one tip - pure horse archer armies can shoot all their arrows and then withdraw without any real downside, its a good way of whittling down enemy forces as they march through the very large territories in the east. You can even do this while sallying out in siege battles. Dont ever feel obliged to take on enemy infantry head on...
Used to play vanilla third age on my old laptop when i was a kid, ran alright but not optimally ofcourse. Seen some of your Dac videos and it re-ignited my love for the game. Looking to get a desktop to start playing again but dont want to get a proper gaming rig. What equipment would you recommend that would handle the game relatively well without costing a fortune? Thanks in advance
Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, rx 6600xt GPU, 16 or 32 gb of ram (50$) 2tb of fast good SSD (80$) 600w power supply, any b450 or b550 motherboard, any 60$ case with front intake airflow. Can build this for about 500 if you get the CPU for good deal at like 110. Don't spend more than 100 on motherboard. GPU shouldn't be more than 200
the script can be triggered within as few as 4-5 turns or as long as it takes you to break your oath with mordor and then attack them on the next 1-2 turns from that the script will fire i did this yesterday when harad did not send its nearby army to help me in battle when i was fighting both gondor and dol Amroth i ended up losing not just my most veteran army but a general i had been planing to make my faction heir when he got a little better (liked his name ) so due to this i broke my treaty with them and attacked them the next turn mordor and rhun both declared war on me and one turn later the blue wizards script fired in total it was about the 6th turn max and yes i had edited the movement range of armies so i could expand faster
@@legacy9171 depending who you choose you get half and less of what would AI get in your situation, that is what i am talking about. If you side with wizards, you are attacked with 3 times more troops then what would you get should you side with mordor. I am not sure what are you talking about
Yeah it gamey. That definitely a problem with some of the scripts. I really think sometimes the anti player bias with scripts gets a little much. Like ok I know the last stand scripts exist to keep players from just rolling the ai but it doesn't make sense that a faction that hoards like the aa get a last stand script.
This was Galu’s idea. It was overruled however as no one liked it and there was no decent way to implement it iirc. I know this answer is 5 months late but :p

Yes. Though recruitment for the dwarves units is pretty limited they make for a much needed anvil for your cavalry.
And never underestimate the power of dwarven catapult it brings too, for infantry focused armies.

I only give AI control of my units when I'm mopping up routing enemies. Every now and then archers if they are in skirmish.
How come you don't put timestamps/chapters for all the different sections of your overview videos anymore?
Am i the only one thinking it is super cheap and gamey to give you half wizard armies when you choose them and twice mordor ones, and vice versa
You need them to fight the enemies the script throws at you so not really
