But this is ALSO why there are sooooo many great player's today with zero emotion or feel in their playing compared to your generation. We have countless player's today that can shred your face off but not very many that have the feel or "iconic" playing that the past generation player's did. So the technology is a double edged sword. When player's had to play by ear they had to find their own way and their own style. Today kid's can play something like Rocksmith and completely mimic someone else's playing to absolute perfection and therefore never create their own identifiable playing. It's crazy how many player's I've seen that can play the most technical pieces of music but when when they need to play their own thing and improvise they are completely lost. This is why genres like deathcore and metalcore are so oversaturated with mediocre band's/players these day's, the great original sounding one's are few and far between... much easier to write chug patterns on your low strings for 3/4 of a song than to create memorable riffs that will actually stick with someone.
@@RemmyRiffswhatever gets people playing dude. I didn't play an instrument growing up so when I did decide to start in my thirties, rocksmith has been a godsend. It's taught me plenty enough to create on my own.
@@RemmyRiffs That is a fair tought, but also on defense of "my generation" the feeling comes from composing your own music and getting the satisfaction from it. I started playing guitar with Green Day and Weezer and i fell in love with the instrument, now i can even play classic bossa nova songs and folkloric mexican music like Trios and such.

Idk if you found your answer but I started guitar by only using Rocksmith and still basically only use it to learn. I can play songs I learned on Rocksmith without having to play Rocksmith. So yes , you’ll be able to play the guitar without the game, you just have to memorize the song or use tabs.
Everything with skill is simply memorization and work ethic. That’s it. A little god given talent goes a long way but anyone who can memorize a lot, and work hard/practice a lot, can get it down.
Wish I had that at your age. We had cassette tapes and booklets to try and learn

Does this mean u can play a real guitar now? Like without the game? Im curious as im wanting to learn guitar

It definitely helped.
It encourages you to play and learn and progress
How many hours a day do you play it?

Be careful tho, if ur in it to really learn guitar, rocksmith can make you build really bad habits
