If you've got any summer holidays planned, it's important to know what baggage you're entitled to take on the plane. All airlines have pretty tight baggage restrictions, and budget airlines can be particularly tough if you don't follow the rules. It's important to know what you can take, how heavy it should be and what size it should be before you get to the airport. If you leave it to the last minute or you get it wrong, easyJet have some pretty harsh excess baggage fees in place.
I always measure and weigh my bags before leaving home, so I don't get stung at the airport. If I need to book any hold luggage, I do it well in advance of my trip, as it's pretty much always cheaper to do it online, rather than at the check-in desk.
I hope you find this video helpful for your next holiday!

Easy jet has severely increased prices since your vid mate.
I'm getting quote for £42 for large cabin bag per flight (so x2 £84!!!)
& £48 for the 23kg hold bag per flight (x2 £96!!!)
Man -Egypt!!!
Can we carry handbag without any cost ?
Handbags are free. And you pay the prices for a cabin bag calculated by distance.
Time for the fishing vests to come out
The free large upgrade for xtra leg room or up front has stopped unfortunately, since 19th of June they stopped it ! And put the price up on the seats to like £16.99 !! Each !! Shocking like !!
Your videos are so comprehensive and helpful , thanks 🙏
Thanks for watching! 😎
This was very useful, thank you
great video, thanks for doing it.
one question, can ski's go as 15kg hold luggage if the dimensions are less than 275cm or do you have to book it as sports equipment?
This was so helpful. Now have to pay the £5.99 to take the same suitcase i took last year for free.
What is the allowance for hold liquids? I can only see for cabin bags it's 10 100mls but what about hold please? Thanks 😊
This was just what I needed thanks
No worries. Thanks very much for watching!
Very informative 👍 thanks Tom 😊
Thank you for watching!!
Can you take the under seat bag and handbag too?
You did really good explanation except wrong on hold luggage going under plane .maybe I don't no what country your price check is checking but from the UK and tunisa and Turkey it starts at 35each way for 23kg to 46 each way for 32kg
My Delsey carry on is 56.5 cm. Rest are within limit. Would they allow?
Does the 45 cm includes the wheels of the luggage?
I've booked for 3 adults to fly from Bristol airport in June. We've booked for 15kg baggage per person to carry on board.
I've gone on chat with easyJet and they indeed say that we can have one under seat bag and overhead. I'm assuming that both under seat baggage and overhead should total 15kg weight?
We are most likely going to carry a overhead case each.
I don1t know where you get your £ 5.99 from. Last May and September I paid £ 48 return for my large cabin bag (similar in size to the one you shown) from Manchester to Basel. This year in May on the same route it`s £ 92 return, a nearly 50% price hike. That`s more expensive then taking a hold bag. Total rip off. If I could do the same flight with another airline I would do.
SO that adds up to 32L, And I'm good with 28L but finding a 28-32L bag that isn't at least 22 inches (45cm is 18inches) is almost impossible. How picky are they going to be about that? Also bags online always lie about their size so you can't even tell until you get it home and measure it!
Yeah they've changed the policy now so you don't get the large cabin bag and speedy boarding with buying extra legroom or upfront seats anymore as of about a week ago... Days after I bought my upfront for the bag and speedy boarding 😂
If you bought it prior to the 19th of June, you are still entitled to the benefit should you make changes to your flight. That is ofcos if you find the same seat benefit on the flight you change to
@@janicesmall4990 except a lot of the time they tell you they won't honour it if you make changes, only if they change the flight
How to pay £5.99 for extra cabin bag please
So if my hold bag is 18kg does that mean I carry that with me
One big con.. not going to travel on them again ever plus lost my 2 travel vouchers after covid
Not flew easy jet for good few years,i remember taking the bigger bag in flight for free, that £5.99 must be a new thing thanks
Yeah it used to be you could take a bag upto the large size but may need to check it and were only guaranteed to fit the smaller size cabin bag, whereas now, as of about a week ago, you can only take the smaller size for free and have to purchase the larger bag via additional cabin bag/easyjet plus/flexi ticket/standard plus ticket. For about 2-3 years until then you could get it if you pay for an upfront or extra legroom seat which I did for an upcoming trip just days before the change
Is Check in baggage the same as hold luggage?
Yes it is 👍🏻
Is traveling with a backpack as hold luggage okay?
They're expecting heavy suitcases to go in the hold. They stack suitcases one on top of another. So a backpack would be carry-on luggage. It's a 15kg limit too. Then again some backpacks are huge like a suitcase so they would go in the hold.

Just ripped off for £48 by easy jet ,for a cabin bag which ive
used flying with Delta, Airlingus
Jet2 and even Ryanair with no
Issues whatsoever and best of
all flew with same bag in july
with easyjet and again no probs So beware folks i dunno
if they have reduced the size of
their baggage check cages as
they were crafty enough to do
the baggage check , as i was
about to board the aircraft ,at the gate ,a crowd behind me and no time to argue, So do yourselves a favour, and fly with jet 2 as i will be doing
from now on
Most of the time the staff don’t check. If it’s visibly close enough they won’t care. What happened is you took a bag beyond the allowance and got caught out. The same thing will happen to you on Ryanair with the same bag if you gamble on staff not checking and lose.
@@KingEurope1 Well facts are that larger bags than mine, were allowed
into the cabin overheads, and as i stated i flew with Ryanair with no issues a few months before in addition having a littie more time
boarding on the return flight i checked the sizing basket, they
use to assess the bag size and
found they had fabricated a couple
of brackets which they fitted on the
basket ends to reduce the size
of the basket, from the original
size which my bag would have
fitted comfortably, so less of a
gamble , more of a stacked deck
Tbh.
Large cabin bag is costing me £35 extra per bag 😢😢
£40 extra for me with 10kg limit on it
Can we take with as handcarry 😢
can you confirm
Charges are a con to get more cash from you….Scam
Can you take vapes in your hand luggage?

Deserve more likes and comments but us british are too damn lazy
