This car is as old as I am. It's in better shape too. Lol. This is such a cool car. You don't see the 4 doors very often. Definitely adds to the unique quality of the car. 👍
great video kyle alll those parts oh my the chvelle is going to look sick once the parts are all on man i cant wait for you to dive in further into the project like that engine looks really nice and the parts that are going on it i cant wait to see what it looks like once its put together and yes i do miss the other projects cant wait when you do go back to them i really misss the s10 and 240sx both my favorite projects i like every project and video you do really entertaining great job thumbs up and shared
This will be a sweet car once it's finished. Doing it for the sentimental value of your wife makes it special, as well. I hope you got everything planned to make everything work. The column shifter wouldn't work with the 4L80. And the rear axle will defi3 be needed to be replaced with a stronger one. Good luck.
I appreciate it! I did a universal linkage setup when I put the V8 and 700R4 in my S10 so I'm hoping to do the same thing here. I have a fabricated Ford 9" for this car. Everything will be upgraded accordingly. Thanks for watching!
That engine so nice at first I thought u were going to put the junkyard one but that's a clean engine to me with the car I'm trying to buy a s10 blazer but in 05 IV seen so many of them on the road in the best condition that would be my project car that I'm going to rebuild btw I'm going to keep the stock engine and restoring it to it former glory 😂 btw I was thinking about doing the same thing with a GMC suburban saw one for 1 grand that one of my mother friend bought it and that there grand children made a mess in the back btw if u have a child don't let then eat in ur car 😂👍
I was having that same thought. The 4L80 is ancient compared to the 5 and 6 speed versions. But it's a great upgrade when you consider that it had a 2 speed Powerglide.
well feller is defenetly got himself a nice package for the power barn. defenetly waiting for the day when you feed her all the onions and convert some of the tires into smoke. Just watched Derek from Vice Grip Garage finshing his install of a chevy big block into his two door chevelle he calls independence.
Hi I have the same exact car with 25k miles on the motor, interior is in good condition I just started working on it about a week ago after having it locked away for about 8+ years . Anything you would reccomend?
Sounds amazing! If it's in good condition already, I would just stay hyper organized, bag up all hardware, label things and take pictures as you go. I had to toss a lot with this car due to rust and deterioration, but thankfully pretty much everything is available repro if needed. If the engine hasn't been started in a long time, you will need to prime the motor with oil to make sure there's lubrication through the motor. Good luck!
@@saabkyle04 yes I primed it with Diesl & Transmission Fluid & it started at first crank. Would you recommend keeping the original motor or swapping it for a LS? ( I've had multiple people tell me to Swap it) but I honestly wanna keep the original motor in to keep it original
99.9% of your subs either can't afford a project or their project sits for years on end due to budget and/or time. Watch Kyle and his loads of sponsors get this done and running in a timely manner.

Kyle could use “ uncle chevy “ as a nickname since it fits his car collection

Nice restomod video Kyle
Love Resto Mods and I had that 307 Engine in a 1972 Nova and it was disappointing
Nice!! Excited for sure... :-) Great to see a port injection setup....:-)
Good luck kyle
Man, this is going to be AMAZING, so what's going to happen to the original 307? Not going to a scrapyard I hope!
Thanks! I may just keep it for something else one day :)
gonna look meeeeean
Good luck 👍
I was wondering when you were going to provide an update on the Chevelle.
Sweet
Hey Kyle, any reason why you didn't opt for something more modern transmission wise like a 6L80? Or a 6.2L LS?
I was having that same thought. The 4L80 is ancient compared to the 5 and 6 speed versions.
But it's a great upgrade when you consider that it had a 2 speed Powerglide.
Simplicity more than anything. I don't know much about the newer transmissions or how hard it is to use them with aftermarket computer systems.

When are you gonna drive this car? In the alternate future? LOL!
What are you doing with the old drive train
Wow! I’ve never been this early. Hey Kyle!
