I guessed 3 right haha
hi
I guessed them all right!
I only got the first one right...
Can you do a vid based on undertale music?
I would listen to an entire Marimba cover of the Stardew soundtrack. That was beautiful.
Yes
Something I never truly knew I needed until now.
@@BuzzyBri cope
@@BuzzyBri I have over a hundred hours in Stardew valley and at no point have I been bored while playing. Of course, you can have your opinion too, but just know that there are over 20 million people who disagree.
The marimba one made me cry so hard
"I'm sure I can get most of these"
"Easy, Pac Man"
*proceeds to play music only from games I've never played*
Exactly the same for me lol
Same!
YOUVE NEVER PLAYED BLACK OPS???!!! Don’t talk to me.
@@caboose8110 unironically liking an FPS, especially CoD? The sentiment is shared (lol)
I only got that one and TF2. The Super Mario RPG one sounded familiar enough but I couldn't place it. The rest? Nope.
The COD zombies one just hit differently.
You got that right and it's really good 👍
I love playing Team Fortress 2 and I really appreciate that you used the snare drum, bass drum and hi-hat. It sounded like i was hearing the soundtrack in-game.
I love TF2, I play it on my friend's PC because I don't have a PC🙁.
I play Mario, Sonic, Legend of Zelda, Fall Guys...etc in my house, but I really want a PC for playing Team Fortress 2(and Minecraft Java).
@@superd2234 I like playing mario and sonic games too man
Medic is very good character. And his music.Medics like walking dispenser. But you can say Medic, not POOTIS
@@Cloaker1212 POOTIS berd.
@@ImaDaHeavy Not this pootis, the noise one PUT DISPENSER HERE
God I I'd adore to see more tf2 music explored sometime in the future
so true

I second that opinion... Fact? Who knows?
Fully agreed

I love how you finished the video with Stardew Valley! Overture is definitely one of my favorite songs in the game. ^^
❤️😀
I love stardew valley and was so happy to hear it!
@@milkyway3366 Same here
Eric Barone came up with some amazing music for that game
I'd like to hear Elliott's theme on either the piano or the kalimba! That'd be pretty cool!
That drum roll was just so instantly recognizable, its insane to me. I LOVED the meet the medic video, ive watched it so many times.
0:46 y were you duel malleting in your right hand?😂😂😂😂😂
Joe is one of the five UA-camrs who I can’t wait for an upload. Everyday I refresh his channel to see if he uploads again. He is so talented. He has one of the most humble and calming channels out there. After I watch every upload, I feel refreshed. He has no sponsors, no paid subscriptions, no nothing of the sort. He’s just a dude with his instruments playing famous music for a living. I love Joe so much.
Thanks for your support Olivia! All the best!
Who are the other four?
No need to reload channel if you subscribe to him with the bell
@@JoePorterPercussion OMG! You’re welcome, Joe! You made my day for responding to me! I love you so much!
SO TALENTED? SOOOO TALENTED?
*HE IS THE LITERAL GOD OF INSTRUMENTS*
Well, that Stardew gave me chills, didn't expect just hearing it like that on Marimba would do that but here we are
I had a blast learning that the last few days!
@@JoePorterPercussion I would LOOOOVVVEEEE to have a full sized marimba (with exception to moving with it). Right now I have one of those regular sized 3 octave that I rented to own many a year ago. Some day I'll have the full marimba
The TF2 was unexpected. Thanks so many memories
that's how I lost my medical licence!
Aww dont be such baby Ribs grow back
@@ReversedPandaGaming *no they don't.*
@@DoughboyNinetyOne ok
Banjo Kazooie made me happy inside, but the Stardew theme legit made me tear up. Such great mastery of such an array of instruments!
Good luck on the new update and I will be able
I would love to hear a full version of Call of Duty black ops zombies. It brings back so many memories
Give A7Xs “Not ready to die” a go if you haven’t already. One of my favorite metal songs of all time. 🤘🏼
Same here that beat is fire for zombies
I listen to Abracadavre still to this day. Elena siegman is just golden on that song.
Lots of memories
I got a ps4 disc 😁
You totally should do more Banjo-Kazooie music! How about Grunty's Lair on the marimba?
Thanks for the suggestion!
@@JoePorterPercussion If you do Spiller's Harbor from Banjo Kazooie Grunty's Revenge, damn I would love it lol. still my favourite song of the entire series
that shall be the only thing i will ever suggest
@@JoePorterPercussion rusty bucket bay or clankers cavern!
Final boss theme!
Full version of gobis valley on marimba

I would listen to that Black ops zombies music for hours. So cool.
As a cod zombies player I must say that the theme you played is spot on. Good stuff man
What’s the sound track called

@@vampirelord15 yes youre right, it is

Most of them were of games I've never played, but I sure did know the 4th one! This one alone makes me want to request a new type of video, if possible: Could you maybe do some videos dedicated to certain games someday? I would LOVE to hear your awesome renditions of the core soundtrack of classic games like Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie or Donkey Kong 64!
I recently did an all minecraft and all super Mario. Will continue to do specific games. Thanks for the suggestions!
@@JoePorterPercussion I’d love to hear you specifically do one of the Sonic titles!
@@JoePorterPercussion how bout an all stardew one or my personal favorite and all splatoon video.

