One thing about PK80 replacement parts, they are often slightly different sizes and specs. An aftermarket cylinder, may be slightly taller or shorter, and have different tolerances. Seems like each manufacturer, and even their production runs, have different measurements.
I like the Thrust pipe- the welds are terrible but I got alot of power switching from a long pipe with muffler at the mid-year wheel. The Thrust has a small expansion chamber on it and along with porting and polish, I think it's the number one way to increase the power of the engine.
Maybe there is a noise we cant hear, but I feel like my 66cc Ebay engine sounds just as noisy at the clutch area. Now I want to pull the cover and look. Been doing some 42 mile trips on the weekends and dont want to get stranded. I've greased the gears as well. Good work on all the testing and rebuilding.
Nice vid, if u wanna make power without an expansion chamber try ditching the reed and windowed piston, bolt up the 21mm carb, advance the timing and maybe try shave 1mm off the top of the cylinder off then make a gasket thats 1mm thick and place it between the head and case that should change your port timing which will help u with top end power fairly cheaply. Cheers
you put in a reed without a windowed piston? I'm surprised it's even running. apparently reeds should always go with windowed piston. I'd be interested to see how that changes things if you're considering it

watch his video on random motorised bike information, at a point in that he mentions using some sort of putty (I can’t remember you really have to watch his video) or something else safe to put in the motor to fill the empty space around the front sprocket, but your best bet is just lifting your chain tensioner if possible, it will fix it much easier.

What would you blame it on if an engine is not running after changing the CDI, magneto, spark plug, and the gas is flowing. And the engine does spark but the engine still does not start?
When you KNOW you have spark and fuel, I would check the following. Magnet has it's key and is tight. Piston and cylinder are in good shape (and not backwards). No oil leaking around seals and/or gaskets. Choke lever is not up. Nothing is plugging your exhaust (yes it has happened to me).
Do you hear any air hissing? Often the head gaskets leak in the PK80 styles. Also certain cylinders aren't allowing enough fuel and air to reach combustion. Those are the ones with the big transfer cylinder bridges
what sprocket are you running in the YD100? My bike is a a Zeda 80 with an aftermarket exhaust, it feels like it reaches its full speed way too soon with a 44 tooth, and I want to go at least 35- 40 mph in straight roads. What would you recommend? I love your videos!
