Graystudio's Latest Keyboard - FRL 1800?

This is graystudio's latest board, and it may be the nicest looking board they have come out with in recent times. It has a pleasant sound profile, feels great, and is fun to put together despite a few delicate gaskets (honestly not that bad). I think the only real short coming of this board is the sound profile of the arrow keys and some of the numpad are a tad bit thinner compared to how the alpha area feels and sounds. Overall, it's a fun aesthetic mixed in with a really fun layout.

Hey all! I hope you enjoy the video, once again I apologize for not have every detail about this board. I know it's still in the IC phase so thats probably why there isn't too much info but I wish I had more to share! Overall the showcasing of the board was fun and the emo switches were great too!
Hi. What do you think is the best plate for an aluminium case? Is there a sweet spot?
This board looks good and I'll probably pick it up. I still wish it had more space design elements like the Space65. More milling on the sides or the off color plate in the middle or more rounded corners. This just looks like a nice normal board to me.
Damn, I just bought a TET for a spacecraft themed build. I really dig the design aesthetics on this, it just looks so good.

Another amazing stream sir. I love everything about what Graystudio did. FINALLY no flex cuts on their pcb and their plates! But the side lights make it look like a Monsgeek... kinda cheap looking.

The side lights are just ok in my opinion. I don't mind them but kind of wish they were solid blocks of light instead of little circles.

Hope they end up also offering a 1.6 PCB as well. Would make the board a lot more attactive imo.

It’s a nice feeling when finished soldering yeah but the feeling that you’re gonna have to desolder them all just to try out other switches really sucks

I'm skeptical about the structural integrity of the HUGE overhang for the accent column on the top piece, looks like it would bend easily when pressed.
I've been using the board quite thoroughly the last few days and have not had any weird issues at all if that helps!

If you watch my streams / see us comparing boards I can assure you, the boards do not same the sound.

Don't worry. Soldering is not going anywhere. As long as there are failure points in a board soldering won't go anywhere. Ask me how I know.

graystudios been dropping off lately imo. their designs have become so lackluster compared to their original designs its insane, but thats preference 🥱
No I think it’s all preference I personally still can tell this is a graystudio board and like how it’s been refined
I guess it’s personal preference but it looked great to me
