    5 AM on a Saturday, I'm comatose at that time in the AM, especially on the weekend. I had a blast brewing with John and really learned a lot. As for efficiencies, John was all about focusing on repeatable processes, while I love tweaking my efficiencies to a repeatable process to maximize my beer-to-cost ratio (I hate wasting money). Also, if you listen to John closely, he wasn't a big fan of tap water, as I'm not either. I feel that if you spend money on all your ingredients and your time to make a good beer, don't get cheap on the water quality. Spend a little and buy good water if you don't have your own RO system.

      Thank You. Yes, I agree. I think finally understanding water chemistry was the biggest
      " oh wow" moment in my brewing history. I do start from RO water.
