Honestly, he's so good at carving that we should make him the president of carving. He would be our first President of Carving. Basically what I'm saying is, he would be our George Washington Carver. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go remove myself from UA-cam in shame for that abominable pun.
I lot of it has to do with the run itself. You have to skid some to control speed and compensate for traffic. Also, be smart! ALLWAYS be aware of those uphill behind you when you are carving across a run. I always look up on my toe side and over my shoulder on my heels. "SA" situational awareness for snowboarding, driving, etc. be aware and be safe . great video. Never be oblivious when riding!!
Great and useful video. I am glad you are back riding💪. You and Ryan are the most knowledgeable snowboard youtubers, at least this is my opinion. And I watch a lot of youtube snowboard content...😉
Glad your hip is getting better and you are back out riding! I had hip surgery in May of this year...only been up two days so far this season but can feel the fatigue come on mid day in the hip. Keep grinding brother!
Glad seeing you back on snow the and doing tricks! As far as stance, do you think having a little more parallel stance compared to duck stance will help with carving?
3 days riding into the season for me and I’ve caught myself accidentally doing drill 5 just cuz it feels natural lol. Also learned revert carves on Tuesday looking to perfect that one when I wake up. Gunna be an awesome winter!
I have bad habits of looking down at my board and dropping my posture no matter how much i practiced on the hill. What really has helped me is doing NFL footwork speed drills in front of a mirror. It's a good way to get your brain and legs/feet on the same page and get your eyes up and back straight. Your carving muscles will feel the burn. Also, you get agile feet and legs which is an added bonus.
Unless you're riding park, you should not have any gap between highback & boot spine. So if you have a slight gap, try increasing forward lean in slight increments.
64 years old and getting back on a board after a 16 season break. These videos are priceless. Thanks, see you at Mt. Bachelor.
56 yrs old snowboarder and yes your stuff is priceless..thank you ..
Great winter because of this set up. Best for beginners
Love Ryan he is such an amazing carver. I have learned much watching him

Yeah, he has a more in depth video about being situationally aware when making wide turns.
Looks like recovery's going well - great to see! Drills look good
Thanks Tommie looking forward to trying these out in January! Greetings from Ireland
Mate this is superb. Literally top of my homework list. Good short video, maxed out content. Laughed my ass off at the head down antidrill
Great and useful video.

I think your right man , I tend to jump between him and buckhouse to binge watch before I head out to colorado for the snow.
Going to try this switch tomorrow! Thanks Tommie!
Perfect timing!! I wanted to get my carves nicer this season

This is making me miss Breckenridge so much. If I had more money, I would just move there and snowboard every day in the winter.

Impact shorts yes or no??
Do you recommend tilting the high back forward to get earlier heal side engagement?

RIP Ryan's blue jacket
i heard you've got waterproof hoodies
goat
Which mountain are you guys riding at?
You say ancles, but the ancles are wrapped in the boots, what you move a lot are your knees. Slow down your video at 0.25x and you will see clearly
Noice
ngl guy cant stop bouncing and my eyes are getting tired tryna follow xD
looks like i was doing carves wrong this whole time :/
Hey bro! You’ve got a booger sticking out of your nose in several of your videos. Its disturbing a gross KEKW 😂🤣😂🤣😬😬
