Thanks guys, if you get chance it's well worth a visit, as is Whitby up the road. I wish we could've spent more time there. Whitby is prettier (and pricier!) and takes all the glory but we really loved Scarborough and think it's got a charm of its own. Curry sauce, I'm never going back now! 😂😍
Hi guys love Stevens humour 😄 just bricks lol 😂. Oh tell papa's chippy to paint the greasy hand prints on the walls 🤣 love the video and Steve is a shadow of his former self, he looks great tell him 😊 All the best and safe travelling 💙💙
Thank you Chrissy, he really appreciates that ❤ He's still keeping the exercise up. Haha Papa's did look a bit worse for wear. To be honest we weren't even planning to go there, the one we wanted that people seem to rave about only opens at weekends (I can't remember what it's called now 🤦♂️) but it worked out well in the end!
Hello 👋 you have some great shots. 4:47 it really shows the area off well 😊 11:45 we enjoyed to history surrounding this area. We have been out of England for around 7 months and we miss fish and chips a lot. Yummy
Thank you for the lovely comment ❤️ We enjoyed learning about the history here, there's so much in the UK and it's nice to read about it as you travel around. Are you returning to the UK at any point? Yes, I can't imagine you can find fish and chips that's quite the same as ours anywhere else! Thank you for watching ❤️
We love Scarborough. We also parked along the same road but further along new the big statue on the bench. Never had fish and chips or dressed crab. Sure Steve would eat the crab though I wouldn't lol. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks guys, but wow at never trying fish and chips 😲 Is that because you're not a seafood person Anna or just not eat meat altogether? Crab is definitely not for everyone, but personally love it, though its very rare I'd eat it. Oh that statue is fantastic, we forgot to film that. A great park up though and we really did love Scarborough ❤️
I'm just been checking out you're van life adventures, I'd love to do this one day when I win the lottery .No but I just admire you both so much, good luck guys and keep it up,Because as they say you only live once.chow for now.
Thanks Simon, and really appreciate you checking out our past vids 👍 You're absolutely right and that's why we did it - we don't know what's around the corner, so we thought it better to try something now why we still can. If you ever get the chance, definitely give it a go! I can assure you we didn't win the lottery 😂 (we keep trying though!) but equally you're right it requires some investment to start with, however there are many levels, some people do it in motorhomes worth tens of thousands, others in a van on a shoestring budget, but it's mostly about how you financially sustain it. For us, we mix up work and travel and so far the balance works, although it's always a bit of a juggling act!
Happy Christmas Boys!! May your travels be fruitful & guarded by angels! May the upcoming year bring you all the blessings that the universe has to give!!! Hugs & tugs from Kenny Ohio USA!!!!!
I LOVE Scarborough - don't miss out Whitby whilst you're on that coast. Also if you get over to the West coast I have to say Morecombe is extremely welcoming to vanlifers and parking along the prom is free and fabulous!
We did Whitby a few days later, absolutely loved it there too, but VERY busy. Morecombe will have to be added to our list for next time we head up that way, thank you for the recommendation! ❤️
Anstruther, Scotland was touted as the "best" fish and chips in the UK for some years. BUT it's actually in Pitlochry, Scotland at Mackay's on the high street. They even have amazing gluten free batter for those of us who need it. AND Pitlochry is the quintessential quaint village. You can't miss!
I follow another ss married couple who spend lots of time in their van with their dogs. Campervan Tales, do you follow them? I watched some of your early videos and your production skills have improved heaps. Interesting and fun viewing. Oops my internet is buffering I am stuck on Steve prostrate on the path. Someone is having a laugh.
We do know Campervan Tales and do indeed follow them! Really enjoy the casual style of their vids and seems like they have a great time. Haven't seen all their videos mind, but then they've got over 500 😂 Need to catch up on the recent ones. And thank you, that's great that you think ours have improved, it means a lot 🙏 I've tried to learn more when it comes to editing, but still an ongoing process!
Curry sauce everytime 🤣 Although it depends on the type of curry sauce! Glad you enjoyed Scarborough and the free parking over the winter is brilliant. I go body boarding quite regularly in the sea where you were parked. I’ve also watched the tour de Yorkshire from there too. Also one of the Brontë sisters was buried near the cemetery you visited. She was actually from Haworth but she loved Scarborough too ❤
Curry sauce all the way for me now, bye bye mayonnaise 🤣 Oh I think we passed Anne Bronte's grave area near the castle, but we didn't go in as there was a group of people mourning together (in fact it was when we were talking about the English Heritage prices etc, we shut off the camera when we saw that). The park up was perfect! And even the prices in summer aren't bad for a day and night, although I imagine it's a nightmare to get a spot!
So, I must remember to not pay £9.50, if I’m going but, if I am going I need the audio. Fish and chips did look good. Very enjoyable, as always. Loved it. ❤️xx
Now you've watched the vid, you might not need to, so perhaps we've saved you a tenner there 😜 It was fine though, I enjoy these things more than Stephen, but I wouldn't rank that as one of the better castles we've seen. Great views though. Fish and chips was divine! Think we caught them on a good day judging by some of the recent reviews 😬 Thanks Jimmy as always 😍❤
Hi Guys - question: do you ever get 'knocked up', whereby some 'meany' comes along and takes yer money for parking/camping, but NOT in an actual camp site? I'm asking because I remember so well when my parents were knocked up when we moored up for the night on a BOAT in Windsor on a fabulous boating holiday. It was earlyish morning and presumably it meant dad had to make himself decent before appearing and paying - LOL.
Now that's an interesting one, I don't think it's ever happened unless we knew it was going to - e.g if we'd read beforehand that a parking attendant would come and collect money, not really something you get in the UK, but happened sometimes in Spain. So was the person collecting money on your boat genuine or someone chancing it? A bit frightening if it was unexpected!
There was so much choice up there, we need to go to Whitby again to try theirs! Fish and chips is definitely better up north though than down this way 😁
You didnt say how much the worlds best fish and chips cost, you paid 10 quid somewhere else on another video and they were crap so this must have cost a lot?
Oh no I can't believe we forgot to put that in! 🤦♂️But the galaxy's greatest fish and chips - of which about 279 seem to claim the same in the UK - was about 20 quid total (so a tenner each). So pretty standard for fish and chips I'd say, well these days.
😂 grumpy Steve open and honest ❤👍🏻
Always 😂
Nice to see you supporting genuinely local traders!
Thank you, we do try when we're out and about, as and when we can
Hi guys 👋
Great vlog never been to Scarborough but it looked nice. Fish & chips looked yummy 😋 and we have curry sauce with our chips. Safe travels 👋😘

