The fact that a Winnie the Pooh horror movie came out and it made money convinces me that being a director is one of the easiest jobs one can have
How did that movie make money. Absolute rubbish
@@wexfordrobIT was shit,but cost nothing ,about 300k,made over a mill I believe
Meg 2 ,to long and no blood after a 100 people or more are devoured by sharks,Octopus and other creatures.BS!
@@user-sd2xj3dk3e that’s crazy. How did they even come up with that money. There’s hundreds of shit horror films made every year. Why did this shit one make money?! It’s just as bad as the rest!😂
@@wexfordrob This movie budget are under 100 K. They dont have budget for marketing, because "Winnie The Pooh" name who become free IP marketing himself.
And worldwide gross are whopping 5,2 M.
And...they getting ready to make the sequel. And we are not.😅
"Antman and the wasp, Quantum Shittia". 😅
Thank you so much for calling out Avatar 2!
What you talking about? Many people have already done that. It’s getting old to be honest.
@@creedecriswell634 You mean haters looking for dummies that love watching rants cause people want arguments from others for why they didn't like the movie? The fkn movie was a GREAT 3-4D cinematic experience, ain't no Godfather 2, but it didn't need to be.
@@4Everlast I agree
@@4Everlast That's the issue. Looks good with little effort put into everything else. It's James Cameron.. no excuse for a lazy story.
@@sproductionsinc How is the story lazy tho, 80% of the people said there's even too much going on. There's no movie ever, that satisfied everyone who watched it. Never was never will be.
Meg 2 was a co-production with a Chinese studio and there were parts where the dialog was so bad that I honestly wonder if it was originally written in Chinese and simply translated with Google translate.
My List
Kevin Sorbos Left Behind, The Asylums Little Mermaid, Barbie, The Flash, Lady Ballers, Cade: The tortured Crossing and Cool Cat vs Dirty Dog Virus Wars
Avatar is one that I didn't realize I flat out hated until a year later.
Spot on assessment of Avatar 2, Adam. Boredom, thy name is Avatar 2. I was honestly surprised that you didn’t like Leave The World Behind. They should have picked someone other than Julia Roberts for that role, as it was an odd fit.
The only Netflix movie that I can think of that was really good was "Kingdom: Ashin of the North." The film is a prequel to the hit series "Kingdom," which I argue is the show that "The Walking Dead" and "Game of Thrones" should have been after their four good seasons. It explores themes of power, greed, betrayal, and trauma, with an intelligent underlying message about how the path of revenge is a truly destructive one.
I am glad I am not the only one who despite Avatar 2. Yes, the visual was nice but it was 400 millions product. Like most Hollywood movies these days, all the money seems to spend on spectacle and not a script. Btw, the protagonist may be a hero but he was terrible parent, his children were doing what ever hell they wanted
I never saw the original Avatar, and I felt so weird about Avatar 2 because I was totally blown away by the visuals, but then totally bored with and disappointed in the story. I both love and hate it. Wouldn't want to watch it again, but I still feel like I'd recommend it just so people can experience the visuals (or if they've already seen the first one, maybe that's not really necessary).
That's exactly how I feel! It was visually the best movie I've EVER seen in theaters ( I saw it in IMAX 3D ), but I barely remember the plot, and I may never watch it again.
Why would you not watch the first movie first. Totally don't get that.
@@jegjrtp87 With Avatar, I would need to go back and watch it in 3D in a theatre, and that would've been difficult to do. But I also had no desire after hearing about its great visuals and terrible story. So I knew what to expect going into Avatar 2, and still think the visuals are great. But nothing else is great about it.
I hated Avatar 2 as well Adam, long boring and stupid, f**k that film. The Meg 2 felt like 3 movies put together that shouldn't have been. Leave The World Behind tried to tell something and yet explored jack shit!!!
"Quantumshittier!" haha hilarious
Hmm, so many movies release every week, but when I look at the myriad of streaming services, including paid, I see obscure low budget movies, black this, black that, and the ever present Dick Van Dyke Show, Alfred Hitchcock, Godzilla junk, etc. I must be doing something wrong. 🤔
This is pure gold. Happy New Year!
You rock Adam. Hope to see you get some nice channel growth this year.
I really think Avatar trailers must hypnotize people or something. I have no idea how so many people went to see this when it is terrible. The first one was derivitive and bad too, but at least you could maybe say the effects were so ahead of its time and amazing people did not care? But how that translates to watching a sequel a decade late is beyond me.
