It's a very comfortable option where you dont have to worry about the ammo. Truth be told there are ammo boxes but if you wanna just go on adventure with your homies (or alone) and just play through the game and not speedkill hyperoptimize all of the bosses then then its perfect.
I've done several glass cannon and balanced builds using the PC like 3 days ago. It totally sucks for map clearing (a balanced build with Monarch doing ~3k damage on dummies is easily outperforming the glass cannon PC version by a lot). It'll eat through your bullets in no time, so yes, something like Zero Divide is almost a must. Momentum is still superior as it's up in about 10 hits with a ~30% crit chance as opposed to 50 hits you won't be able to keep up. Unless you are making something that can't be interrupted / doesn't need to dodge use Momentum.
Or if you are playing in multiplayer and the other player has the aggro! Thousand cuts has higher dmg potential but higher cost of upkeep and its perfectly fine to choose momentum too. I just think that both of them have their place in the game. Also in the video I show that when it matters the thousand cuts is fully stacked and I can just delete bosses like abomination or corruptor.
I found both to be fine. I prefer 1k cuts because it does more damage and has a reload speed bonus at rank 10 as well. It might take longer to maximize, but it has better dps potential for sure. In multiplayer you might not be able to maximize the potential on trash, but that's not really an issue. It's on bosses when you need the max potential and that's easy to get.
Thousand Cuts was the reason I was playing around with PC again as it greatly benefits from the high ROF. The other big pro no one mentioned is that Thousand Cuts works even with the base 5% crit. chance of the weapon whereas Momentum struggles. Despite all these nice pros Momentum will outperform Thousand Cuts in most cases but everyone is free to pick the one that suits them best of course.
Anyone tried using the ring of infinite damge with the fire rate relic fragment. Its has kinda weird interaction together it will still overheat even with the micro compressor ring. I thought stacking double rate of fire might be really good but nope.
I ve been working on an engineer build that focus on the sparkfire shotgun, handler attack dog, and deploying the turret. Having a tough time getting dps above 2100. I havent got the profane heart. Been running pulsing heart to keep dog and turret alive. Items have been shaed ring, soul link (i think thats the one that gives me life steal from turret), ring of ordinance (greatly increased turret uptime, burden of the destroyer. Amulets ived used the sun amulet and done a fire build wich worked pretty good, but turret is slow, ive done soul anchor for 20% all damage with summon active, ive done shaed flower that has the alternating 35% physical or elemental ever 5sec. That was pretty effective. Best dps i got was yhe profane soul amulet that buffed the dog, and turret 30%. I tested by dropping turret, overclocking, siccing dog, setting dog howl, then using hotshot mutator and searing wounds untill the turret ran out of ammo. I was able yo sustain 2,143 dps untill i had diahed out 145k damage. Nothing compared to huggs build. Not that i expect it to. Any advice on how to buff this further?
Honestly the setup is probably as good as it gets. I have tried to do some summon or elemental engineer with both handler or summoner but none of them do great dps. If I ever figure out the sauce for those builds I will post it for sure
I have been, for the past week, rerolling adventure mode to get night weaver grudge, and for some reason, all builds I do, Zero divide performs always a little notch better than night weaver grudge, and IM UPSET!. I've had 0 divide for a long time, in fact, that's what I've Always been running. So either my crit damage is too low, or simply the flat 15% boost is better than the CRIT chance buff.

@@daniloalmeida6564 the main fire of the weapon sucks now but if you run archon as your prime and build around having the mod up to 5 stacks by the time your mag is empty it’s still not terrible. Alot weaker than this plasma cutter build though and I still don’t like the nerfs, but it can be used below apocalypse at least. It def needs a bug to its total ammo at the very least if gunfire wants to make the gun desirable again, as it stands unless your trying to 100% there is no reason to go out of your way to get it.
There is a link in the video that takes you to Roy's build on remnant2toolkit.com and it is updated for the new patch. You can just copy it and it will yield you the best results right now but it won't be as powerful as it used to be before patch.
It starts at 12% flat and remains that way. In real gameplay when you have to dodge and stop shooting all of these stacks would drop from the offering stone but the stone of expanse stays the same. It’s a safer option with 3% less damage potential

It might be ok but there are few things to consider other than the trait. Yea for us the ammo reserves are useless but we still benefit from the reload speed and firerate which give us more damage overall. When we pop bulletstorm we just increase dps by fixed amount instead of ramping it up like the rampage would and also rampage gives infinite ammo when it triggers so the ability is weaker than bulletstorm to balance it out. Also with challenger you need to be close to the enemy to get increased dmg. Having said all that it would still be a good secondary archetype for this weapon, just not as good as gunslinger.

Sorry but I dont understand what you are saying. What is the OG one? All 3 of the builds in the video would have very similar survivability. If you want more then I recommend switching the relic for the shielded heart and reapplying it whenever it expires.

Not only do status effects apply lifesteal and mod generation, they are an *excellent* source of it. Unlike stacking damage, which does nothing for such builds as this values are calculated off base damage numbers, DoT grants *new* sources of damage. And you can stack alot of it.... which can quickly beat out most regen based builds once you get enough sources going
Honestly it’s just a comfort choice. You lose dps for infinite ammo so you can run it with anything. Bulldog has low ammo reserves so maybe it could work but it does very little damage by itself and need the amulet slot to buff it’s damage imo
I would recommend the enlarged hear or the salvaged heart. You can use them very quickly and get 10% bonus damage from the gunslinger perk and also reload your gun :)
Nice! I was messing with thousand cuts last night. Initially tried it with merciless but the fire rate wasn't fast enough to get/keep the stacks up. I forgot about the fire rate relic and amulet tho, maybe that would do it. What other weapons are viable with thousand cuts?
I've tested this setup very exactly on ps5 and it's a 40-50% dps deficit. Has anyone else tried this on console? Peak dps was with mythic weakspot fragment vs fire rate fragment at 4200 dps. Please lmk
If I sub stone of expanse for ring of flawed beauty I get it up to 4600 with either fire rate or weakspot fragments. It is noticeably different in skill cast speed and mod cast speed on my test vs your video. Did you have flashcaster allocated possibly ?
I did not. You can see my full setup in the video. I know that damage of some weapon was tied to limited framerate on console. Possibly it was anguish mod. Not sure if that’s the case here but we need to check with other people on console

So far the best dps I've gotten is actually w ravagers mark and twisting wounds, mythic weakspot fragment and ring of flawed beauty. But it is quite a bit short of your dps benchmarks in the gun range. Still good and it's a great build

That would be true for the situation where you already stacked up your plasma cutter and thousand cuts. In a situation where you have to dodge and not just shoot dummies in ward 13 the DPS would be higher with the firerate fragment since you'd be able to stack up your dmg faster. I hope this makes sense
I have tested it yesterday and the damage of this build is apparently tied to framerate! If you are on console or if you’re playing on potato/low on pc then you deal less dmg. I already reported it to developers

@@chrisweakley489 it's a random nerud body drop. Rerolling adventure and just searching the starting area will net one random ring or amulet.

Crit took a huge hit in the last balance patch so if you do not fully commit to it its not that good.

Amazing build! Quick question though: since you're relying on building up damage, why not go for Offering Stone instead of Stone of Expanse?

Yea. I put gambler on for the 2nd phase of nightweaver. Also ring of infinite damage is really good. Or even the offering stone

It’s a random drop on nerud meaning that there is a chance it will spawn or not. Gotta try until you get it :)
