she is one of the greatest singers of all time and only a few selected songs she switched her voice like this. That shrill sound fits perfectly with the song and the novel.
I'd disintegrate from bliss if she looked me with that wide-eyed gaze. It's creepy, it's alluring, it's playful, it's serious. As if her musical talent was not mesmerizing enough
You say that as if liking Kate Bush is in some way controversial. Aside from the possibility that others may disagree, there is literally no reason why you shouldn't tell the truth about liking Kate Bush.
@@calisongbird You are wrong during the late 70s due to Muscian Union rules all solo performers had to sing live to an arrangement by the BBC band. If you look further in the archives you will see Kate's first 'bloody awful' appearance when the band could not cope with the complexity of the song and played at the wrong speed. As a nineteen-year-old, making her British tv debut she just ploughed on through it. For this return, she was able to take control by playing the piano at the correct speed using complicated time signatures and chord sequences. The band still struggled to play along and the recording had to be restarted on a number of occasions, This was commented on by the presenter Noel Edmonds who said he had never seen anyone take control in such a charming way. He actually refers back to this a few months later when Kate is a guest on the Multi-coloured swap shop (children's tv show)a few months later.
Hmmmm a little Tori Amos inspirer :) You can always tell when you listen to a more contemporary artist all the little hints of something beautifully nostalgic...its usually what makes them so lovely to listen to especially when its outside the run of the mill. You don't know where it comes from right away but you know you are familiar with it.
Out on the wily, windy moors We'd roll and fall in green You had a temper like my jealousy Too hot, too greedy How could you leave me When I needed to possess you? Yeah it's strange the lips sync ok, but the piano you do see her playing is way out? Did they cut all the strings on the piano so she could hammer away while she sang...hahaha
This isn't a lipsync though. You can hear plenty of bum notes. Also whenever she mimed, she always used the straight studio version and this definitely isn't it lol

Indeed, an incredible teenager!
Woow. Amazing i
One of best ever songs ... love it, each time I listen to it after million times, always touch me in the heart
By far the best live-performance of this song she did; probably because she doesn't have to dance at the same time. Top!
"live". mh....
Top of the Pops was never live, all lip synced.
