I love that your ratings are realistic. I see so many people rating even books they hate a minimum of 3 stars. Or they seem to just love every single book. The way you rate makes me feel like I am not alone with picking up 1 star reads from time to time.
Wow thank you! The biggest thing I was nervous about regarding posting my thoughts online was that people would think I was too harsh. I think I’m a bit of a tough critic 😅 but I appreciate you seeing it as realistic
I love the format of this video, where you really talk about books in depth, not just letting us watch how you decorate your spreads. Talking about which, you're really good at it, the spreads look fantastic, the bunny spread even made me want to read the book despite your review, only because of the aesthetic you created on those pages, which is unfair 😂

What you felt about the Starless Sea, I felt about the Night Circus. I hated that book through and through. It lacked everything except flowery writing. I went through it thinking I'd admire this book, I bought both it and Starless Sea and unhauled them both immediately after finishing The Night Circus 😂 it's actually one of these books that I just cannot understand the hype about, but I guess this is how tastes work.

Your thoughts on Bunny are sooo valid and validating. I didn’t understand the hype and I still gave it 3 stars but the more I’ve thought about it, the less I like it 😂

I'm reading the road as my next Cormac McCarthy book, I listen to audiobooks with my husband and these are his picks. We started with, no country for old men, and then read, blood meridian, last month. So I'll be reading the road at some point soon and now I'm really looking forward to it. Also your spreads are super cute and I love that you are using super tips.

I loved your style of reading journaling. I also don’t care to match the spread to the book. It’s more fun that way. I also enjoyed how you talk about the books. I really enjoined reading Honey Butter Pig Bread in January; reading it feels like talking to 3 friends lol

Where do you get the background paper for your cover page? I love them so much
This is probably not very helpful, but I use paper packs from either a dollar store or Michael’s. The one I used for January was from my local dollar store, so I don’t know what it would be called, but I usually just flip through scrapbook paper packs and find a sheet that I like

Thank you! It’s the font Warmesty. I just looked up pictures of the letters and tried to copy them
My daughter read The Road and hated it. It was a high school requirement.
A high school requirement??! I mean I suppose I get it, but still. That would be a tough one to get through
@guessimbeth The high school my oldest 2 children went to was a liberal arts academy. They both read Into the Wild as 10th graders. I always read along, so they had an adult they trusted to digest what they read.
