This year, Evans Scholars Foundation will pay for 1,130 former high school caddies to go to college. One of them is Jayda Dookie, who made the most of an incredible opportunity to loop in the Evans Scholars program at Seminole Golf Club. The latest TGJ Film explores how the daughter of two immigrant parents, neither of whom had played golf before, wound up carrying at one of the world’s most prestigious clubs, what it takes to caddie at Seminole and what a free education means to Jayda and her family.

This is the type of content I want
You've given your daughter the gift of yourself, an excellent Father and Guide, to understand and navigate this complex world. Well done Sir. Cheers, KG
John Hand - Seminole - what a legacy, way to pay it forward!!!!
Go Jayda - you’re gonna rock Michigan!
The world needs more John Hand’s.
Caddied all through high school and college... This hit me in the feels.
Same
The American dream in action. Love to see it.
What an inspirational story. This is exactly what we need to hear more of and focus on in today's world
Incredible piece, guys.
What a lovely piece, I hope Jayda goes on to fulfil all her dreams.
Beautiful story. Love it! 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Nobody tells golf stories better than TGJ!
Amazing content
Love the new and existing works on deep dives into caddies you all have done, really well done.
Great piece and such an incredible program. Go Green!
Good things happening out in the world everyday. This is one of them.
What a fabulous initiative, good luck Jayda
Cool story. How about one about the caddie lifers next?
When’s episode 2 coming out
Its a nice film and a nice story, but it needs to be said: public colleges in the USA were basically free from 1945-85. An obviously bright student like Jayda didn’t have to worry about paying for school or decades spent paying off debt to attend. We could do that again if we chose to.
That’s news to me . I guess the school I went to didn’t get the memo.🤷🏼♂️
Beautiful story. Anyone recognize the gentleman she was caddying for? Eugene Smith from Big Break Prince Edward Island
