- Hip Hip beat maker Tac Robinson reacts to Rush and their Most iconic song Tom Sawyer from their 1981 Moving Pictures album.
Progressive rock masters from Canada: Neil Pert, Geddy Lee, and Alex Lifeson
The world is off by a half beat without Neil. RIP
wtf does it matter so much what he looks like, they're all damn fine musicians, anybody should be happy to have half their talent on their instruments
Yep...they weren't recorded so we could see their faces. It was so we could hear the music.
Yeah, I agree. I could care the frick less what you look like. If you can write, play and sing music or any of the above (preferably all of the above) then you are a musician and in Rush's case they have that in spades they are so good! This song takes me back to the 80's.
i know,,,EH
John Lennon wishes he was Getty Lee.
Plays bass with one hand, keyboard with other, while singing.
One of the greatest rock songs ever.
Well that's a different take, it's usually who's better Neil Peart or John Bonham, LOL.
Don't forget nose does the Mic so he can play and sing
The singer is the Bass player , His name is Geddy Lee and is regarded as one of the best and most influential bass players on earth
💯%
WHenever Rush comes on I tell my kids that their Uncle Geddy is playing lol
I play bass and he is always in my top 5. It rotates depending on my mood.
I'd say in this whole solar system.
Le Studio was a recording studio in Morin Heights Quebec Canada. Surrounded by lakes and mountains.🎶☮️🇨🇦
❤️
R.I.P. to Le Studio. It was on my bucket list to go visit, but now I think it's just ashes and a foundation.
The water sounds at the beginning of Natural Science was recorded on the shoreline there. Not in winter, though.
Wasn't this on a big piece of property they owned? I thought I read about the property and how they had house on 3 sides and the studio on the 4th.
Which I live about half an hour from there.
Monster musicians! How monster? Rush has released 24 gold records and 14 platinum records (including 3 multi-platinum), placing them fifth behind The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Kiss and Aerosmith for the most consecutive gold or platinum studio albums by a rock band in the United States. Also, Neil Peart and Geddy Lee are considered to be the best rock.prog rock drummer and bassist in their respected fields.
You nailed it, it is the original recording session. Wait until you see the drum kit from Neils solo in Frankfurt.
First and last time I watch your vids. There's this new thing, it's called respect.
5th top thing in Canada...the most fresh water of any country in the world and where there is fresh water there are fish and fishing.
If you liked that drum kit, that was only a portion of Neil Peart's Drum Kit. His kit completely surrounded him and includes ice 30 pieces once he added electronic drums and pads which could replace all the additional pieces (triangles, wood blocks, chimes, church chimes, glockenspiel, etc...) he used to have. If you want to see a true master at his craft and like rhythm, which I assume you do as a rapper, watch Neil Peart drum solo live in Frankfurt. It will blow you away.
Your key takeaways whilst watching this musical clip, featuring three of the most technically proficient musicians and songwriters in the history of popular music, are that the singer looks like Lennon, he has long hair, the drum kit is big, and the studio is in the woods. Possibly the most vacuous reaction I’ve ever seen.
lol,,,,he ain't in MENSA
It's a THREE MAN SOLO these guys are amazing!!!
its like asking a computer programmer to rate ballroom dancing.
Your intro montage with Wendy O!!😁
She was a Beast!😱🤩
Love Rush!
My Favorite Band.
That's Le Studio in the woods about 30 miles outside Montreal, which had been around since the 1970s.
A number of well known successful bands recorded there.
The studio which is called "Le Studio" is in Morin Heights, Quebec, Canada
Check out Rush "Working Man Live in Cleveland", "YYZ Live in Rio" and "The Best Intro Ever!!!"
Your favorite drummers favorite drummer alongside one of the best guitarists and one of the best bassplayers the world has ever seen. Yes i guess you could call them skilled musicians, but it would make you look like a fool.
The drummer was known as the professor. Neil Peart one of the best!!
Not one of the best….THE GOAT of drumming
@@DavidBrown-yd9le Absolutely correct.