I got a Beekeeper ad during the video 😆
Does Hollywood just refuse to write good scripts or are they giving us viewers the vapid eye candy we ask for?
Hilarious and spot on commentary. Love it.
1. Children of the Corn
2. Knights of the Zodiac
3. My Sister's Serial Killer Boyfriend
4. Fear
5. Expendables 4
6. Twisted Neighbor
7. Cocaine Shark
8. Fear the Night
9. Spy Kids: Armageddon
Eh for a Netflix movie, Rebel Moon wasn’t that bad. Sure the plot made little sense, sure the visuals were whatever, sure there was no character development, but it gets a bit of a pass bc at least it’s not a $500billion bloated nightmare ending with a blue laser shooting into the sky, and you don’t have to pay $500 per ticket & sit in a greasy theater to see it. At least it’s kind of different 🤷🏻♂️
2023 was really a buttom year for movies. There where far more bad movies then decent, less good movies. Top 5 are these followed by unranked...
1. Indiana Jones and the Diarrhea of Destiny
2. Barbie (Really don't care for the money it brought. It is a pile of crap filled with feminazi hate against men and traditional marrige)
3. The Marvels
4. Little Mermaid
5. Peter Pan & Wendy
5. Wish
- Fast X (Or Burning Buritos on Wheels)
- The Flash
- Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
- Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
- Chang Can Dunk
- Elemental
- Haunted Mansion
- Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
- White Men can't jump remake
- Blue Beetle
- Shazam! Fury of the Gods
- The Expendables 4 (truly a shamefull movie that went against what its idea was all about)
- The Exorcist: Believer
- Leave the World Behind
- Spy Kids: Armageddon
- You People
- Coming To America 2
And with 2024 having the upcoming movie "Civil War" smelling badly miles away...I'm not that optimistic about 2024 big movies, but I'm glad if I'm wrong.
Love your videos as a huge film fan Adam. Always making me laugh
Got part way through avatar 2 and gave up. boring!
I hated avatar 2 😂 i was squirming in my seat at how long and boring and annoying it was.and the kids omfg the kids. Cant get back 3 hours of my life
TOP 10 WORST MOVIES OF 2023:
1. Shotgun Wedding
2. Vacation Friends 2
3. After Everything
4. Knights Of The Zodiac
5. The Exorcist: Believer
6. Five Nights At Freddy's
7. Mafia Mamma
8. Book Club: The Next Chapter
9. Pain Hustlers
10. Hypnotic
I don't doubt almost all of those are worse than my list. Thankfully, I try to avoid things I know will be absolute garbage. Who thought Book Club: The Next Chapter was going to be a win? WHO WENT TO THAT MOVIE?!?!?!
@@AdamDoesMoviesyour list is trash.
@@davidortiz2026Yeah, that’s the point
1. The Marvels
2. Indy 5
3. Ant Man 3
4. Wish
5. Elemental
6. Peter Pan & Wendy
Can't think of others
I think they honestly shot Blood and honey in one week! Like for real, I believe the producers actually confirmed it
Tx Adam! Great video 👍👍
I didn't think The Meg 2 was trash like a lot of the critics were saying. It is a bad film, but I got some thrills out of it. I kind of liked the espionage part of the story. The Meg 2 could have given us a little blood and gore and still retained it's PG-13 rating.
Didn't like avatar 2 but i remember sully left so they don't die in collateral when the humans come for him. Not saying it makes sense or not.
It made no sense though. The humans didn't know he left and that certainly wouldn't deter them from wiping out the tribe. They wanted them all dead.
@@AdamDoesMovies you're right. Apparently the villain forgave them for killing his men. Writers could've made that work about why would he forgive them. Give him more depth.
Maybe because he can connect to them being in a navi body himself, maybe because he has a son now and doesn't wanna kill kids or make them orphans. I don't fucking know. Something.
You have THE best take on Leave the world behind
I avoided them, and still hate them.
You shit on Avatar (I don't care which, they're both garbage imo), so you earned that subscribe.
Avatar 2 was good.
love your reviews and your fun and cynical spin on everything. subscribed
“It’s a bold strategy Cotton” I like what you did there sir 😎
…”‘has to fight Kang or Kong or captain crunch…” 😂😂
I thoroughly enjoyed this video
Good triad! I like your honest commentary!
Actually I love the shot of Vader saying nooooo!
