I wish we got a sequel to this its just hilarious it's like what Scary Movie did to take the piss out of slasher films but for these over the top talent shows.
My favourite line in this wonderfully hilarious show was "proceeds are going to be donated to strippers injured in the line of duty" That needs to be clipped. Legendary show!!

I love the delay on the main titles as they try to follow the big voice-over: "Same Old... (pause, skip some words) Show. The Phone-Lines are... (pause, skip some words) Rigged..." Classic! :-)
The incredible, appalling, amazing thing is: it's a total piss-take, a spoof, a parody, a mockery, and a joke... But it's no more stupid or tragic than the actual shows it's based on. Very cruel, very clever, beautifully observed. I hope nobody thinks it's... you know... 'proper'...
English comedy done well..i guess some just dont get it.maybe being british we have a sense of humour,,we laugh at funny things .surprising though what some people find funny..mostly there leaders.
Dont get me started on this topic..i have never watched any type of these so called shows in my life and never will.. they are boring boring and boring and to watch clips of audiences non stop clapping and shouting is ????
Oh my God and yes for a couple minutes I thought it was another Simon produced show, and yes I am an American. I do understand that the American Idol, Got Talent, & all the other Country counter-part shows made by Simon, and the rest are all rigged, but it was actually the talent of those on the show that I do love not so much the shows themselves, and I do hate the ones with the most real talent get bumped off the show because of whatever reason that they leave on the shows are not as talented. But I mean this really tipped the scale on over doing it with this parody show. I don't know who Peter Kay Cottontail is but I seriously doubt he's all that gifted as a comedian either.

This is one of the most creative satires I’ve ever watched. I fondly remember watching it with my family back in the simpler times. :)
