Great channel. Wacky always catches fish. My cousin and I had a crazy day once here in Texas. I caught 46 bass and he caught 45 in 11 hours on the kayak. New Subscriber here.
Light weight soft plastics have been the key for me too bro. I just went out today. I threw everything in my tackle box and caught nothing until I threw on a texas rigged craw with a light splitshot. I pulled out a nice 3ish pound smallie and a 2.5lb largie. It seemed like they wanted it slow and on the bottom. I have to try out the fluke thanks for telling me.
Yes they were 1/0 hooks. The size might be different from brand to brand im not quite sure. Gamakatsu makes good hooks so I try to go with them. Try them out and let me know if they are too small. If they are, I will try and find something else to put in the description. You should have no problem with them though. Thanks for letting me know Colin good luck!
Hey ihop it depends on what kind of fishing you are going to be doing. For fishing in cover or a lot of structure I use heavier line. It also depends on what kind of lures you are using. If you are using light soft plastics or finesse lures I would go with lighter line. If you are fishing a jig on the bottom I would go with heavier line. Braid is super sensitive which means you will feel all of the bites, but braid is also super visible to fish in clear water. I was fishing in ultra clear water, so I used an 8 pound fluorocarbon leader with my 10 pound braid in this video. I hope this helps. These kinds of things can be very situational. If you need any more help feel free to ask.
@@NikolasMarshall okay so i do a little of everything yk i do some soft plastics and i fish jerk baits and stuff like that what do you think u should get that would be good for most situations
Ok I would just go with 10 pound braid. If you use one rod for all of your fishing then braid will work fine. If you have multiple rods for different lures then it would make sense to pick and choose which line you use.

Wow! That is absurd man I hope I can put up numbers like that one day. Thanks for subbing!!!
new sub good stuff
thanks bro that means a lot!
Only reason I don’t like the wacky rig is cause you have to fish it so slow
1000% agree, but I use whatever gets the job done lol
@@NikolasMarshall I’ve been loving a weightless or 1/16th weighted fluke recently. So versatile can work it like a creature bait or swimbait