It’s very affective to me.
You’re fired.
@@jtmplmbr4465 I know…I know
🙂
Leave the world behind was such a dog5hit film, I switched it off half way through, I didn't watch most of these films thanks to your reviews Adam, must have saved over 200😅
I understand the flaws of Avatar 2 and the franchise but I actually liked that movie a lot. I know it is mostly a tech demo but it sucked me in. Again I know the story isn't strong and was a re hash of the first one down to literally the final shot. I just can't help but enjoy that world and characters. Maybe I'm easily entertained but yeah i liked Avatar 2 quite a bit.
Review The Night Swim, i know you’ll love it
Strays looks terrible. I miss comedies.
Bro was so right about every movie he talked about
Meg 2 ... got denied Ruby Rose's forearms every time he-she whuz on screen. dang. an he-she really whuz gunna reinvent batman-gurl
Avatar 2 was ass for sure
What is shocking to me about "Leave the world behind" is it's writen AND directed by the same guy that made mr.robot one of, if not the best TV show I've ever scene that ALSO has a lot of messages but with an incredible story and characters.
I hated the first Avatar, never saw the Meg movie and hated myself for watching Insidious Red Door. Also, never saw the five Nights movie and to my dismay, found out there's going to be a Five Nights At Freddy's 2 in production.
0:19 which film is this
Ant-Man & the Wasp Quantumshitia
15:36 I like what you did there 😂
Great rant on leave the world behind! What a waste of 2.5 hours.
Bro.......bro 🦈
I am blind in one eye. 3D is lost on me.
1. The Black Demon
2. Rebel Moon - Part One: A Child of Fire
3. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
4. Meg 2: The Trench
5. Napoleon
6. 65
7. No Hard Feelings
8. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
9. Shazam!: Fury of the Gods
10. Barbie
Little Mermaid, Blue Beetle and the Marvels too....
Glad to see you feeling better Adam
I didn't like Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning. Was a fan of MI series, especially of Macquarie & Tom duo. However Dead Reckoning ruined it for me. So many things were clearly off with that movie for me.
#1 is " haunting in venice " this
is the WORST/ 💩 movie"2023
stale & very boring..it's NOT
even SCARY film..
I agree about Avatar 2. If you've seen Avatar 2009, there is no need to watch Avatar 2.
Great summary, it’s seriously sad how many horrible movies have come out. Love the content, happy new year!
Bird Box 2??? I didn't knw 😅😅😅😅
I only enjoyed Meg 2 Nothing on this list Though
I haven’t been to a theater since Barbenheimer this summer. I used to go to the theater 2-3 times a week. It’s wild how much I don’t care about any movies coming out.
Still want to see minus one though
Finally someone saying like it really is!!!
You lost me when you trashed Avatar 2. 😂
I don’t agree, I liked Avatar 2.
Snore, love and blunder😂😂
You forgot to mention the obsession of water creatures Avatar 2 left behind like the awful Little Mermaid....
Dune was boring crap I kept falling asleep. The 84 one wasn’t great but even that was better
No Exorcist!?
You are pretty funny. Kinda reminds me of a young Stuckmann before he became woke
I LOVE Patrick but insidious is so boring with that stupid lipstick demon? Blech!!
Leave the World Behind was ridiculous. It name checks various things and thinks that's good enough to be clever. The tanker crashes into shore and is named The White Lion. The same as the first slave ship to arrive in the Americas. But that's it for that. "See? White Lion! Damn we're learned and smrt!" So what? Most of these others I never saw. Thanks for the list.
Is the stupid Obama’s movie? Because apparently if it’s the same one I’m thinking of not only am I not interested but also they should stay away from the normies as much as possible
@@theanimationcritictaylorri1264 Obama was a producer. I dunno if it's an Obama movie. What do you consider a "normie"?
@@guyjperson either average film fans or the everyday joe that actually wants a film that doesn’t have something to do with a politician also from the way the movie was talked about it sounded like they very much steered a ton of the story. Which I have to admit it wasn’t a ton of noise but from the bit that I did hear about it… they did
@@theanimationcritictaylorri1264 I don't think there was much politics in the film. It was all vague fears of technology and how humanity is ceding all it's agency to AI. Still. Not good.
@@guyjperson except Obama had been factually proven to have been why the country has been in the mess it’s been and Mark Zuckerberg is getting the single most expensive bunker built on another part of Hawaii specifically Kaui… Unfortunately. Which I may add he’s currently in the process of building or scumattics or something.
