i really love the sound design in this game. it's so droning and really makes me feel small and cold in the best way. i love when you enter the area where the birds are flying everywhere and you hear them squawking and then disappearing into the emptiness. the feeling of everyone suffering and here you are alone in your own mind.
The last night I heard this song my generator went out and I was the in a corner, waiting my enemy to come from every direction. No one came, there was just a ghost on my bed. When the new morning came I just felt better. There's something so damn poetic in this night and dawn theme and game. You just have to keep fighting, no matter If in the dark or in the light, no matter if you see your enemy or not or even if us just your mind playing tricks on you. Just fight for that morning even if you can't anymore. And If you fail, it won't be such a problem since you fought without fear.
I love this theme so much. It plays after the player survives the night's horrors, giving them a sense of hope, however shortly after you realise all of this will get worse, more difficult and survival seems less possible, and that sense of hope is quickly diminished. It's great.
Woke up from another dose, I need to check the bear traps, the trader got more mags, I need more gas, barricades are still up, looks like tonight was uneventful.
I like The Three. I'm not gonna lie, I thought the goal was to eventually join the forest. I don't know how else to describe it. I thought it would have been the natural course of action. You change the longer you stay there. Could you go back? Would it feel right anymore to have all of these bizarre, mutant abilities in a civilized world?
He wipes his left glove on his pants, takes out the charcoal from his pocket and starts scribbling... When he finishes, he lifts his dirty hand: "All roads lead deeper into the woods."

“Somber tones chiming out as your eyes open..greeted by the rays of light shining through boarded up windows. You got a few hours of sleep at the earliest hours of dawn. Now however…it was time to assess the damage during the day and prepare for nighttime once more..”
I just completed the game, got the bliss ending. I don't think I'll ever forget the night before it. Pump action shotgun in hand, fending off hordes of charred bodies, ready to take onto the whole forest if needed. I know it's not the true ending, but from the very first night, I feared the woods and its twisted inhabitants. For me, gaining the courage to fight and escape the forest and returning back home, back to safety, will be my true ending. This game was a hell of a journey, and I'm proud to have completed it.
This theme is just amazing. You just went through a day of being hunted by god-knows-what, only for the sun to set inevitably and you, unable to sleep, have to dare the inside of your safe house all night. Maybe not much happens, maybe all hell breaks loose. Maybe there's something already inside or maybe it's just your imagination. But after going through hell, the dawn comes. And this music kicks in. All the fear and tension ends as time itself seems to stand still, waiting on you. But it's not just a comforting song: it's melancholic too. Because, soon enough, all of it will begin anew. You will simply be stuck in the woods once again, running around, being hunted, only for night to come once again. And the cycle just repeats, with this song always being there to welcome you. After all, you are an intruder, stuck in the place you tried to break into. The woods. And in these woods, all roads lead nowhere.

Thursday, December 22nd, 2022 After spending more than three months studying away from home in the capital, the long-awaited winter holidays have finally arrived, allowing me to return home. Today is Thursday, the final day of school before the winter break. All of my friends and classmates have already gone home or are on the road back. Going home, just like everyone else, seems like the best choice. The college dorm is almost empty; no students, no workers. It's the last day of school, and almost everyone has left. There's no dinner in the dorm, and all the shops and supermarkets around are either closed or planning to close later that day. Deciding to stay for extra days despite all of that would be a challenge and wouldn't make any sense... except in the case of a boy who is waiting for his crush to come to the capital during the winter holidays so he can have the chance to request meeting her before leaving the capital and going back home... which is my case. But to my surprise, that meeting was gently rejected. On my way back home, at night, I was listening to this music. The feeling of being denied my chance to meet her is still engraved in my heart, not just in my heart, but also with this music. Whenever I listen it, I recall those strong feelings I had that day that I can not put into words, yet this music perfectly describes them. Almost a year later and still I haven't got the chance to meet her, which makes my connection to this music stronger. As the music quiets down, I realize that some tunes stick around even after the moment passes, holding the weight of things we don't say and dreams we haven't chased. But maybe, finding comfort in feelings we share without words is okay. And perhaps, in the fading notes of this song, there's a promise that tomorrow might be brighter. I deeply thank the composer of this music for enabling me to resonate with it on such a profound level, in a way he may not have anticipated when composing it.
This gives me resident evil save room vibes. A calamity caused by a plague(virus) that invokes the supernatural, monsters that thrive at night, it's dark, you have to conserve weapons and ammo, the unnatural evil takes place at several places of residence, mutants...