1:29 big smile on my face :)
The moment I recognized the stardew theme I had the biggest smile on my face
Same but with Super Mario RPG
It's the best. Also, so did i
That's what I was like for MEDIC!
I have trouble with stardew. I come back to it occasionally and its just not a game thwt grasps me ya know? My fiancee loves it and i want to give it a solid like 10hr binge try but ehhhh
Stardew valley is the best
@@prestonbelgarde6896
I really want to hear more Team Fortress music from you in the future! I feel like it has such an underappreciated soundtrack.
Yes I really did not expect him to play that
Best soundtrack in the world!!!
the fact that as soon as he started playing on the snare I recognized 'MEDIC!' instantly
I guessed them all, my older brothers getting into older Nintendo games helped me instantly recognize the Banjo-Kanzooie and Super Mario RPG songs. Honestly didn’t recognize the TF2 song until the Vocal Chord at the end.
Hearing Super Mario RPG brings back SO many memories as a kid, it's such an underrated classic
It's my favorite video game ever made. A close second is Chrono Trigger
Bro I used to love that game so much but I thought that spitting on cartridges would clean them so idk why I was so surprised and sad when it stopped working
Ironic now since it's remake came out a few days ago
Holy crap, mallet station? That- sounds so COOL
It’s definitely cool but it also kinda seems like a 5000 dollar midi keyboard, considering it’s just plugged into kontakt
@@jship66 we use them for marching band, alot easier than bringing timpani and other instrumentsone the field
@@sock3262 true, didn’t think about that application of it,
although i’m curious abt how you power it and the computer it needs while you march
Made me smile so damn big from the Super Mario RPG throwback; though, were there that many trills in the original? Now I gotta go listen to that 7 hour looped version lol
I only got the first two, and that Super Mario RPG cover brought back a lot of good, nostalgic memories. Thank you for helping me relive my childhood, even if for just a bit. 🙏
The Medic! theme was priceless
I cant comprehend how you can do that stuff. I’d forget what to do or how to hold the things immediately. Keep up the good work :)
One step at a time! Over the years it makes more and more sense :)
Practice is the key
@@JoePorterPercussion especially when muscle memory kicks in.
Practice, practice, and more practice! While in many cases talent definitely plays a role in it, you don't need talent as long as you have a willingness and focus to put in the time or effort
Please do more TF2! its such a fun game and it has an under appreciated soundtrack!
0:32 this part made me think it was roblox for a second in some way cuz for me it sounded like the great strategy
You are so talented at percussion, I just started drums and aspire to be like you, keep it up!
Awesome on the percussion! The key is to have fun and never stop learning.
@@JoePorterPercussion thank you!
The Stardew Valley one made me smile, such a good game 🥰
I physically smiled at Beware the Forest’s Mushrooms and the Stardew Valley Overture. Both belonging to some of my favorite video games.
"Snare drum, base drum and hi hat"
That's a lot of information 😂
*Snare drum ;)
@@CStedronsky ohhh thanks
*bass drum. It's not hard, if it was spelled base the s would be voiced
Please make more guessing ones like this
Roger that
I like how the steel pan actually sounded like the main midi instrument in treasure trove cove
I would genuinely love to see more of these if you can!
Props for covering Stardew! That game has some seriously fantastic music
And to think the game and music were created by one man...
@@bluewolf3825 Honestly blows my mind to this day
Overwatch
I see you added a new instrument into the mix(mallet station)! I can't wait to see what it brings.
Wow. I love how this video showcased Joe’s obvious musical talent, revealed the sounds produced by unique instruments, engaged audience participation in the form of musical trivia, & paid a respectful nod to classic video game soundtracks all in the short timespan of 2 mins w/o ads, an intro, or an outro. Fantastic content!
Banjo Kazooie has one of the most iconic music scores in all of game history.
The fact he did a super Mario rpg song, made me seriously love this.
I was so happy when you started playing the Overture from Stardew. I would love to hear more of the ost from you using all these instruments. They definitely fit the vibe very well
I am politely requesting a full cover of the Stardew Valley songs, that was game is already so peaceful but you took it to a whole other level 😌
The Cod zombies theme was pure bliss. Had that "is that really" moment, then the 2nd half and I got hyped
Just that little bit of Stardew Valley Overture gave me chills! I would love a full cover.
Fortnite
Can we get a full version of cod zombie damned with that instrument 00:52 that was killer
0:01 PAC MAN
Honestly probably the most consistent great content UA-cam uploadeder on the whole platform!!! Congrats guy
Holy crap, hearing some Super Mario RPG love fills me with incredible joy. Yoko Shimomura does damn good work, and you totally rocked it. I’d love to hear more!
I got 1, 3, and 6 right. I love the Stardew Valley one. Would be awesome if you did a Stardew Valley video later down the road! Mines (Cloth) Winter (Nocturne of Ice), Summer (Tropicala), Music Box Song and Journey of the Prairie King (The Outlaw) are probably my favorite themes from the game.
we actually watched this in music class a little bit ago and as soon as I heard stardew I was screaming I was so exited
I just LOVE the mallet station for some reason! 😁
I loved 6 so much! I can't believe you included a song from Stardew. It's one of my favorite games ever!
Not only will we need a full cover on Zombies theme, but more songs on mallet station. That piece is bawesome
please upload this type of videos more often it was great
Oh man. I fell in LOVE with the second song as a kid, so I am SUPER excited that it came up; thank you VERY much.
You always play everything so clean. These videos must require many takes!! Really good
0:07 I loved the Super Mario RPG one, when I didn't knew the name of that song I thought that It was a One Piece theme XD
Why
@@EnheTook50Benadryl I don't know either hahaha 😅
Now that I think about It, It could be a theme from a Rayman game too, in my opinion
Easily his best selection of tracks yet. Most of these videos are very basic with the songs, this one having TF2 music and a Banjo-Kazooie song that you have to dig pretty deep into the game to hear was a nice change up. The BK song was the first time I’ve failed to guess one of these songs that is from a game I’ve actually played before keep up the nice and varied selection, it make the videos much more enjoyable to hear some more obscure pieces.
I am such an avid Team Fortress 2 fan!! I'm ashamed I didnt recognize "MEDIC!" until the mallet station. I knew I recognized those drums!!
the medic is my favorite character in the game. Thanks for bringing me happiness today
I would love to hear the TF2 main theme on one of your cool instruments!
6 is definitely Stardew Valley! That game is amazing really fun and amazing Music too. I would love to hear you play more Stardew Valley songs they're all so peaceful and nice and relaxing to listen to.
I wish I had the power of this man to stand in front of an instrument, say what it is and automatically know how to play it!
1:16 you’ve no idea how happy I was when I heard that out of nowhere
I would love to see more of this but with different categories!
Roger that
God Id love to hear you further cover more of tf2 music, I know several songs are brass heavy which you dont do much of but I think itd still kill
0:33 - POV YOU AND THE BOIS HOP ON BO1:
you should really do full covers, a lot of people would enjoy those
Elena Siegman doing vocals for Abracadavre (cod black ops zombies song) is one of the most beautifully terrifying songs for gaming ever. I remember unlocking that song for the first time and just falling in love with the piece.
IT'S KILLING ME TO SEE THAT IM KILLING YOU
Finally a Stardew Valley cover!!!! I'm so happy!
If you ever want to do another, look up the track Star Lumpy from that game. It heavily features chromatic percussion, and I think you could have a blast with it.
this was great, and i now request longer covers of stardew valley music as it fits so well onto the marimba! if you could make something like that happen it would definitely make its way onto my playlist as several of your longer pieces have already. great work as usual
Dude I need more mallet station. That was awesome.
Man, I think I might have actually enjoyed being a percussion major if I had a teacher like you. All I ever did was play horrible marimba pieces, nothing this fun 😩
That Beware the Forest's Mushrooms sent a chill down my spine, I'd love to hear a full version
Edit: And the Stardew Valley menu theme!
Can you please do more game guessing ones, it’s really fun trying to think of what song it is from what game!
1:16 as soon as a heard the snare, i immediately knew what it was. my favorite video game music from my favorite video game, tf2. anyways, you nailed them all!
I love your videos! They’re so fun to watch and listen too!
Thanks! Hope you have a great day!
@@JoePorterPercussion you too!