You and cody leach are my favorite channels, lol I hate to say but I liked ant-man and the meg 2, but your right rebel moon was so bad I really think its just a joke and the real movie is the R- rated version
Whether I agree or disagree with you on movies, I always enjoy your takes on film. Always entertaining Adam! I look forward to what you bring us in 2024
Back in 1917, artistic genius Marcel Duchamp had presented to the world his masterpiece "Fountain," a sculpture that was made from bedpans shaped into a fountain. His idea was to create a symbolic representation of the industrialization of art, how many artistic works were being stripped of their very soul with the use of mass production. If he were alive today, to see the movies from Disney now, he would most likely say "Je te l'avais dit!"
Avatar 2 was awful
WHY THE HELL IS MEG 2 ON THE THUMBNAIL? IT WAS SO GOOD, BRO! BRO, IT WAS SO GOOD!
BRO!
BRO IT WAS SO GOOD BROOOO!!
2023 was a wild year.
The Meg 2 is if fast and furious collabed with jaws. That's why it's so good.
I get it, no indies on the list but indy 5 should be there: an ugly, dreary, pointless, boring mess. The second half of Meg 2 is fun schlock and more entertaining than any scene from Indy 5.
I actually turned Indy off and I was the biggest fan ever as a kid. Even the beginning that everyone claimed to like just looked so fake and like a cartoon. Hollywood needs to let some stuff die. Harrison Ford is 80 years old. C'mon man. If you insist on doing these, re-cast the part and let someone else have a go.
@@bobross1829 agreed. The beginning was just a bunch of stuff, thrown at the screen. The scenes on the train looked awful. Toby Jones was by far the best element of this catastrophy.
Strays is an awesomely hilarious and surprisingly sweet movie. I have to imagine you're not much of a dog person lol. Also think that Leave the World Behind was really good with some really bad parts, but the acting is amazing and the direction is sleek. Other than those two, the rest of this list is ripe with horrid movies. I'd find a spot for Children of the Corn.
Didn’t see a lot of movies this year, only have top 3 worst movies this year:
#3. My Big Fat Greek Wedding
#2. Antman 3
#1. Netflix's The Stray
My worst movies, that I was so disappointed in I turned off:
1. Indiana Jones- even the beginning looked fake. I hate de-aging. It all looks like a cartoon. The whole cool thing about Indiana Jones is locales and fistfights and adventure like it is a 1940's movie. Just like the last one, this looked like a CGI fest. Re-cast the part if you insist on continuing this franchise. Ford is 80 years old for cripes sake.
2. Ant Man- everything wrong with post Endgame Marvel. CGI spew that looked fake and the cast looked like they were on a tiny soundstage, practically running in place in front of green screens. Scott's daughter was an annoying Mary Sue and Kang was just not a good villain. He looked like the secretary for the real villain. And he was defeated by Scott in a fist fight..the most comedic superhero they have. And then ants..lol. Real intimidating there.
3. Heart of Stone- Worst "twist" ever. About a half hour in they do a "twist" that is just sooo dumb it ruins the movie. Makes so little sense on so many levels it really just is head shaking. This movie also makes the cardinal sin of demanding you care what happens to some sci fi impossible mcguffin. The McGuffin is just supposed to be a thing you hang the real story around, where it is about the journey or cool characters. No one cares about some "heart" AI thingy, but this film became all about that after the twist.
4. Rebel Moon- Just dumb, Mary sue lead who somehow throws around trained guy soldiers with a 100 pounds on her (she hilariously looks about 120 pounds soaking wet) and was a 100% rip off of like five different movies. Especially Magnificent Seven.
bro MEG was so good bro
I actually really liked Avatar 2, especially on 2nd viewing
I think you need to take a break in reviewing movies. You don't seem to like anything.
Maybe you should actually pay attention before saying something so stupid.
Just in the last couple of months I liked or loved the following:
The Iron Claw
The Boys in the Boat
Salaar
Migration
Aquaman 2
Wonka
American Fiction
Napoleon
Thanksgiving
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
Poke the avatar fans right off the bat in 2024. Maybe bring on hack the movies for a 5 hour Zach Snyder marathon bash just to get the new year started off right next. Great and fun stream!
Avatar the way of water is a masterpiece.
Minus Godzilla Minus One
Just what the internet needs. Another hopeless movie critic.
