I worked the Alberta oilfield. Starting at 6 bucks an hour. 1978 and 18 years old. Buddy i would have worked just for the unbelievable conditions of camp. The food unlimited and a roof over my head. I was in heaven. I worked mostly triple rigs and deep wells throughout Alberta mostly the foothills and mountain ranges. All the way up to northern BC and Alaska to the north pole offshore drilling at North Pole. Amazing. left the rigs in 2016. Amazing life. If you are thinking of making big money in the oil industry. Then you better enjoy mathematics. Because if you don't it will unlikely you'll get a drilling certificate. And that's the easiest part. If you to expand into the technology part of the drilling industry. Directional drilling and fracking the many other fields. Make math your priority. And you'll be a rich man in a short time.
The one who reads this needs to learn how to read. As far as the story of Boone Pickens, it is a great one. I was a member of the Pickens army (Pickens Plan) that he formed for the people who believed and supported him. Our nation lost a great man when he passed away. He was without a doubt the greatest energy man of all time. I still own stock in Clean Energy Fuels Corp., a business that Boone started. RIP Boone.
It's funny how times have changed. Decades ago individuals such as T. Boone Pickens, Carl Icahn and Jim Pattison were frowned upon and deemed *corporate raiders* . Today, similar individuals are cheered and called *activist investors* .

Can you say Bartlesville correctly?
He use to invest in shallow gas wells in Pennsylvania
BAR-tlz-ville, MAY-suh, HYOO-guh-tun, YOO-nuh-cal
Good post.
Bartlesville’s pronunciation always confuses people. Especially people from the South. Because Oklahoma isn’t really the South.
@@wspencerhandthere’s always someone to say some stupid shit
Thanks :)

Yeah…because Texas A&M who just raised $4.25 Billion from its alumni through its Lead by Example campaign is really thinking about T Boone Pickens 😂
Cities Service, not "Services".
