You could always try doom builder if you like map making. Also there's brutal doom, which is sorta like doom 2016 and the last one that came out. i never played the new games that much, as i haven't had a console since the 360 and just never bothered to check if the last two doom games have been on sale on steam lol. Your map there was pretty good, with having to do the power core thing and the hanger bit with the platforming added a nice little challenge. I also liked that pillar of autumn map too, that was cool.
Aye I appreciate that a lot! I never was super good at building maps I mainly did it for fun. I’m not too smart when it comes to the technical parts of creating maps like scripts
@@Jackopher No prob bro! And we all start somewhere, aha! Skills improve with more practice and such. If you ever do decide to try your hand at map making for the og Doom, Ultimate Doom Builder is the best map editor out as of right now and I would check DavidXNewton and ChubzDoomer on youtube for tutorials. You can build a decent map without any scripting or any other wizardry. It's a fun hobby!
A big YES. That or true mapping / modding - SOME interface to make maps! Eternal would be eternal if it had such a thing, too - maybe some years from now, a wizz-coder coukd make an external map editor for all the nuDoom games.
Would you like to see another Doom game with Snapmap in it?! It'd be sick ngl. We just need another doom game in general lmfao
I hope that SnapMap makes a return in the next Doom title cuz I've had a lot of fun with this feature when it first came out.
It would’ve been super fitting in Eternal it’s a shame they never saw it through. We can always hope for the next game
