I took this trail the other day in my Ford Maverick after watching this video. Definitely subbed, I feel like the capabilities of the Outback are similar to the Maverick and I like to see what others with AWD vehicles are up to.
A year ago, before the winter 22/23 rains, it probably would have been just fine. But the couple of trails i have revisited this late spring early summer were rather rutted out. This trail looks to have enough traffic to help you get out of stuck spot that you could encounter though. But I'll let Subie be a better judge of that.
I pass by that truck stop everyday going down the 15 for work, had no idea there was a cool little trail there.

Did you need to air down tires?
I don't usually bother airing down anymore. It only helps smooth out the ride a bit on really bad washboard roads.
U think 2wd would be fine here
