    Hello fellow 156 owners, it's a pleasure to see your beloved cars being taken care of. Share links to all your vids when doing stuff to your cars, even simple stuff.

    Just got my self a beautifull 156 after owning a fiat coupe 2.0 for a couple of years. It has a few electronic problems, for example the headlights dont work properly, and basically everything you showed in the video. So thanks for making this kind of video!

      hairgelvic electric problems are unfortunately very common on these cars.

    Such a nightmare to change those lights 😂 But it's worth it, I just replaced my bulps and installed a new radio. I got the same as yours an Alfa Romeo 156 2.0 TS sport with carbon trim, lowered and skirt(Mine is just black and a sedan). Always glad to see an alive alfa 156👍

      Yeah, these cars were not really designed with maintanability in mind, but still, they are not as bad as most would think.

      For sure repairing isn't made the most easy way!
      I made some rust work on my alfa for the first time in 19 years. So i would't say they rust that much as people say (I live in denmark where it rains or snows most of the time)
      I have a question, i saw in another video that you talked about that you changed the badge in front and back. Are the badge replacement hard to replace? Because my badges is completely faded 😂

      Swiffy people say it depend a lot on the region the car comes from. I always hear that all cars from Austria rust a lot. Mine is more or less fine.

      @@Gabriell0684 Is the badge hard to replace in front and back?

      Swiffy the front one I used to drill trough, and once I got a hole in it, I've just pryed it off. The badge itself in the front consists of 2 parts, the thin badge itself and a more thick part that is held in place by two pins, you need to break them when taking off. The rear one can be tricky. Either you try to pry off the thin aluminium badge from the plastic turning part, but then you risk breaking it, or you have to take down the door panel to get to the door lock from behind. Then you get access to the small ring that hold the turning thingy in its place, take off the ring and get out the badge. In my case the rear badge was already broken, so it was easier for me :)

    Thanks for the video you helped me a lot. It can help. So I took out everything to see if I needed to change the light bulbs. I also need to change the lights on the ventilation so I'm wondering how to get it out

    Make sure to change the heater control bulbs as well, while you have everything off. They are located inside the white box and of a different kind that the others. Not the funniest thing to unscrew and as you said. The plastic is brittle.

      I had no issues with those lights so far so I did not bother disassembling those but it really did not look too much fun to take apart.

    I was planning to change all my dashboard bulbs for LED variants.
    Many thanx for the tutorial.

      Raysboss302 Glad that I could help :) Hear some bad feedbacks regarding the LED swaps. I am not good at electronics but it has something to do with the overal electrical setup of the car. People say LEDs die more often as they should. I wanted the original looks anyway, so I just went for the standard bulbs.

      Thanks for your reply and warning.
      Ik only go for the exact same specs, I just want a somewhat brighter light.
      My Alfa is original too except for some OZ racing wheels.

      @Gabriell0684  5 років тому

      Raysboss302 I like my stock 16" Teledials, but OZs must look cool.

      Alfa 156 2.5 V6, cognac leather interior and that dark metallic racing green. Amazoniola green or something.
      With white 17’ OZ racing rims.
      Before summer starts I make a nice UA-cam video.

      Try searching for t5 W2x4,6d bulb. They are really small, you can have them as LEDs as well, but those don't work too well from I have heard.

    How did you manage to get the orange lightbulb out? You said you needed to twist it? And than pull?

    • @Gabriell0684
      @Gabriell0684  5 років тому

      hairgelvic yep, twist and then pull, but just a little. I have a set of pliers, I guess officially they are called needle nose pliers, I used them to pull the orange thingy out.

    N286 bulb is also a T5 bulb correct?

    • @Gabriell0684
      @Gabriell0684  Рік тому

      Yes, I believe the standard is T5. The marking on the packaging I had was W2x4,6d but it seems to be the same thing.

      One of my heater lights was out for seven years or more. I couldn’t be bothered to take the whole thing out so I’d occasionally flick it or even bang it but pretty much gave up on it ever returning to life. One night recently it decided to light up again. After 7 years or more!! Love my Alfa even more now. Third belt now and over 19 years of fun use with my 156SW 2.0 Selespeed.
