I have mained Havik since day one. I can tell you because he was bad for a year no one cared. People do not know the match up and get hit by everything. Mavado was his only savior till these buffs. Sonic calls everything broken and peeps just take what he says as gospel. Havik still has his issues and still suffers in games. He's definitely top 10 and not top 1. He's full of gaps and you can fuzzy the low. People should hit the lab and stop crying online for nerfs. Nitara, johnny, Sindel have been doing crazy stuff since day one but everyone acting like only havik exists lol

The thing is, Havik was never really terrible as people made him to be. Sure, he might have been a bit underwhelming, but he was misunderstood. I've been a Havik main since launch, and I've reached God ranks with Havik and Kano each season. Havik is a solid A tier, in my opinion. they didn't change his frame data at all. They only gave him new moves. All his new moves are punishable as well, and all of his pressure can be poked out because all his strings start high besides his back 2 2. There are better characters in this game. The fact that people think he's broken now with simply only new moves shows how much people slept on Havik.
@@CalamityMass I agree with this, I mained Havik at launch as well, and then drifted away after about 3-4 months, came back when Mavado dropped. Is always that he just needed an extra something and now he has it and feels COMPLETE. It really goes to show how many people have little knowledge of Havik because 80% of the things he’s doing now, he has always had, now it’s just better.

This is no debate. I played low tiers like noghtwolf and skarlet in mk11 and they felt more playable than pre buff havik
Because Johnny has the most solid kit in the whole game, and its hard to nerf him too much because it would ruin the character. Kind of like kenshi/sento too much nerfs would break that character as well.

@MAKEOUTtEEJ come on man im not gonna go over every single nerf he's gotten since beta. Let's not be intentionally obtuse. He literally had a 6f d1, a plus 3 11 string that jailed, 1000 health,bd1 was 1 bar, his parry used to be almost instant with meter burn,damage scaling was better,etc. And most of those nerfs happened AFTER the beta so I'm not sure why you are acting like you don't remember these nerfs.
In all honesty cyrax and havik are getting overhyped, they both struggle against the right play styles. Cyrax struggles to open you up and with dealing with aggressive characters. And havik still has the same problems fr. He can be flawless blocked and armored to hell, his protectile is not that great and his new low move is death on block same as majority of his specials
I do feel like havik is top 5 from my experience fighting sum haviks but I feel u can still beat him u jus have to relearn the match up versus havik in my opinion plus love yo videos keep up the amazing work
Havik is top 2, behind Homelander, maybe tied with Johnny. Like against every top tier, learn the match-up. He is frustrating, he is good, better than any character we’ve had on release. But he’s still only as good as the player using him. If you are better than a given Havik player, you will still win most of the time, but those losses will be quicker and much more decisive
@@CrilpFlorp I hear you, it’s just hard for me to put him that high over, Johnny (best buttons) , Kenshi (near infinite block strings and pressure), Sindel etc. But I think the case with him right now is lack of match up knowledge. I think people will see this more in the next coming weeks
