This dream has been on my mind for about six months now and i'm thinking how it can be done. I've gotta admit, it is not an easy task sire. The diversity of Africa alone is unheard of. But to be really strong as a people, we need further integration than a mere sovereign states sharing ideas. I propose a federated state like USA or USSR or any other superpower before us. I strongly have this personal conviction that it is the right way towards our success

Have we fully achieved the purpose of OAU's initial formation in 1963? Have we inched closer to the revamped union in 2002? Have we won the battle against terrorist activities such as the aggressive insurgence of boko haram? Are we even close to the ultimate dream the founders had in mind; the pan african dream? If no then what is derailing us? Is it geopolitical issues, is it the selfishness of the weak, fragmanted, sovereign states we have? Is it because of our achilles heel (diversity). I'm a millenial and i strongly believe in our time, Africa will really get it done. Our participation to the world economy will not just be dishing out precious raw materials to countries that don't even respect our contribution to the world so far. It is time to focus on ourselves more than ever before and decouple ourselves from deceptive aids and investments, directives and collaboration by any foreign investment partner to irradicate poverty, unemployment and to be the next superpower bigger than any other superpower the world has seen. It cannot be done unless the AU is stronger enough to oversee, direct and control the activities of all member states irrespective of their ties with colonial masters. We shan't waste no more time because the window of opportunity is now. i hope somebody hears my cry for a federated state of Africa with one common goal; realising our full potential and being a major contributor to the world order in the positive light.
