Truly one of the leaders and innovators in death metal from insidious, reticulated, to Telesis and To this. Always uncompromisingly brutal. Always so unique and full of great new ideas in a sea of bands that play the same shit over and over. I have always loved the many directions the band has gone. Their are few bands at this level of brutality, creativity and individuality like Emeth. All their music throughout the years is so different, so profound in the uncharted waters they conquer. Truly one of the greatest metal bands ever. It is quite sad they don't have MUCH MUCH more recognition...
-Life Long fan. Keep it up guys!

Thank you for the the amazing music and dedication over the years from anyone involved with the band. You earned it. I wish I was in a position to expose great talent like yours to more people. I had a radio show in college a couple hours long, called the Aural Assault dedicated to stuff like that, and I'd email, bands and labels including sorreption just to get the go ahead in playing their new music and overwhelmingly labels and bands were supportive. I don't know how many people ever got to hear the show but I did a lot of digging because I doubt many of the bands would ever make US radio waves, just because of how things unfortunately work. I even opted to just lie about playing the bundles of music we had to play from major labels major labels and more established labels like metal blade because while there was good music I would have bought myself, everyone else was gonna end up playing the albums the "loud rock" director got sent for free. I just kinda did the same thing but for my show and just wrote in I played whatever like 4 songs from the list of songs from those albums we were supposed to play and chose bands I thought deserved attention. I got a lot of free music, sent to me talking to labels and bands so I could play on my seveal hour weekly Aural Assault show. We won MTV music award for best college radio station and as much as I would like to think that has to do with me taking my show more seriously than needed since it was on late and few people would ever here it I didn't care. I doubt the likes of you and so many other bands had anything to do with MTV giving the award to the station, but I Dubbed my show the Aural assault with me "Extreme Karim" the most extreme, brutal, technical and devastating show on public radio which while I didn't check, I'm pretty confident was the most extreme show in terms of music and talent broadcast in America on public airwaves. If there was something else more extreme, and underground etc.... than mine, I would have loved to know and streamed it online.
I wish I could do something like that on commercial radio or something to get attention I looked into starting an online radio station of the same nature but It is legally complicated and since was doing a non profit station I could get away with playing music not approved by bands labels though I liked to be in touch and let them know I wanted them to see the light of day the best I could do to help. Problem is with an online station 24/7 If I want lots of people to listen I need to make profit to gain notoriety and working out licensing is quite complex. I got my you tube account sanctioned for posting a defeated sanity bonus video non publicly for friends to share about how they approach music. I apologized and offered to remove the content and the label got me another sanction. I apologized to the band personally, and they apologized to me because they had nothing to do with it and were sorry the label did that and that they were fine with me putting that out there as a teaser to buy their album... I wasn't making add money off of it.
Anyway. I hope someday I'm in more of a position to power to promote very talented acts that get overlooked over a lot of generic or boring garbage that headlines extreme music tours and relatively makes the big bucks.
But it can Start at an individual level. Sorreption who now is quite popular started out with no notoriety when I pushed for their debut album and EP way back when. I shared with a lot of my friends that tour and the band Suicide Silence ended up loving it because I got my personal friend David Mcgraw and Luke Jaeger exposed to soreption and they were blown away. On tour with suicide silence and other bands with Metal blade he played their debut for other bands and they ate it up. Obviously their success as of late has first to do with their talent, and a lot of other factors but I do feel good that I was able to help other "higher" profile acts end up realizing they exist and are for real. Whatever I can do I feel good doing, not for money or glory or fame, but simply because I love sharing good music and I think talented acts that don't get enough attention because of the business, I share them as much with everyone as I can.

Someday somehow I hope I will have more power to help acts like you, reach the level of exposure your creativity and talent deserve. Until then every little thing I can do with have to suffice. Because I like good music and I would like other people to experience the joy and hapiness transcendent but often cult or low profile ultra high talent acts bring me. Because there is a lot of music, a lot of good music. But in the music industry no matter what genre people there isn't incentive to take risks or get behind things that stray away from what is most marketable even if in the end it will make much more money, and make for a better more diverse music scene. Like when I see bands like you or here is a horrible one.... when I was 16 Napalm death opening up on a tour for black dahlia murder and hate breed like 10 years ago and them getting 20 minutes it's just sad... Everyone but me and friends left to lobby, and when they were done I couldn't get out quick enough not to listen to black dahlia murder playing to a packed house. However good they are or what peoplle think. how is napalm death a 20 minute opening act for Black Dahlia Murder or hate breed ever? They aren't as innovative as Emeth, but it's Napalm Death!!! No one even showed up to see them on that tour apparently. Sad the way things are. Maybe the future of the internet and a different business money making model with music will afford true talent's the chance to rise from obscurity and have a shot against big money and an old and unfortunate industry model....
      I think it can.
