This is absolutely stunning... you have inspired me ... taking my sewing machine out and start sewing pages! After gessoing of course! Beautiful and very special. Please show us when you start decorating... I’d love to see how you do! Thank you.
Thank you so much Kimberly. Glad I could offer some inspiration! I just got a new sewing machine and to be honest, it's kinda making me want to make another album! A smaller one this time though. lol I haven't worked in the journal yet, but I will post when i do! Thanks so much! And enjoy making your album!
I have stumbled upon this video by accident, Denise, and so glad I did! I would love to see more from you. This album is gorgeous and you have inspired me to try something like this. It looks truly like a labor of love. STAY INSPIRED! Xoxo
oh YAY! So glad you stumbled upon me! So happy to have inspired you! I love that!!! I have more videos! Not sure what exactly you're looking for, I have some different stuff. Thanks so much.
I liked your ideas especially all the work you did with thread and stiches. Sorry the cloth the pages are sewed into was such a job since it lays nicely and ads so much interest to the jounal. Love the simplicity of your pages, they flow nicely. Can't wait to use this work of yours as inspiration. I love putting together journals. Thank you!
Thank you so much. I love putting together journals as well. This journal was a work of love. And even though the pages with the cloth was so much work, I think I needed it at the time. And in the end it turned out so beautifully, I would do it again. Plus now I have a new, better, sewing machine; so it would be easier this time. Thanks for your comment. I hope you enjoy making your journal and love it as much as I love this one.
I'm completely blown away. you really created a treasure😍. I love every single page and would like to see, what you will do on them. You are such a great artist. Thanks for sharing with us. Hope, your new room is finished soon. Greetings from germany.
I will for sure!! I deconstructed one of Dyan Reaveley's journals once. Made it into a 3 ring journal, not as pretty as yours!! It was a real chore breaking it down!! But I liked it much better too!! :-)
So gorgeous! I feel like I’ve been on a little treasure hunt! I came here from treasure books and now you’ve sent me to Sophie de cort, & every video is beautiful & filled with so much inspiration! Thankyou for explaining everything so well! Your book is incredible! 🤗💌
Can’t get this out of my head! Can you please share a video of the actual construction of the signatures and binding process or direct me to a good source? I love how your pages lay flat!
Lots of things to like. Thanks for the paper bead hint (clear embossing powder). Novel idea to use the beads as page tabs. "See what I see in it" --- fabulous credo. Lots of neat art. Love it!
Thank you so much. Yes the paper beads as tabs, definitely my most favourite part!!! I did buy some clear nail polish to try that for coating the beads. Haven't tried it yet though.
This is stunning. Glad to hear how inspired you were to make it. Looking forward to seeing how you use it. Oh and the cover is gorgeous - just perfect :)
oh yes! She has the super cool video for DIY Pouches for Junk Journals, Fabrics and Paper Scraps! I love that. I haven't done it yet but I am constantly thinking about them. Still have to make them! You are very welcome. I love making journals. Makes them more special. Now I just have to actually use them instead of just staring at them. lol
@@TRYHEART67 she did! Oh my! How Sweet! I didn't see that. Awww I must try to find which video. And thank you so much for subscribing by the way. And troll away! lol
Absolutely Gorgeous 🙌Love the paper beads and the cover-amazing. The entire album is just breathtaking. Totally agree with you, how can you put a price on something so fantastic and taking hours of work, not to mention the skills to do it; Had you have to sell it, it would have to be an appropriate amount - it’s fine art - I don’t care what some “professionals “ may call what we do, but this if Fine Art, and it should have a fine art price tag on it - there will be plenty of buyers, I have no doubt. Great job!👍🙂 ( had to edit, instead of “ plenty” it autocorrected “plants!” 😳🤭😀
Thank you so much. I will never sell this album. Has too much meaning and sentiment to me. If I were to make another, gosh I'd have to charge a fortune for how much goes into it. Nobody would want to pay for it! lol
Absolutely gorgeous! I’m so inspired to do this! I hope the instructions for the signatures and binding them together as you did are in Sophie’s channel.
I don't unfortunately. I made this journal at a time where I just needed to do something for me. To try and get back into art. So I didn't want to worry about the camera or being visible to others. I just needed to play. Sorry. Maybe I will make another (smaller) one so I can show how I did it.
Someday you're going to have to leave your job and do this kind of thing for a living -- you could definitely sell journals like this, they are works of art in themselves :) ❤
Even though you spent a lot of time on this one, if you decided to make them for sale you could (if it wouldn't compromise your artistic integrity) make them somewhat less involved -- and once you made a few you would probably get a kind of rhythm in making them so they would take less time. Just a thought . . .

@@DeniseLush please do as I cant get my head around how you put the pages together
@@KellyC77 it's just a piece of fabric with a page sewn to each end. Simple as that!
@@DeniseLush so a thin strip of fabric and you sew the pages at each end and leave a bit of space in middle for opening and closing 🤔
