I didn't have my radio with me (will check later) but I think that as we are using fport protocol which includes telemetry, setting ch5 to sbus in receiver option isn't necessary
Hı friend; This is the most usefull and clear video regarding R9MX usage and settings on betaflight and on radio. I will be plaesed if you help me the solve my problem either. I try to use R9MX on my F722 AIO flight controller even for f.port and sbus. But couldnt manage it. Can you say any different steps for the connection or settings difference for f.port and sbus on F722?
One year later, but now I under stand wiring and set-up. I like your video for my hardware R9M Access vs R9MX. Actually my Tx - Rx not has problem in flight. Why swap to ELRS?
Great , I appreciate it. ELRS has much more range for the same power level and is more consistent in link quality. I've been using it for the past year. There are plenty of ELRS tutorials on lu downside is that it occupy a Uart ( Tx and Rx)
Sir I have the exact same module (R9M 2019 ACCESS) and R9Mx receiver But I have Radio master TX-12 with updated firmware and it’s now showing R9M ACCESS option in external module menu It shows ly R9M and sun options r EU FCC and other two frequency I’m just confused whether I bought a wrong radio :( :( :( :(
Hi. Help me, please. I connected r9mx to F405 Matek: SBus to SBus and Inverted S.Port to TX2. Installed the same firmware as you have in R9M 2019 ACCESS and R9MX, but not Flex and FCC. And I can't register! With the Bind button pressed, I supply power to r9mx, both red and green LEDs light up and they just burn and there is no registration. What should I do to register the receiver?
If both firmware are using the same norm ( for you FCC if I understand) it could an antenna problem do you really buy the FCC version of the kit (with an FCC antenna : 900mhz) because of you bought the CE version with 868mhz, FCC firmware will not work with those 868mhz antennas
Thanks for such a nice video.. please, my question is I have module r9 2019 not Access and receiver r9 Mx is there any chance to work with me ? Or I have to have ACCESS module to proceed
There's an accst firmware for the r9mx on the frsky website, so if you flash it, the r9mx should work with your r9m Accst. If you didn't succeed, I recommend you to check for ExpressLRS as it will work 100% sure
@@vincenthpl Actually I tried expressLRS and it’s worked properly but unfortunately in my Country there’s a lot of interference with the 915 MHz I failsafe two times, the weird in this scenario it’s didn’t happened with frsky firmware, so I tried to back to frsky instead of expressLRS but this time with new receiver r9mx, I think you didn’t catch me in the last message, my fault , the module I have r9m 2019 nothing mentioned on the cover its Accest , is that mean it’s compatible with Accest ? or not.. thanks ☺️
Oh sry, Yeah so might have to tried to change the antenna to 868mhz for ELRS. R9m 2019 (even of it's not mentioned Access on it) is compatible with access and accst depending on firmware you flash. (Check the frsky website)
For SBUS you just need to connect the SBUS OUT (00:11) of the MX to your SBUS port of the FC ( in betaflight enable Serial RX on this SBUS uart, usually uart 1). And for telemetry you need to use S.Port (00:11) connected to the TX of a different UART on your FC This might help you : oscarliang.com/sbus-smartport-telemetry-naze32/
Umh Yep,if inverted f port and fport aren't misread then it might be a on software side. Try to save your Betaflight config and then reset/reflash default. Then retry the procedure
@@vincenthpl sir i have 2.3.11 TX-12 and i have same access R9M and as u said i uploaded R9M access firmware to external module and it shows only EU , FCC , 868mhz , 915 mhz . Access R9M its not showing kindly guide me sir .
@@dineshavdr It's usual because the firmware version didn't change (since I made video : version 1.3.0 on date of 2020-04-02). The reason would be a different radio. In this case just choose the right frequency for your country. For the FLEX power transmission it should be avaible in the options as you said you've flashed the correct firmware
Excellente vidéo, très clair sur l’installation du r9mx ôta. Encore merci

@@vincenthpl You missed to show to change output of Ch5/CH6 as SBUS?
Yep, you need to check the Rx in the ports tab
@@vincenthpl I mean in transmitter module we have receivers option, there we need to set CH5 to S.PORT

In the Mamba manual It asks you to solder on positive mnegative and sbus, why you welded in invert sport?

@@vincenthpl thanks, it turned out I used the inverted s.port not the f.port, now it works. Great video by the way

Very Very good!
Does the R9MX works without the optional modul ont he X9 Lite S?
No you need the r9m module for it to work. R9mx is 900mhz(FCC) or 868mhz(EU) not 2.4ghz like the X9 LITE S default module

Hi how are you?
Please let me know if possible where I can decrease the "refresh" time of telemetry in frsky taranis x9 lite?
You can't as every telemetry packet is usually sent with your radio input. I think you can using by ExpressLRS firmware rather than Frsky

Is we can only connect R9Mx receiver to F4 flight controller?
Can't i connect it with F3 flight controller.
You only need a free UART on your f3 controller to connect this receiver

You might need to update opentx and reflash your r9 module
What range did you get out of the R9MX?
Didn't test more than 1km as I haven't installed a GPS yet
I don’t know what is the problem with mine but I get only 600m range in 1watt of power. Any suggestions?
My qx7 is accst, should i download access firmware or accst?
Even if you have a an accst radio, you need the same protocol between you're Rx and tx so access is the best for r9m 2019 and r9mx
Is this still flashable to ExpressLRS after firmware update?
Yes of course, I plan do try it