Top five in Canada. Friendly people.
I'm just going to go with this guy is stoned. I won't be watching this channel again.
PS....do you even know what John Lennon looked like?? I think not.
"Does he have extra drums in his kit?" Maaaaaan! I busted a gut at that. The answer is "Yes. Yes, he does.".
and that kit was toned down for that studio song
As they are Canadian there is a distinct possibility they're in CANADA.
lol,,,,i think if you're born after 75' you are aloud to claim, ADD
John Lennon wishes he was Geddy Lee....
Hip-Hop Beat Maker Reaction to RUSH.....more like a caveman looking at an F18 Hornet in the sky.
He's just a pissed off rapper that never made it. He can't even give a reaction to a video without sounding bitter or stupid
@@sigscorpion9275 One thing I noticed is 3 or 4 times he mentioned their looks. Seemed to pay more attention to what he was looking at then listening to the genius of what the band is playing.
This is the kind of reaction I would expect from someone who is a rapper and was not born yet. Dumb, narrow minded and not listening. It's not his fault, just his circumstance. Rush is the best! RIP Neil. The world is definitely a half beat off without him.
I don't think this youngster appreciate good music
maple syrup
Sub. #17 here, great stuff guy's keep it up.
Rush has a studio in the middle of no where up in Canada. Le Studio, Quebec I believe.
Top 5 number 5, best dam bands on the planet!
The studio is in Laurentian Mountains near the town of Morin-Heights, Quebec. It was named Le Studio, and among the groups that recorded there was The Police, (Sting also recorded there solo), Cat Stevens, Nazareth, Chicago, and Asia
And Neil Peart owned a house nearby right up until his death.
I’m sure he has no idea who any of those bands or artists are..
Your going down an awesome rabbit hole. Check out the whole album 2112.
It's like they're out in the middle of the frozen tundra
the studio is "Le Studio" Morin Heights Quebec
LOL!! geddy looks like John Lennon?? I dont think so
This is real music!!! Not stolen like today’s so called artists. Facts
The drummer, Neil Peart, said "Tom Sawyer" was their most challenging song for him to play.
This was great! Only thing missing was a reaction to Tom Sawyer 😅
Just to mention you'll hear a lot of different styles but they were Rush Styles before anybody else's. :-) :-)
'Roundabout' by 'Yes'. 🙏😊
The studio is "Le Studio", you may have noticed the neon sign in the video was in Morin-Heights, Quebec, Canada. There was a fire there in 2017 and was completely torn down in 2020. Cat Stevens, The Bee Gees, Nazareth, Chicago, April Wine, Rainbow, The Police, Asia and many others recorded there.
A studio out in the middle of nowhere, where you don't have to be bothered, you can create, and record. You gotta have money to do that!
you a nice guy, But your not ready for Classic Rock & Roll
I might have subscribed but the comments about John Lennon and Geddy Lee's hair? Get a life. And learn what real music is.
That place is about an hour north of montreal. It's beautiful there
Poutine...
That location is Le Studio in Morin Heights Quebec. Rush recorded 8 albums there.
A studio in the woods "who does that"? LeStudio! Thats who.
They recorded this in Montreal, not the woods.
top five: Good herb!!!
Le Studio in Quebec, Canada. It eventually went out of biz and burned down.
Geddy's hair would get even worse in the 80s for a while he was rocking this mullet pony tail look that looked like he was wearing a coonskin hat (like Davey Crockett).
Welcome to the Rush rabbit hole... you will enjoy the journey.
Really. That’s the worst comments I’ve heard about any piece of music professionally or otherwise. “His hair is long” “does he have extra drums” “look at the trees”. Seriously mate are you stoned? “That’s why I wouldn’t have my hair that long” Jesus man. The best parts of that commentary were when you weren’t speaking.
The studio is in Quebec. This is the BESTCANADIAN BAND EVER!!!!!!!!! And you are too American. This is the BEST drummer that ever lived.
