I am that guy 😄👍I played Gordon and it happened by accident. The first and only acting I ever did. Was brought here by a recommendation and didn't expect that. Cheers 😊
It certainly doesn't show that you'd never acted before! Little Gordon certainly had recurring character potential if the show had continued - thanks for getting in touch!
I recall having my parents rent DVDs of Rex the Runt for my sibling and me to watch when we were rather young. I don't think they would've been happy about the cursing but it was a joke between her and I to just randomly say "Tuesday" and confuse the hell out of my parents. Many years later and this video reminded me that no, it wasn't all a fever dream lol
A handful of the models did indeed survive. Me and a few other people here on UA-cam i know are huge rex fans and we've found images of the props in the modern day. A season 1 wendy sold on a props website. And the 4 main cast from season 2 sold in a shop in Cardiff. There's plenty of other models what are still out there to.
Not all the props were lost! In a little electrical/general goods store off, set a little way from the highstreet in Cardigan (Wales) there's a display case with props from Rex the Runt, The Gogs and I think a few other Aardman shorts. They have a fairly ancient website: www.mikesshop.co.uk/page30.html
I have this on DVD and still watch it at least once a year. Total comfort TV. My GF and I often just randomly quote Vince at each other “HatchyPlan” hehe.
Thank you! Yes, it's interesting that so few people seem to remember the show - even Aardman themselves don't acknowledge it that often! It's always been my favourite though. :)
@@ChrisDalek most people don't know it but Aardman showed a lot of love for rex in the early 2000s with loads of merch available on there website. And they still acknowledge it. T shirts were released in 2019, 2021.
great video man loads of effort gone into this (8 i remember watching rex the runt as a little kid such a good and underapprciated show- managed to find the DVD with both series on amazon for £15 so happy :D
Season I of Rex The Runt is one of the best things ever to grace TV. Unfortunately, season II seems to have been made by people who had nothing to do with season I and it felt really weird. I like to simply pretend the show never got a second series.

We need to revisiting this cult classic.

#BringBackRextheRunt!
True we need it back. But sadly it's unlikely

My mate got me a photo of rex, Wendy, bob, and Vince and they were sold in a shop. He's called Scott the fanboy 3.0 it's in one of his videos

Excellent video. How have I never seen or heard of Rex the Runt before. Your right about the swearing, the show would work fine without it.

Hello! Could you do a Timewarp TV episode on Gerry Anderson's Lavender Castle?
I'll provide you with the information.

This is the first video I watched on the channel
Mine too.
I adored this programme. It was absolutely hilarious and felt so subversive at the time. Horribly underrated and not remembered!

See, what's weird is that I've never heard of Pip and Pog, but I have heard of this.
I love this show I have the complete series
I love ex the Runt. We need a new series post haste.
Ah complaints from ‘concerned’ parents, I can just picture them now unfortunately
vince's and his random pavaroti disease
I like Rex the Runt
Hopefully, Britbox??
12:39 can some one please tell me what that video is called
Strangely I'm more familiar, with Rex. Though channel 4 where I believe the second season was shown. Aardman and Channel 4 go way back.
