I started scrapping in a Toyota Camry, and the guys at the yards were always surprised how much stuff I could fit in there in the payouts were a lot bigger than people with trucks and trailers fast-forward a year now I am in a truck with an 18 foot trailer so really doing some damage!
Yeah i've been doing it so long it just comes pretty easy. I have it down so well that it takes me no time to do. What would take somebody forever? I have everything all figured out. I'm gonna I don't that's what slows me down.. But for the most part I pick things up. I put them down LO. L.
@Adventureswithmike1 Sorry to hear that. Atleast there's a sign you're using the truck like it's meant to be used. With that scrap metal, you will make all that money back from the first load after its fixed.
Yeah and I have am loaded Up for tomorrow. It just sucks that prices went down $20 a ton at my yard yesterday after I brought that stuff in.. I don't understand the musical chairs up and down of the scrap prices lately
@@Adventureswithmike1 my truck will pull trailer I pull cars on dolly sometimes I need two trailer to be the best one for smaller jobs and one for big jobs
Inconel defiantly worth saving there's no way i would have let them rob me for 100 bucks on that load i would have load it up and resold it for shearing rather than lose it!! i mean if you would have waited it would be loaded in with the short steal and sold as is
My first unload I weighed in 1,682 lb my second unload weighed in 2,336 lb and my third unload I weighed in 2,154 lb all of it was sheet iron and I made $168 is that accurate?
@@Adventureswithmike1 sorry my mistake I read the Tare weight my actual weight for #1 was 508 lb #2 620 lb and #3 was 438 lb all sheet iron and made $168 is this the correct amount or did I get robbed and should do business somewhere else?
Two nice loads... The trucks and trailers are the backbone of a scrapping business... Keep the in good shape.

They didn't rob me. They paid me the full price and then deducted 800 pounds at The shearing rate.
I see the worst looking vehicles and trailers hauling scrap at my local yards.
Me too and it's Terrifying
Because half of the people that scrap are crackheads
