I actually have a 2007 Honda Elite 80 with just over 1,800 miles in a really nice silver. And yes, it does have a little cover for the wiring up front. Such a neat scooter!
Ive had a 1987 since 1988 and no problems since besides tires and seat and they have been replaced and new air filter and now runs like new again. the old air filter looked like it was never changed and caked with oil and dirt and it was starting to run strange with less power, im surprised it ran at all in that condition, guess my dad never changed it. check your filters, made a huge difference, jsayin ;)
No offense. Why do basically a review and compare an older style Scooter to a new one and complain. This was very popular the way it was. Yes it’s older styling and technology but it’s not antiquated.
I owned a 1999 Honda Elite 80 and it was a very nice little scooter. With about 5BHP it topped out around 40mph on level ground so it was really too slow for the main roads. It was great for riding through the local neighborhoods though.
I once suddenly lost all of the air in my rear tire at 40mph, and since then I have had a hard time going faster then that speed and thoughts of it happening again consume me every time I ride now and it is hard for me to enjoy my scooter as I once did.
A Friend just bought one for 200 bucks , it needed nothing from me , local mechanic, runs great took it for test ride does well has 4,000 miles on it , i think good deal. oh and looks simple to work on. i think 2010, any input from anyone.
@@scootersonlyrepair6773 My friend started playing with the spark plug , for some unknown reason he stripped it out , put in that aluminum filler coil still stripped out , he called and is bringing it to me , i plan to just replace the head, think i will have any trouble finding a used one or can i still order one that old , i imagine head gasket must be replaced also
The left side plastic with the cutout by the air box isn’t a handle it’s so when you sit on it the plastics don’t hit the drive belt case..and the handle under the side of the seat is for the passenger. There one on each side.
@@scootersonlyrepair6773The Honda Elite 125 was only made in the USA for one year 1984. It became the Elite 150 Deluxe in 1985 and stopped being produced after 1986 in the USA. Jim McMahon, Grace Jones, Adam Ant and Devo to name a few of the celebrities that starred in their commercials The Elite 125 and 150 Deluxe also starred in major Hollywood movies like "The Terminator" and "The legend of Billie Jean" Now outside the USA if your speaking you may be right? No. The elite 150 is the ultimate scooter of the 80s. The 150 wasn't made after the 80s. The ch 80 was made for just half of the 80s. But all of the 90s and 3/4 of the 2000s
