So Slappy wants to stop war between humans by unleashing all kinds of monsters upon the world, so humans will have something to fight against other than each other. His cause sounds noble but it’s also very wrong. As much as I hate war it’s not worth sacrificing innocent lives for a spell that will unleash a living nightmare upon the entire world!
He's also kind of a short-sighted hypocrite, and not only for all the suffering and death he inflicts upon others like the kids point out. Wars and conflicts are often justified by humans fears and demonizations of those they can cast as "the other", so bringing actual "others" into the world in the forms of horrors would only bring society MORE carnage, not less.
@@incrediblefunk7220 He's not perfect, he's only human, and that's what I like about characters in this show. Also, he started off as a good person, though you may not have noticed it. He never wanted to be in that war, he admitted they should not have been there - and he was right - but he wasn't a coward, either. He wanted to retreat, yes, but to prevent the deaths of other soldiers. If he was a coward, he would have just up and left in the middle of the fight while everyone was distracted.
Something i personally think would be interesting to see is in the goosebumps books, slappy adopted two children named jackson and rachel, rachel took after slappy iin that she had no problem with his evil plans while Jackson was good but forced through hypnotism to do bad things like slappy. If they put that in this series it would i think be interesting for the character development and to see if slappy has some shred of humanity in him enough to ethier use or care for his children. It might even be more interesting if they or jackson specifically had a complicated relationship with his sister and slappy and maybe see what slappy would choose. Just me?
