in rechargeable system,it'll charge the battery up as you're going down to steep Hill.
Holy god that’s bad trigger discipline you just waved the gun at your face with your finger on the trigger
This
That's the joke it's an airsoft gun probably
@@YDVN Even if it is an airsoft the replica of a Glock in the safety on a Glock is on the trigger which he just waved at his face either way this is terrible trigger discipline
@@oler777 If it's not loaded with bullets he has nothing to worry about, even if by 1% of chance there was still an airsoft bullet it wouldn't do anything to him, so it's not about trigger discipline, i'm sure he'd behave with an actual glock
@@YDVN You do realize if he was working in the military or on a police force he would be reprimanded because of your “joke“ and If you needed me to explain to you that the real joke is he thought it was a hitman from the last video I’m sorry but you don’t know how to tell what a joke is. If you’re going to start using percentages and claiming it must be an airsoft ok well what about the 99% chance that it’s an actual Glock because we’re in America and he doesn’t look like the type of guy who is running a speed soft set up or is pimping out his urmex $69 replica. My point is is you need to practice trigger discipline whether it’s real an airsoft a cap gun orbies especially when the safety is built into the trigger. This would be better if it was any gun that didn’t have the trigger safety feature
Inja ma man, I did not get the notification . Always cracks me up the explosion, great intro very entertaining ," let me get my phone" 1 hour later 😂😂😂. Great video as always.
upgrade the motor controller to a Sabvoton 45 amp
Please show us how to do that
I bought this same bike at Costco , branded JETSON .
Same price, everything; it was a good " learning " tool ,
b4 I got my 2.0 .
After about a year, how is it performing?
Also, is it possible to recharge the battery while riding it?
The Hahn Tony hitman got you my like and sub, awesome video
Glad to have you on board! ⚓
Lets award this product a one star review. Since Amazon does allow for less than a one star review.
I just found you through another channel and I am glad I did. I was actually thinking of buying this exact scooter/bike. Seeing how small it is, my search continues
I just realize your whole channel is nearly electric(battery) stuff ,that is so awesome.I'm a big fan of electric motor.
"Chinese product lasts as it can go to the moon, or till evening" that much uncertainty...😂😃😃😃
Well said bro......🤣🤣🤣🤣
Chale toh chand tak. Nhi toh...
Mars.
Lots of customers have returned the wireless keyboard and claimed that it didn't work, it turned out they didn't remove a piece of tape that covered the batt terminals, it was there for safety and regulation reason. Lol.
The Jetson Bolt Pro I bought from Costco for $299 enables you to pedal too.
I have the same. Extremely fun
My brother bought the Jetson bolt Pro from Costco haven't had any problems with it
That battery cable disconnect is definitely on purpose to prevent fire hazard during shipping.
Rides like this, you should always bring your charger.
it will be a fun project u should make a youtube vid of it 👍
how will it perform going up a steep hill?
Due to the fact it doesn't weigh much and can be easily carried, I'd imagine that's a thief magnet. I certainly wouldn't want to leave it unattended for any length of time.
But the beauty of it is you can lift and carry into places where you couldn't a real bike. I have a lock and chain as a back up if an outlier says you can't bring that in and I need a quick item.
Awesome real life testing. Great job. And yes, for the price it's a nice deal.
nice coverage! by the way, could you give feedback about walkcar? or blitzwheel?
That intro! 😂
I've noticed with cheap Lithium Ion batteries, they will say they have charge, but they won't output anymore. I have seen it in everything from RC car batteries, to E-bikes, and vape batteries.
I love your channel and the reviews you do, help me make decisions based on sound user experiences. Thanks for this, I'm going to buy one using the link you provided.
That's a Jetson Bolt. You can now get the Jetson Bolt Pro with 14 inch tires and pedalling setup for $299 at Costco.
" Average consumer won't know", but we do now. Thanks for the review. I like the 1200 dollar bike you reviewed more.
dude the front fender made me crack up laughing every time i saw it. I just don't understand why he would mount it that way and walk away like "yup, thats correct"
Why is it wrong? Looks right to me.
@@JoeCnNd it's backwards
I had one similar to this dont even make it close enough on the hill 😆 i sold it
You guys should look for a pair single-wire plugs usually white, plugged into each other. That is for SLOW mode for older people
"Oh, frick" 😅😅😅
Plot Twist: *Han Tony is not done yet*
Ur not funny u have no likes let me help u.
Why keep buying Chinese tech when you get screwed most of the time? Haven't you learned yet?
Disconnect the battery is a standard practice for international shipping required by the shipping code.
It's the monkeybike of electric bikes
Amazing review!! Very informative… from unboxing to full review on battery life and power. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very cool stuff bro, I like that. 👍🙋♂️👍
A 72v battery, a huameng 5000w motor and a yuyanking controller w/ bluetooth should be enough of an upgrade for you
Its the common upgrade for this and fiido q1/q1s
Ahhh yes I made it early
I approve
It’s common in electrical devices shipped 7642 miles away to not connect the power source. It can cause a fire under unventilated shipment. Often time a shipment can be stuck at port increasing storage time. I believe the first thing most would check would be if battery connectors are in place. No brainer.
Do you check all the wires or just the battery?
We need a video about upgrading this bike with better battery and specifications. That will be cool
That'd be like putting silk on a pig. 😂
Hello inja, i have bought me a Ancheer Ebike too, and it so fun to ride around the Neighborhood.
At 8:43 when they just opened the pack, it seemed like it the wires were attached propperly, next shot they are magically unplugged....
I think you must unplug it before using ! It might be one of the reason. Second is over charged might do it.
From the intro I suggest you install a CCTV system at least on your front door. Maybe even a smart home all together. It would be a fun experience and at the same time some good video content as well :)
More than likely he has a top of the line security system in place! Look 👀 at where he lives nice home and neighbor hood ! I don’t think 🤔 you could piss outside without being caught on camera 🎥 backyard either!
You will have some trouble going uphill more than 10-15 degrees, as the motor power is simply insufficient. That's why I would prefer to pay 100-200$ more to have that pedal and have another modification kit to motorize the frontal wheel.
Bought the cheapest bike but gotta see friends with a whole garage of bikes, love it🤣🤣🤣
Amazon seriously needs to just force them to refund without shipment or cover shipment cost or have local shipment to sell.
You should do an e bike kit next, one of the kits that turns your regular bicycle into an e bike.
AFTER ABOUT 5-10 CHARGES THE CAPACITY OF THE BATTERIES WILL INCREASE AND THEN MAYBE YOU WILL GET MORE RANGE CLOSER TO WHAT THEY SAY.
Hmmmmmm, I think you may be right. I recently bought an e scooter and on first charge, it virtually cut out when I had 2 or 5 bars on battery. after charging a few times, it don’t cut out quite so soon. I’m always anxious about battery going dead, miles from home. Or getting the dreaded flat tire miles from home.
The Hahn Tony story arc is iconic