YEP the Professor Neil Peart gots ALL the Drumz RIP
The Studio is in Canada that's where they're from.
Normally I would say maple syrup or lakes but since our population is growing and becoming much more diverse i would have to say East Indians, not that there's anything wrong with that
Dude....this is from 1981. The long hair was the style back then.
hahahahaha!!!!! That's the Jason Lake from Halloween. :)
it's in CANADA!!!
Dude looks nothing at all like John Lennon.
jason is friday the 13th. michael meyers is halloween.
Please listen to Xanadu live and it’s just one of many example’s why rush three people band was in another level of any other band’s ever.
Dude, catch Neil Peart's performance in Frankfurt, Germany...you can find the clip on UA-cam
Xanadu, Exit Stage Left - I think that should answer your question about who Canada's #1 export is!!
🎤 🎹 🎸 🥁 🎸 🔥 🔥 🔥
Will also really show Neil's drum kit in all it's glory
An d who cares why you cut your hair.
#1 Export of Canada is Rush!
Also...check out Neil Peart's drum solo, Live in Frankfurt. You won't be disappointed!!!
Spirit of Radio is their most successful song commercially. peaked at No13 and stayed on chart for 7 weeks. Tom Sawyer peaked at 20something and stayed on chart for 6 weeks.
Jus sayin. lol.
Are you two oscillating fans or hand-held fans or just hopped up?
Try natural science studio version, Limelight , Headlong-flight , the studio was just outside of Montreal Canada
Let's hope Jameis Winston has a monster year. I'm a Bucs fan, but I'm a Jameis fan too.
As far as the top 5, I think the answer is obvious...Rush. A couple suggestions...
Rush - YYZ Live (Rio) ua-cam.com/video/1eSlvoO3Vw8/v-deo.html
Rush - Limelight (Official Music Video) ua-cam.com/video/ZiRuj2_czzw/v-deo.html

You do know what five means, right ?
@@2l84t since the top five was so stereo typed I thought I would add a few .
Rush #1
They're from Canada,.
Not w Virginia, Ontario. Canadian band
RUSH
good
That drum kit was nothing compared to what Niel Piert plays in concert
Lose ur car lol
Yer, check out Niel Peart drum solo. If you think that's a big kit you ain't seen nothing yet. I was in rock bands and I spent a week in a studio that was a former chapel. Another one had a bird avery in it.
I studio in Toronto Canada
Yes, some of the video was from the recording sessions but not all of it. Geddy had re-recorded the final bass track using a Fender Jazz bass instead of the Rickenbacker bass seen in the video. I'm sure much of the music was already laid down to tape before the camera crew went in to shoot the video. The last thing any musician would want is to have a distracting camera crew hovering around you when you're trying to record final takes for the album. Neil the drummer was so good he could repeat a performance hit for hit and match exactly what was already recorded.
John Lennon wished he had just a third of Geddy Lees talelnt
my channel ur welcome , tnks from brazil rush destroy, try xanadu in live stage kkkkkkk, u never will be the same man
Wanna see a spreader go see Zakk Wylde
universal healthcare
“Hip hop beat maker” lol
Too bad about Le Studio's ultimate fate.
I've watched a reaction channel called "Monroe's Corner" go from about 2k subscribers in mid-April to almost 15k subscribers now because he started reacting to Rush and went down the Rush rabbit hole. I HIGHLY recommend you react to Rush performing "Spirit of Radio" live in Toronto in 2003 in front of 500,000 fans in a sunny August afternoon! It's an amazing live performance!
I mean if the #5 spot isn't RUSH then what is it?
Who cares what they look like when they sound like they do. Get informed and try again.
What a shallow reaction. I don't think I'll be back.
Rush is obviously the 5th 😂.
Such a crappy video!! But the song is absolutely amazing!!🇨🇦🤘🤘
John Lennon, LOL more like yoko Ono 🤣🤣🤣
Who Dat!!!! Bet he heard of Zebra 🦓 though, lol.
Dude, that’s really not much banter?
Worst Rush reaction ever hands down.
