I am absolutely loving your videos. I've tried to make clothes before and they inevitably end up far too large. You have equipped me with the knowledge I needed and soon I will have a stunning new dress to prove it!

How would you go about cutting the muslin for a pattern in my own size, while preserving the other 4 sizes available on the pattern? My weight fluctuates from year to year sometimes.

Hi Faren! I've just discovered your channel. You touched on the lengthening and shortening patterns, are you able to expand how the shortening and lengthening method works in practice. Sorry if you have done this in other videos, i havent watched all of your channel yet.

I made my daughter a dress and it's cute! But the inside seams and edges look atrocious... I'd love a video on how to keep the inside neat especially if one doesn't have a serger 🤗

Thank you so much for your suggestion! This would be a great video.... my serger is not functioning at the moment, so I am using alternative methods. I will definitely need to share how I am getting on without. ✨

I have know idea if you will respond but here goes, I am making pattern 122 in the edition of burda style magazine you are using in this demo. (06/2020) to be exact. I am stuck at the collar/neckband instructions. Do you know the technical name of they type of collar on blouse 122? Maybe I can find a youtube video tutorial. I need the directions translated. lol

Hi Susan, the top you are doing is very cute and looks to be pretty straight forward. The collar is a crew neck using a facing. My partner can translate hw Italian but I think your best bet is to use the google translation app bc you can use your camera over the words to translate the text. But if I were giving the insteuction on how to sew it qould be like this:
      1. Gather/shirr up pieces 6 and 7 (adding trim to hem edge if desired).
      2. Sew up shoulders and add the ruffle to cf gusset (piece 2 and 3).
      3. Add gusset (piece 1)
      4. Sew CF plackets
      5. Sew shoulders for collar on all pieces (you should have 4x piece 4 and 2x piece 5).
      6. Sew these collars together (this is the seam closest to the neck and ahould be sewn at 1/4") and then you can attach to body.
      6. Sew collar to body of garment making sure the ruffle fits (if not shirr uo more).
      7. At the front edges of the collar you need to finish the front edges (kinda like you are finishing a waistband).
      8. Ideally you would finiah the collar to secure it by "stitching in the ditch". Or yiu can hand sew?
      9. Use bias tape to bind the armholes, i prefer doing this when the side seams are not sewn yet....
      10. Sew side seams!
      11. Hem garment
      12. Add Buttons and buttonholes - if you have teouble finding the placement I have video on buttonhole and button sewing /placement.
Hope I was some help! Good luck with sewing... if you have any further questions feel free to connwct with me on Instagram - I answer all my DM's!
      6.