I just wanna say that I extremely appreciate you featuring the PAC-MAN theme! 👍
I like Xylophone, Marimba, Glockenspeil, Vibraphone, Desk Bells, Steel Pan and Kalimba
Just had a huge wave of nostalgia hearing that Super Mario RPG music
The mallet station rendition of the BO: Zombie's theme made me imagine 1980's-esq vaporwave vibe mixed with the brutal horror of the zombies
The steel drum took me back. Not a fan of those games now but that game was in the top 2 at the time....
That Stardew Valley music put a huge smile on my face
oh my god, that last one just UNLOADED nostalgia upon my face XD
I love how the steel pan says

Defientely was not expecting forest maze from Mario RPG. Touched my soul
Everone: listens to the music
Me: waiting for minecraft
I loved this so much, I wanna see you do full covers of all of these songs!! Funny enough this reminds me of the Daniel Thrasher video where he is never able to finish a song and is only able to complete a portion of a song when requested.
The CoD zombies brings back so many memories of trying to get as far as I could on Kino
Was not expecting a TFTune in this lmao! It brings a tear to me eye
This is like a tactical training shooting range (idk the proper name) but much more wholesome
Banjo and kazooie is one of my favourite games you played treasure cove perfectly keep it up!

Oh yea, pacman!, Mario RPG!!!
Uhhh. The flip are these games?!?!
I didn't expect you to play the meet the medic song. thx
Tf2 one just filled my heart with joy the moment I recognised the snare pattern.....