You two, are the most beautiful people, Thank you for sharing your lives adventures, Amazing to watch! I have the dream to live full time in a van.
Ah thank you so much! What a lovely comment, that's really kind of you 😊 ❤
Every town on the sea that had trawlers or fishing boats had a wonderful chippie down south with cod the favourite and up north the haddock.
Yes we noticed haddock was much more common up north, sometimes no cod at all!
Happy Christmas Boys!! May your travels be fruitful & guarded by angels! May the upcoming year bring you all the blessings that the universe has to give!!! Hugs & tugs from Kenny Ohio USA!!!!!
Hi Kenny from Ohio! 😁 Merry Christmas and thank you for such a jolly message ❤ Best wishes to you too 😍 Hugs & Tugs back 😁

Interesting, thanks for the info! We'll definitely be back up to Scotland at some point and never been to Pitlochry, so that's going on the list ❤️👍
I did the Scarborough 10k pre Covid, was a great event and love the place 😃

Great filming again. Never been to Scarborough but now on the list. 🤗🚌
Thank you ladies! 😊 At this time of year the seafront is free and great for motorhomes so well worth a visit, but even then it can fill up quickly.
I live in Scarborough many years I recommend you try Small Fry on North Street the chips are not over cooked I always go there.
Thanks for the suggestion, we will definitely be back there and that one was on the list to try! 😍

As long as I can have the chips and drink afterwards, you're on 😄
