Hi folks - thanks for the kind words. It’s been an absolute blast presenting the show for the past 17 years. It will continue in good hands but this was the right time to move on. I’m looking forward to future projects coming up 😊
All the best for your next step. You've been an absolute blessing to many through your work on unbelievable. I'm sure the quality of guests and quality of conversation that have come on the podcast has been down to your ability to moderate those conversations.
I’m really, really sad that you’re leaving the show. Your voice has been a constant in my own spiritual journey, mainly as i work away in the workshop at the bottom of my gatden. I did wonder what the significance of a 17 year anniversary show was and now i know 🙁. Aside from my selfish reaction, i’d just like to say what an outstanding broadcaster i think you are and i wish you all the very best for the future 👍🏻
Thanks for the wonderful job you've done here! You will be missed, and may our Heavenly Father guide you and bless you with whatever you do next, in Jesus's name. Probably like many people here I came to your channel as a seeker and skeptic, and have left as a brother in our Lord Jesus Christ! Will look forward to seeing what you get up to next! With love in Christ Jesus, James
As a listener, I will miss you so much, Justin! You’ve done such an excellent job for the last 17 1/2 years. Thank you for all the great shows and all the best with your new projects.
Justin, what a shock to my system, I love the show so much, talking to others about it and how I have learnt so much of listening to others with 'gentleness and respect'. Thank you so much for the impact you made on the church community and the wider world. All the best for you and your family for the future. Keep us informed about your new book.
Justin Brierly has been a peacemaker in a time of Twitter and culture wars. He's an example to follow. Thank you loads for what you've done. You will be missed.
He's had people on who are pretty much in agreement with him. The vast majority of Christians in the UK haven't had a look in. What would be interesting would be an Evangelical non-conformist critic against Justin Welby, or Stephen Cottrell on the subject of living in love & faith.
Unbelievable? with Justin as moderator, has been an incredible nourishment to my faith and work in the church. Sadly, through leadership squabbles, I suddenly found myself on the outside, but able to continue with my Faith through the many debates, videos and access to materials that furthered my curiosity and desire to seek out the truth of what we believe, in the face of adversity and cultural change. Congratulations on your career change knowing you have left an archive of content for the generations, well done.
Justin will be missed, he has shown the world what it looks like to be a Christian in the way he brings people together to pursue Truth with civil dialog on difficult and important questions. I also appreciate the show introducing me to bright thinkers such as John Lennox, Tom Holland, Francis Collins, William Lane Craig, Bishop Barron and many others. I am looking forward to the next chapter and hearing more from Vince!
Massive respect for this show & the spirit of respectful debate amongst those of all faiths & beliefs. As a charismatic & conservative church raised Jesus lover aged 47 the voice & leadership from Justin in these shows have been a huge encouragement & blessing as one still very active in church life but who loves & feels inspired by writers as varied as Bell, Rohr, McClaren, Chalke, Campolo alongside Ortberg, Yancey, Wright, Keller & many other diverse writers & thinkers around life & faith. A huge THANK YOU!!!!
Justin you will be missed big time as your voice over the years has become known as unbelievable. Looking forward to Vince taken over the rains and also wishing him best wishes Blessing from Dublin Ireland
Its good to see and hear Vince again after a few years of not hearing him. I love to hear so much Justin and you will be missed. But will you have your own channel? God bless your ministry.
Where can I listen to the interview questioning in muhammad was a real person. I wanna go down that rabbit hole. Good luck Justin, your content has been favored.
There is lots of material from the researchers like Mel on Islamic Origins. Robert Spencer was the first to question (I believe he is not allowed in the UK as a result as he is considered a hate preacher). Jay Smith on Pfander Films and Al Fadi on CIRA International presrnt the work more accessibly on YT. It is pretty obvious that: - the Quran is a plagiarised mix of half remembered Christian, gnostic and pagan stories that were kicking around at the time - Mecca was an insignificant settlement in 7th century (Mohammad's time) with no water, and not on the trade route. No artefacts have been found in Mecca that indicate there was once a settlement. The descriptions in Quran don't describe Mecca - there is no reference to Mohammad outside the Islamic literature, which was written at least 100years later by people who were much further north. Mohammad isn't even a real name...it means "the blessed one" and Christians in Arabia referred to Jesus as such. Jesus occurs many more times in Quran than Mohammad even - there are no coins or rock inscriptions to Mohamad from the 600s when he was supposed to have been a great leader. Weird These things and the errors and inconsistencies in the Quran, which is allegedly the unchanged word of Allah, but so obviously isn't, are evidence that it is made up. Also, Mohammad is supposed to be the best example for man to follow but slept with a 9 year old, and had sex slaves is worrying. Most Muslims are ignorant of the truth of Islam. They are mostly good, kind genuine, indoctrinated people. Islam survives on lies and deceit and threats to people who expose it and to apostates. The real face of Islam can be seen in Afghanistan.
I got drawn into learning about Islam 2 years ago. Deep in the rabbit hole now! I also recommend channels like Reasoned Answers for live discussions with Muslims. And SOCO Films for Speaker's Corner debates. God Logic is good and Christian Prince very knowledgeable. Also Bob of Speaker's Corner and Chris at Speakers Corner
Best wishes, Justin! I hope your replacement, apologist Vince Vitale, will still invite Bart back to the show and provide him with historically-trained interlocutors, like Dale Martin, or Mark Goodacre or Dale Allison. Also, I would like to see how Vince's "non-identity theodicy" is treated by Bart.
It just boggles my mind. When I hear intelligent Christians say Christianity is the best explanation for life when it explains nothing it just makes claims. So your solving a mystery was a bigger mystery. As much special pleading in faith as you want to put into it if you’re honest you could at least meant yes that’s what I’m doing and I’m OK with it but at least admit it. I just don’t get how that completely satisfy someone unless they’re just so in golfed with just feeling good and that’s all that matters.
Would Justin like Ravi Zacharias on his last show and what would be the first question he would put to him. Could Justin say God Bless Ravi for being being a brilliant God fearing Christian appologist,?
@@davethebrahman9870 You've missed the point: what you call "normal" people are not, in general in favour of oppression: amidst the general slavering over how saccharine this channel is, it's worth pointing out that some pretty rabid rhetoric is smuggled in.

Thank you Justin!

I love u Justin 🥺🙌✝️
Justin is a National Treasure as far as I'm concerned
I love Vince's voice and cadence.... He is worthy of the baton
i predict in 30 years Justin will be the John Lennox of the generation of my children. i thank God he gave us you, Justin!
Yeah, like John Lennox ignores the foundation of the gospel in Genesis.
